Absolutely wonderful individuals. They Truly care and love for the animals that come in and stay there. We went in with high expectations they had endless Hope and information for us to find the perfect animal that will fit in our home. We fell in love with rusty, and and they allowed us allowed us to test him out in our home even though nobody knew if he was going to fit or not. They allowed us to Foster to adopt and and gave us materials that we needed . They are they are genuinely sweet people that care for the animals and for the people that are taking their animals.

The staff are very helpful and really nice. They have plenty of animals for adoption that just need love. They have puppies and kittens to senior cats and dogs. They also have so so social kittens who need time to adjust to their new families and working cats for barns or rodent control. We adopted 3 so so social kitties and we love them to pieces.

My husband went the Watertown Humane society to have a cat pick us and she did. We have a beautiful grey kitty that is very loving and very well behaved. She was a terrific fit for household. We love dearly and we have only had for a couple of weeks.

I did not go inside the shelter but I did use the fix is in spay and neuter clinic. This was so well organized and very safe. I have 2 kittens spayed and 1 neutered. Everything went very well I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone.

LOVE this shelter. Everyone here is very friendly and nice. It's a small shelter, but has a good variety of adorable adoptable fur friends. You can foster an animal first before adopting, which is nice if you're not sure. You also would be helping the animals while they are waiting for their forever home, if the pet is not what your looking for.

The staff at the Watertown Humane Society are exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable. They were wonderful to work with when we fostered two Chihuahuas that we ended up adopting. The adoption process is easy and any questions that I had were quickly answered with compassion. We would highly recommend adopting (and volunteering!) with this shelter!

Great experience. They called on our application quickly, were very helpful in making sure the pup we adopted was a good fit, gave great recommendations on supplies and getting her adjusted in our home.

Can't reccomend this facility, the cats are over crowded, the dogs are in filthy conditions, staff is snobby, manager is scatterbrained and rude. With all the other nicer, better managed Humane Societies out there I would not waste my time at this location. The Jefferson Humane society is nicer, calmer, more organized, more friendly/helpful staff. and is just a 25 min drive south just saying...

Staff is very friendly and helpful. We are always welcomed even to just come play with the cats and give the dogs treat.

I read the reviews before going to this shelter and what I can say about the negative reviews is this: If this shelter is filthy then you haven’t ever seen an overcrowded kill shelter in the South.......This facility was clean and not the chaotic place that I am used to. My partner, who had never been to an animal shelter, was pleasantly surprised at how nice the facility was.......The staff was friendly, competent, honest and extremely helpful. We spent over an hour there interviewing pups. We took home an amazing puppy that was exactly opposite what I said I wanted. By the way, many of the dogs they have are actually from overcrowded kill shelters in the South. Do yourself and the shelter a favor. Adopt, donate, volunteer. It’s a great place to adopt from.

I got the best dog ever here. They were so accomodating to work with. My dog Ava had a surgery so she couldn't be released until her stitches came out, so they allowed me to foster her initially, then adopt her once she was cleared by the vet. Don't under estimate getting a mature dog, that has had pups and sits in the back of the cage quietly while the rest of the dogs erupt barking.

Stayed open late for them to take in a hurt cat we found, spent time with us, answered questions, let us see the other animals. Thank you

Lost my dog to old age recently and donated all the dog stuff I had collected over the years. They gladly took it all, and thanked me for my donation. Even helped me unload it all.
