Everyone here was incredibly helpful, kind and caring when I had an emergency with my pup last night. He stayed for overnight care and is back home safe and recovering in a pile of blankets today. Thank you again to the Docs and staff for everything.

If i could leave 0 stars i would. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE! You are not paying for animal care at this facility ,you are paying for some malignant narcissist to own a business in Fort collins. They pressured me to bring my dog in to be checked out as she had had a few dry heaves earlier in the day. They didnt listen to me and they recomended over a 1000 dollars in services including x-rays and blood work. I was informed that this clinic is more expensive because it provides "emergency services". The doctor and the rest of the staff were patronizing and condescending. These people are soulless.

Our dog was very ill after eating brand new puperoni dog treats on futher inspection they had mold on them .We called the emergency Lemay animal hospital told the receptionist our story she told us to call 10 minutes before you come . This was 5:00 called back 5:30 said we will be there in ten minutes she put me on hold came back on and asked how lethargic he was and I said 5 out of 10 by that time we pulled into parking lot she came back on and said we just got 2 emergencies in we can't see your dog .The parking lot was empty. We had to wait 1 1/2 longer and go to csu. We feel we were lied to .

Unfortunately I have to give my experience a very low mark. My dog was referred to FC Veterinary Emergency Hospital after he was bit by a snake on Thanksgiving. My primary vet was unable to meet his needs on that weekend and they referred me to FC Veterinary Emergency. My dog's throat and face were swollen beyond recognition, and after shaving the bite area, determining it was a snake bite, he was sent home with two pain killers and an anti nausea medication. My primary vet reviewed the notes from the ER and noticed that no anti inflammatory or antibiotics were prescribed, which I was in question of myself. Three days after his visit to this location, he was prescribed anti biotics and anti inflammatory medication. He has now developed a secondary infection requiring surgery. Both my primary vet and the vet performing the surgery were floored that anti inflammatory and antibiotic medications were not prescribed. All in all, I feel like I made a $700 donation to this facility as the treatment that day for my dog proved to be useless.

My elderly cat got a bad upper respiratory infection and we took her here as it was a Saturday and no place else had been open. They charged us 1300.00 dollars to do nothing but give her two doses of antibiotics and some fluids(which I’m not even sure they did because she was extremely dehydrated still when I got her). They also wanted to numb the price up to 3,300 dollars to keep her overnight. Don’t go here, will cost you and arm and a leg and not get any results.

Our guinea pig, Popcorn was acutely very ill and close to death. We called ahead and asked if they would be able to euthanize him to relieve his suffering, they agreed and we headed right over. They had stated over the phone that we would not be able to be present for the procedure. We were fine with this, however being a veterinary professional I double checked when we arrived and asked why we wouldn’t be able to be present. Then, it came out that the doctor is “busy with critical patients” and would not be able to do the euthanasia for a couple of hours. We knew Popcorn wouldn’t last that long and didn’t want him to die alone in a cage. We were told we could call back in a couple of hours then… As a veterinary nurse, everywhere that I have worked we would never turn away an emergency euthanasia. Euthanizing a guinea pig takes less than ten minutes and is not a difficult procedure. My hopes are that the receptionist didn’t grasp the situation we were in or was new and lacking in training and that the veterinarian would not have actually chosen that route of action. After a few minutes of crying in the parking lot wondering what we should do, Popcorn became agonal and started to die. Even though CSUs urgent care wasn’t taking new patients after hours I needed to try to call them to allow Popcorn’s last moments to be gentle and pain free. Although understaffed, CSU took him in right away and euthanized him moments after we arrived. The ER might be a great hospital with great doctors, knowledgeable staff, shiny new machines but due to the lack of empathy we received from the receptionist, we left feeling traumatized from this experience.

My pup swallowed part of a toy and had to have surgery in the middle of the night to remove it from her intestines. They saved her life and I am forever grateful. Clear communication and truly cared about my baby.

This place has very nice staff (especially Kaylee) who showed lots of sensitivity during a hard time . She went above and beyond to help my family and we appreciate it!

Would highly recommend for future emergency veterinary needs. Our cat had a string coming out of her behind. This can be life threatening. The people who spoke to us on the phone and greeted us at the door were professional and calm. They told us the exam fee would be $150 which we found reasonable for an emergency medical visit. Happy to report it was a piece a grass. They took care of the issue swiftly and very generously said we didn’t have to pay for that service. Great full to have some piece of mind and to be able to sleep tonight knowing my kitty is ok. Thank you so much Fort Collins Veterinary Emergency and Rehabilitation Hospital.

I was very suspicious of this place because of reviews, and they were right. My pup only had one Parvo symptom but otherwise she was completely fine. I waited an hour for a Parvo test for it to come back “slightly positive”. Okay??? They very were vague in their explanations, I know I’m not a certified vet but I would love it if they were more detailed. They did not communicate very well. You’re also gonna wait a long time which is a given this is a emergency place. I arrived at 4:30, left at 8. The next day I go a different vet and her Parvo test comes back negative. I call again and the vet tells me, “sometimes the test can be a very strong positive or a weak positive”, wow thanks for telling me after I spent $720 at your facility. The Parvo test was $115 by the way, you can get a Parvo test elsewhere for $50 and not wait 2 hours for a “maybe positive”. Don’t bring your puppy here!!! The staff were nice, but service was awful. Their practice seems questionable, just take them somewhere else. Please listen to the negative reviews, don’t be like me and be $720 short. Thank you!

Charged me 300 dollars to look at my dogs paw infection and they gave him antibiotics. When the infection didn't clear and I needed more meds for him they refused without seeing him again for another 300. The pills cost .20 cents each! Total scam and I wouldn't recommend any take their animals here. They also gave him the wrong cone size and he could still reach his paw. What did I pay for then?!? Terrible service!

Watch out for these jokers as there isn’t much about this place that is urgent. We waited outside, away from our animal, for two hours before they finally came out to secure payment for treatment and overnight care. Our animal was dead before we got home. We wish we could have been with our animal during those last two hours instead of being locked out of the process. I was denied the opportunity to see my animal one last time the next morning. I was told to try back later and maybe they could arrange a visit. No compassion. You’d likely be better off taking your animal home and hoping for the best or at least being able to say good bye. Update: We we’re finally allowed to see our animal after a little run around.

My dog started haven seizures so I took her to this clinic thinking I was going to get her help. But I only got a big bill that I couldn't afford. An brang her back home with no treatment . I'm out 250.00 an she's still has to suffer cause I couldn't afford anymore for her.what does a person do. I've called around an they all just want money. You I dont give these people any stars. There compassion is fake. 140.00 to take a good look at her. When I asked them why was she walking into things an not able to stand very long without falling..They couldn't say but did say 1 thing that she was in a kennel. So once they knew I couldn't afford that's what they did put her in a kennel WOW!!!!!IM HURT ANGRY BUT MOST DISAPPOINTED In Animal care that they provided for my family dog Browny 13 years I love you BROWNIE.

Our dog has been treated at Pets Emergency Hospital two times. Dr. Claire Tovrea has been our vet. She has done a great job. Not only has her treatment of our dog been phenomenal, her communication with us regarding the dog we love was great and she clearly loves the animals. I would highly recommend her and Pets Emergency Hospital to anyone who loves their pet.

Dr. Romero was so kind, and the rest of the staff was very helpful. They were willing to work with what I could and couldn't afford, and they were very attentive all day. They sent a sympathy card after we had to put my cat down, and that little act of kindness meant a lot.

I had a new puppy that was lethargic and not eating the food that was sent home. Overall they tried to scare me into thinking my puppy would die within min if I didn’t approve their inpatient treatment. They tried to scam me out of 2-4 grand, when at the end, a little sugar is all he needed…. But they had me and my boys in tears. The point is, they didn’t test him for the most obvious, cheapest problem of a sugar deficiency… they wanted to quarantine, give IV, and treat for parvo even though he had all his shots and was negative. Here’s the chain of events so you can be aware, because I know it’s the only place open on Sunday. 1. They wanted to test for parvo because he hadn’t had all its shots 2. I showed him that he had all 3 shots they claimed he didn’t 3. They demanded a parvo test anyways for an additional 80. 4. Parvo was negative 5. They said he could still have parvo because of the way puppies were. 6. They wanted to take him in patient for 2-4 GRAND because he was so sick, and I needed to make an immediate decision or he could die. 7. I told them I wanted to call the place I got him at the previous day to see how they wanted to handle it… 15 min wait, but they were causing panic saying he would die. 8. The seller said to bring him back 9. As I was leaving, they said they treated him for hypoglycemia at no charge 10. By the time I got the the seller, the puppy was already making a recovery from the “treatment” they gave him - find out later it was just corn syrup a small amount put in his mouth. 11. The seller showed me different foods and in 30 min he was completely fine.

This place is great! Everyone we worked with there were so helpful and kind. We took our boy Dex there after a squirrel incident, and they took great care of him. Their pricing was extremely fair as well. Hopefully we don't have another squirrel incident (or any emergency), but if we do, this is where we will go!

I had to take my fur baby here VERY early one Saturday morning. I knew although I was bringing her there I would not be bringing her home with me. The entire staff here are truly amazing! They actually care. It's not just another animal or just a dog. These people have compassion and their hearts are so full you can feel it overflowing to you and your pet. I called about 0330 asking them for advice and what they could do as we had never been there before. The person answering was very empathetic and explained a bit more about their processes. Shortly after that call, I made the decision to bring my Lil Ms. Ginny in to them. The check in process was simple and quick, they took her in the back to get her ready and brought her back to me in no time. The vet who helped her across the Rainbow Bridge was compassionate, understanding, and was very adept. Thank you for making this painful moment so filled with compassion and heart. I really wish they took clients for regular appointments as well as emergency visits.

I went here for my dog at 4am. They tried to upsell me to death and tried to give her anti nausea medicine, when I asked for the cost and said it was too much ($50, the anti nausea medicine better be made of gold). They then revealed that there is a cheaper option. WOW! Once again, upsell. These are not warm hearted vets, these are business men. And yes. I have been there. I am in their records.

These guys are fantastic, I work in the veterinary field and I would not hesitate to bring my pets here again in case of an emergency. They answered all of my calls with urgency and compassion while my pet was there for a couple days. Dr. Romero was direct, honest, realistic, and kind which I really appreciated and she took the time to thoroughly answer all of my questions. Fantastic staff and client care all around.

This place saved my baby boys life. He is an 8 month old chocolate lab and swallowed something he shouldn’t have. We brought him in as soon as we noticed something was wrong, and it turned out he needed an emergency surgery or to be put down. It was a very emotional experience since our dogs are our children, but I couldn’t be any happier with the care that he received. They were very informative to us and broke down the cost for everything which made it easy to understand. They were very knowledgeable and got him in for surgery that same evening. He was severely dehydrated from vomiting so much (he couldn’t hold anything down nor would he eat) He needed 2 feet of his intestines removed which was very scary, however, they did an amazing job on it and I’m so beyond happy I trusted them with my baby. They saved his life and I will forever be grateful! The staff seemed very genuine and caring for my pup. I called every few hours to ask how he was doing and they always kept me updated and informed and had answers for me right away. Thank you so much for saving my baby boy!

Over the course of 24 hours, I had the unfortunate experience of my cat having trouble urinating and ended up taking him in to the ER twice. Through 3 shift changes, all 3 vets I spoke with were knowledgeable and comforting, even at 1am. They took care of him and did what they needed to do, always asking permission before it was done and worked on options that could be affordable. When he needed immediate surgery the next day to have bladder stones removed, they gave me several options of more affordable surgery clinics (I ended up going to Animal Works, who were also amazing.) They loaned me a crate and we were able to transport him with the catheter in. He is now recovering beautifully and napping on my leg. Thank you so much for all of your help and guidance while I was tired and stressed!!!!

While on vacation my dog had some neck pain come up. They worked us in quickly and everyone I spoke to on the phone was so nice and helpful. I'm very grateful for this practice because I now have a happy dog and we can continue our trip without pain! Thank you for treating her so quickly!

My dog broke his toe nail off at the paw tonight, I called and they were able to get my dog in a timely manner, they did a through exam of him and called with treatment option with in moments of his exam. Gave cost and were able to resolve the issue quickly. The front desk staff was very nice along with the dr. I was greatful for there help and politeness. Cost was reasonable as well.

I was told to rush my dog there after he starting vomiting blood (this is a young healthy 2 year old Lab). After paying them nearly $900 up front I was told that someone would call me in 2 hours. I didn't get a phone call, no updates and when I did talk to the front desk I was told they had numerous critical cases which apparently meant that my dog wasn't? The tone was condescending and I hope the front desk person finds a new career because she is no good at the one she has. I began to realize I was being lied to so I went to see for myself the extent of the emergencies and I was envisioning cars and people anxiously waiting for their severely injured pets. No one was there - not even staff. I finally get a call (6 hours in...) from the Doctor, Lindsey Dunn, DVM, who said my dog was exhibiting hostility and they would NOT be able to rehydrate him (what did all that money pay for?) and would I please come in and get him. I never saw her I don't think she was in the building. I only saw two people in the building at 11 p.m. one was the front desk person. I did get a report filled with typos and no test results - no breakdown of what the $900 paid for I was actually told part of estimate was for rehydration. Surprise, I didn't get a credit for them NOT doing their job. I am so disgusted and utterly disappointed that in a City filled with amazing Veterinarians I got them. PLEASE DO NOT take you pets here.
