This place has done a 180. Its clean and redone. Very nice man that helped us look at a dog for adoption.

@ Lexie Lehman: I am sorry for your experience. Our shelter does have our animals vet checked and any animal ever needing vet assistance has gotten it. You can contact our vet to even confirm if you wish. Now i am not able to speak on the actions of others but i am sorry for your interactions with our Facebook. We are working on changing some things over at this time. Please forgive anything said as I am sure it was the heat of the moment. Any questions or concerns please contact our manager. His number is listed on our website. Thank you.

If I could give 0 stars I would.‼️‼️‼️So Cali(our first cat from here, got her last September) was diagnosed with ring worm last Friday, vet said Viper(second cat from here, got him in May)probably had it while he was at the shelter (doesn’t surprise me since conditions aren’t the greatest) and must have gotten through it before we adopted him. Took him in yesterday and turns out he still had traces of it on him but she plucked the two hairs that had it and is now ring worm “free”. I decided to message puppyland to let them know..person running the Facebook page said that they are aware of the ring worm and are currently treating the other cats/kittens. They claim they do a full vet check up but if they actually did a FULL check up, they would have found ring worm in those kittens. Not once did we receive a phone call letting us know that he might have had ring worm. I told them that for the future they really should make their customers aware of these issues even if it doesn’t have affect on the cat. That’s just what good businesses do. I told them that I had contracted the ring worm as well. They eventually go on to tell me that I am banned from stepping foot on their property and even threatened to call the cops. This all may seem one sided but I have screenshots to prove all the messages and I was not rude at all. I did not ask for money back, I was simply letting them know about our situation and that they should treat their other animals. I posted this on social media, and got a lot of comments saying that they are surprised this place isn’t shut down yet. One person told me the cats they got there came with fleas! Unfortunately the local police have bigger problems to deal with so that’s why I’m leaving this review ????????‍♀️ Adopt here at your own risk! PS the cat building smells HORRIBLE! Hope this helped!

I recently adopted a cat from Puppyland. He is the sweetest boy. He is healthy and well cared for. The enclosures are very spacious and very clean. I was a humane officer for 10 years, certified by the State and found no issues. Ring worm is very common among animals and humans and some symptoms do not show for up to 14 days, so the woman posting nasty comments is completely wrong. All animals receive vet care and vaccinations. If you question the care of Puppyland go in and see it for yourself. Don’t rely on comments from people who you don’t know. Also go to a big humane society and you will find cats in small boxes. Puppyland has enclosures where the cats can stretch their legs and move around.

Very much better than before. Cleaner, smells better. Animals are in much better health and shape. More organized. Very friendly and helpful people. It's night and day with these new owners. Great job.

the lady was rude. looks more like a puppy mill than a humaine society.

Amazing the changes under their new manager Lorn. The place is always clean when I go and none of the animals look sick, big difference from a while ago!

I have gotten some really nice dogs and a few cats over the years really nice people. There's a young volunteer named Rachel she's really good with the animals. If you have time to spare volunteer there they can always use the help or if you have some spare change they can always use the donations.

My only disappointing critique is the lack of meeting area. It'd be nice to have a place where you could sit and interact with the dog indoors, but all area in the 2 current buildings is kennels and cages. I like the people now. They actually re-home all the animals coming in and have a good rotation. I enjoy volunteering here!

I volunteer at puppyland humane society. All the cats are so friendly. Some even let you pet their belly. The only time they don't seek attention is when they are sleeping the day away. As for the dogs, they're very energetic and so happy to see everyone in the morning. They as well, just want attention and love. They all get very excited when they know they're going on a walk. Come check us out! Maybe you will meet your purrfect match!!!

The best little dog sheltter ever. Dogs are so sweet especially the ones that live there and walk around.they have cats too! witch i love but my mom hates. They allow you to take dogs for walks around the area if you ask and they are such nice people in general. I love how kids can volunteer.
