Door County Veterinary Hospital Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin

I just brought our new Aussie puppy Harry to the clinic because he was having some significant GI problems. We were not yet a client but they made room in their schedule to see him the next day. Everyone at the clinic was fabulous. Dr. Kobilca and and his tech and put our dog at ease (except for the little yelp when he got his shot) and took the time to thoroughly examine him and discuss all the potential issues. He prescribed medications and we had a good discussion about diet recommendations. He even sent me home with some special canned dog food to help his recovery. I’m happy to report that 24 hours later the little dude is feeling much better and Harry has his new doctor!

Price did not match the quote at all. I was quoted under $450, and total bill was $700. Great, friendly service, and Dr. Jordan is amazing!

Really the best vet in Door County, in my opinion. They have state of the art diagnostic equipment as well to avoid that annoying trip to Green Bay. Unfortunately, they are very popular so wait times for appointments can be an issue.

If I could give this vet a ZERO star I would! My cat was in serious distress and I called to make an appointment as a new client. Was told the veterinarian would not see my pet unless previous history information from our former vet was sent to them. I told them I could immediately bring with me all of the records I have on hand which included print outs from my former vet (located in another state), but, was told this would not be sufficient and I had to have vet records sent directly from my former vet to the Door County Veterinary Hospital. This lack of caring for an animal's welfare is beyond the pale and I wouldn't risk putting my animal's health into the hands of these people for anything in the world. I will tell every pet owner I know NOT to use this vet and will report this incident to the Wisconsin state veterinary board.

I have been taking my pets (2 cats, 1 dog) here for a few years and could not be any more pleased with the care they have provided. This team takes the time to get to know you and your pet personally. If your pet is being treated for something, expect them to call you to check on your pet...they care. I’ve had routine checkups done here, amputation for a pet with cancer (after it was misdiagnosed at a different vet), treatments for a pet with Ehrlichia, among other things, and I’m so glad I had this team to provide all of that care for my pets.

This is the place for your pet's care.Always able to get in when necessary ...and the Doctors and staff are animal lovers for sure.So glad we have them for our furry boys!

My first visit with a an 11 year old border collie that I have to muzzle and then can not go in with her (curbside service only right now) was fast and very efficient. I felt they understood that both the dog and I had high anxiety about how the experience could go and they did an exceptional job at helping to aleviate that with both of us. LOL!

Fit our accidentally injured dog into their regular treatment schedule when we had a dire need this summer. Our dog had suffered a severe injury and the course of treatment was by no means certain. The whole staff chipped in and got our dog ready to roll home with us in 3 weeks. Thanks again to the whole staff

The staff was wonderful and Dr. Kerley was amazing. We were passing through Door County, and they worked with us to give us an appointment for our Lily. Even though we were not regular customers, they took all the time to look at Lily and addressed all of our concerns. I wish Dr. Kerley could be our permanent Veterinarian.

Had appt and our cat had to get out down. The music was loud and vet and her helper were so impersonal. Week later picked up the remains and once again impersonal. When the sturgeon Bay clinic heard our cat passed away they sent us a card and purchased us a tree that was planted in his name. Go to Animal clinic of sturgeon Bay. They actually care and it's more personal which is appreciated at a time of your pets end of life needs.

After one visit I am very impressed by this excellent, knowledgeable staff. They listened carefully to my concerns and made a plan for my pet with me. I will definitely be staying with them and would highly recommend them.

We called on a Friday afternoon after our dog decided to play with a porcupine. They snuck us into their schedule with Dr Jordan. He was fabulous. Gave us a full explanation of everything and was very personable. Reasonable fees, all around excellent experience!!!

The vet was treating my dog for a UTI and glandular issues. I left a voicemail regarding my dog having seizure like activity on 12-21-18 at 8:55 am, called again an hour later and they could see her at 1 pm. I said that was not acceptable, and would take her elsewhere.

Seem to really care about the critters, not just the money

There are great very helpful

-Knowledgable and good communicators- It really helps when a pet is uncomfortable to know s/he is in good clinical hands, and, that while your pet is getting care, you're getting the information you need. I learned how to take better care of my dogs ears during our visit, and that's a good thing for both of us!

First visit . Excellent staff and facilities. They will definitely be my vet of choice when in DC .
