Mountainwood Animal Hospital is the only place My husband and I take our animals. The veterinarians know what they are doing and are honest and up front with very reasonable pricing. The staff is not only friendly but go out of their way for you. My dog needed surgery and Renee came into work earlier to accommodate a drop off time for me. I cannot express enough how much of a fan we are of Mountainwood Animal Hospital.

Dr Wagstaff is kind, empathetic and a great vet who knows her stuff. She has helped me with cats and dogs over the years. She is so good that I have followed her from her previous practice and as long as she stays in Colorado, I'll be bringing my furry kids to her!

I absolutely love Dr. R and his team. They've always handled our animals as if they were their own. Dr. Joel in particular has won his place as a favorite. When I had to put my senior kitty down, he was so much more compassionate than what I'm used to with a vet. Recently, when I had to take my Siamese girl in, Dr. Joel made sure I had all the information I needed to have to make a good decision on the level of care she needed, not only for what was affordable, but also for what would cause my kitty the least amount of stress. I refer everyone looking for quality vet care to the Mountainwood team.

Nurse Janie has been there through losing two of our cats and out rottie that we miss very much. Thanks to Mountainwood, they lived long and happy lives behind their estimated time. Dr. R is a jerk sometimes, but he has never suggested anything that is unnecessary and has always helped us find the best ways to care for and protect our beloved pets.

Mountainwood Pet Hospital staff are caring, compassionate and amazing. We recently had to make the difficult decision of putting our dog Jackson down. He was 15 1/2 and lived an amazing life. Dr. R was kind and helped us through this process with Jackson. We are excited to bring a new family fur member home soon and will be happy to take him to Mountainwood Pet Hospital too. Thanks again Dr. R and Staff for helping us navigate this difficult process with Jackson and looking forward to the happier times ahead with a new puppy!

Jan 2021, I'm new to CO and my pup had a problem. Took her to another vet who wanted to spend $800 on tests. Not knowing the vet, I opted to get a second opinion. Dr. Rustic had me out the door for slightly over $200 - labs, tests, meds, everything. COVID precautions meant one of the vet techs came out to the parking lot to get my dog and ask questions. Dr. R, came out asked a few more questions, and got permission to run some tests. A little while later he comes out with my dog, a diagnosis, literature about the condition, and a treatment plan. Five months later my dog is still feeling good, no sign of the previous problems. I am a fan!!!!

I have been to all of the vets in the area and this is by far the cheapest. I was given a $500 quote to remove my dogs mass elsewhere and they were able to do it for $300. The vet has gone above and beyond for us more than once. They are great.

Best Vet I have ever been to.

5 years ago I brought my dog in because he was having a hard time walking. Dr. R told me that I needed to either pay $6k for my dog to have neck surgery or just put him to sleep. He was very adamant that putting him to sleep would be the easiest and best solution. He kept insinuating that I probably couldn't afford the $6k surgery. I took him to a different vet for another option... we changed his dog food and treated him for a liver issue (never treated a neck issue.. because there wasn't one). My dog is still alive & thriving today!

This is by far the best place to take your pets in Windsor and some might argue NoCO. I have 3 dogs and Mountainwood staff does an amazing job at taking care of each of my fur-babies seperate needs. They truly care more about your pets health and well-being than charging you for unnecessary tests or procedures. Highly recommend them and if thy are not accepting new patients see if they have a waiting list you can get on, all their staff is amazing! My youngest pup got into rat poison about a year ago and Mountainwood helped her have a full recovery. Lesson learned the hard way - best practice to use live rodent traps 1) for pet health and 2) so a rodent does not die where you cannot find it.

So far so good. Exceptional staff, techs, and a diverse group of Doctors. Dr. R has consistently shown his care, concern, and expertise with my pet family. It's obvious this practice is not a gold digging place and my pets have been considered before my credit card. I have referred without hesitation and hope eventually they can accept new clients. I think they also know when to refer to specialists who may better help your pet.

The doctors are AMAZING so caring and take the time to hear your concerns. They care more about you and your pet not just the money. However It's hit or miss with the rest of the staff, we have a scared dog who acts agressive and some of the staff are understanding some of them have acted annoyed. We still travel from south loveland to go here though I would still 100% recommend to anyone.
