They have always been very kind to my animals

This vet will absolutely scam you out of money. My cat was showing clear symptoms of diabetes, but did a bunch of tests (or claim to have done) before testing for diabetes and gave me a ridiculous bill. Then, when my cat was boarding with them, they overdosed him on my wedding day. They denied the blame for it but when I came to pick him up, they had discounted my bill for the emergency services (indicating blame). Later, they went on to deny me insulin, demanded more expensive tests, and then ignored phone calls to the vet during hours and on the emergency line for 2 days while I was panicking about not having medication for him. After all of this, the vet said that it didn't matter that he didn't have medication because his blood sugar was already high. I left the vet and my cat is now perfectly regulated (and no additional tests were required). This vet made me think my cat had very serious diseases and needed several expensive tests to fix it, when in reality, he just needed an insulin that is cheaper and actually meant for cats. Also turns out that they were giving me a different insulin than many other animals there. All of this was under Dr. Speiser. Animal Health Center fixed the issues, they are great and will save you tons of money.

Been coming here for years, and they've treated all kinds of my animals from rats to dogs at a very fair price. The staff is incredibly friendly and thoughtful, and excellent at working with my nervous pets!

The staff was very helpful in getting my kitten vaccinated even though I had to have my soon to be daughter in law take her to the clinic. Next month my kitten will be spayed there

I can not recommend Gem City Veterinary enough! We travel full time and realized our 5 month old puppy was sick as we were headed to Laramie. We looked up local vets and chose Gem City based on the reviews. They we’re able to immediately diagnose that not only was our baby, Scout, sick, but she was critical and in multi-organ failure. She spend a week receiving hospital care at Gem City. Every day was a fight, but Jamie and Dr Kelsie Speiser, never gave up on her. They provided round the clock care, coming on weekends, late at night and early mornings to check on her, administer meds, and make sure she was stable. Communication was constant and we received updates several times per day and were able to visit her whenever we wanted. I never questioned that she was in excellent, knowledgeable, and capable hands at all times. After a week, Scout has finally been discharged and hopefully, she is home for good. I believe 100% that Dr. Speiser and Jamie saved her life, and if we had taken her elsewhere, the outcome would’ve been entirely different. ♥️

I recently switched to another vet office for personal reasons, but I have trusted Gem City with my pets for many years and have never been dissatisfied with their services. Highly knowledgeable and qualified staff, and a very friendly place for many furry companions!

They are the most wonderful group of people I have ever worked with. Dr Gill is amazing. They always go the extra mile for us. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Took my aunt and her dog in for a second dose of rattlesnake vaccine. They travel all the time and she had gotten first dose in TX. Gem City was super nice and didn't charge her for a wellness exam as she had records from one a month ago in TX. Vaccine was really affordable and they were great about the whole thing. Thanks guys!

Gem City Veterinary is the best place to take your animals to. I took my cat here when she was sick and they helped me out. I give Gem City Veterinary a five star.

I am tired of incorrectly filled prescriptions, sitting in the parking lot waiting for someone to answer the phone and other delays. It's time to get back to doing business.

Outstanding as always!! The vets and front desk ladies are phenomenal at taking care of both the animals and their owners.

Gem City Vet does not respond to emails (even when they request that you send one) they don't call back when they say they will and have no accountability. You will schedule a procedure, drop off your pet and 6 hours later they will call and tell you they completed a completely different procedure and not the one that you originally dropped them off for. It is beyond me why they are so busy. I suspect it is because they have lower prices, but you get what you pay for (sometimes). Go to Alpine Animal or Animal Health Center instead.

I have taken my dogs here for several months and really don't have anything negative to say about the Vets that work there but the kennel is another story. I left my dogs for about 7 days when I went on vacation. When I returned to pick them up the puppy had diarrhea running down both back legs and the older dog had feces matted in his fur from laying in it and terrible diarrhea. They had both contracted some infection or viral problem in the kennel and they sent them home that way. I called and spoke to the kennel lead tech and she seemed aware there was a problem. It is 4 days since I picked them up and my older dog is still sick and suffering from it. Beware of leaving your animals in the kennel here.
