I love the Metzger Holcomb clinic. It is nothing fancy, but the sincere and capable care for my animals is strong and obvious.

Dr. Holcomb was very to the point and yet still explained the pros and cons of different treatments effectively. She demonstrated effort for her work and I can respect and appreciate that. I will continue recommending this place.

When I lived in Spearfish, Dr. Metzger Holcomb was our go-to vet. When we moved, we had to switch vets and it was so hard! My pets and I have had THREE emergent issues within the last 5 years. Each time, I have called this clinic for help, regardless of where I am living at the time. She is the ONLY person I can count on to always answer and to always give me direct, knowledgeable advice. No nonsense! She goes far above and beyond and deeply cares for animals. Recently, I had an issue with my cat after normal, clinic hours and she was the only one that answered my call. She gave me advice on what to do and even called me back awhile later to check up on how everything was going. It's so nice to have a calm, direct person to talk to when your world seems to be flipping upside down. I can't recommend this clinic enough. Thank you, Dr. Metzger Holcomb! Your knowledge and expertise is so appreciated.

We can’t say enough good about this clinic. We were traveling through in our RV when our dog developed a cough. The RV park management highly recommended them and were right. They fit us in same day, and were friendly and professional. Our anxious puppy dog even stayed calm through the entire visit. Very thorough exam and detailed treatment plan. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

My 5 year old lab actually gets excited to go to the vet. Amazing

Best vet in the Northern Hills! The prices are unbelievably fair. The veterinarian responds quickly and works well with my animals. She gets straight to the root of the problem- no bs- which is why I trust her so much.

The secretary is very rude but the doctor is good. I agree with another lady about how rude the secretary is. She's an old lady but throws a childish fit and throws things at people like me. I'm surprised she's still there. The Vet herself is very good and knowledgeable...but because of that ill woman at the front desk, I will not be taking any pets back! I lost my dog and she just threw the urn at my mother. I think she just needs to retire or learn some gd manners. My two teenagers behave better than this lady. What kind of practice are you running? Because I can guarantee you if You show up at my mother's house like that unexpectedly again I'm going to call the law on you. You should be put out of business. You had no right to show up at my mother's home and then be as rude as you were. Yes I was grieving over my dog still but You had no business doing that. But if you were going to show up on your own like that....hate is a Strong word but I'm contemplating... because I am not a hateful person but I do not like this ladies treatment at all. I'm on it because this woman should have not showed up at my mother's home without permission and the law is involved now. If either one of you decides to just show up at my mother's house or mine, you will be leaving in hand cuffs and I'm still thinking about it because I worked in criminal justice field. It's best that you make it right and you need to get rid of that Ill childish woman. I have a right to my opinion but most of all...she better not show up at my mother's home unexpectedly again or there's going to be a real problem.

Dr. HOLCOMB IS AMAZING ❣❣❣ She truly cares for the animals she treats & is very professional with a heart. I have ALWAYS been happy with the treatment of my fur babies???? Even when it was near their end of life she was compassionate & kind. HER MAIN OBJECTIVE IS TO CARE FOR OUR PETS & ANIMALS???????????? Thanks & Gratitude for all the great care of my fur babies????

They aren't going to screw around with you and charge you an arm and a leg for unnecessary things. They will give it to you straight. I appreciate this so much. It seems this type of business has become a thing of the past. LOVE THIS and the ladies that make it all possible.

Great doctor and has made several home trips when our old dogs had to be put down so they were comfortable at home.

So greatful this Large Animal Veterinarian office saw my mini pig when we were on vacation! They treated her with such dignity it made my heart happy!

This was the worst service I have ever received from both the Doctor and the front desk, they were blatantly rude over the phone and in person when I dropped of my cat. When I asked to talk to the doctor over the phone she was very rude and could not answer any of the questions I’ve asked. I highly recommend going anywhere else but here.

Have gone here various times over the years with not just my own but rescues & friends pets. I'll always recommend. The price is always amazing (no clinic can beat from my experience) . I'm remembered when I walk in the door as is all of the customers and fur babies. I love the factual attitude I receive rather than blowing smoke I've had elsewhere in the past. You get recommended what is best for the animal. Not for their pocketbook. 5 star every time.

Caring vet & cheaper than normal pricing on meds & services I needed to get for my shih Tzu Jessi Lu. Fairly new to her practice after move to Spearfish.
