Two weeks ago, our senior cat came in for a checkup. The recommendation was to get an xray for a mouth irritation. I made an appointment yesterday for him to get the xray ASAP, as our cat doesnt want to eat. I was told to withhold food for today's Xray, as sedation would probably be necessary. When my husband brought our cat today, he was told that todays appointment was for bloodwork only. Apparently the xray is done along with a $500 dental procedure. Our cat has no teeth; why put him at risk for a dental he may not need? DISGUSTED that the person I booked with either didn't know the protocol or just wanted to juice us for extra charges. On the same note, noticed that patient's medical records not updated since last appointment. I am DISAPPOINTED that our elderly cat unnecessarily had to endure missing a meal AND the stress of transportation for this appointment... Update 10/21/21: Thank you so much to Samantha, clinic manager, for reaching out. My husband & I now understand that there were some miscommunications, due a new person in the office. Fortunately, this is a mentoring opportunity and no harm done. Appreciate the clarification, and feel more informed about Toby's dental procedure this week.

I called asking for help and for them to give any help to my animal they want me to surrender him and put up for adoption what makes no sence is he has a home why put him in a cage for you to help such a disgrace of a place

I just took my kitten here for the first time because he had a bad cough and they were extremely efficient and kind. Everyone was nice and was complimenting my cat and it made me feel a lot better after previously having a bad vet experience, and I’m sure my kitten feels the same. Prices are reasonable and they gave me a bunch of pamphlets on anything I could need, a book on how to take care of cats, a comb, a topical solution, and gave my boy a mouse toy all for free:) I really recommend this vet.

I like them, esp Dr Hinz, whom we've been seeing for about 15 years now. The office staff is very friendly. The building is welcoming and always very clean. They are efficient and on time. Prescriptions are filled quickly. I guess the proof is in the pudding, both of our cats have lived very long lifespans, one of them with a heart condition still lived to a very old age and now our senior cat with a thyroid condition is also doing very well.

Wonderful clinic for my pup! The doctors spend so much time with me explaining my dog’s health conditions and treatment options. They are so patient and thorough and do not over prescribe or push for unnecessary treatments. While no dog loves going to the vet, my dog actually doesn’t mind this clinic! The staff carry her around and give her treats. She is always happy to see the friendly staff.

Dr. Joe Richter is amazing with our Golden, Ruby. They were triple booked and he still found time for our sick girl. His heart is definitely with the animals, and he explains things so well. Very nice, empathetic staff as well. I've been given more than one hug during rough patches. Highly recommend.

VCA Saukville made it easy to make an appointment, and when I arrived, the staff was welcoming and helpful. Dr. Hinz provided my rescue kitty with a great exam.

I recently brought in my fur-child to have a series of tests, an x-ray, and an overall check-up completed -- and I'm extremely pleased with my experience. In the first phone call I had with the office, I immediately picked up on how helpful, friendly, organized, and communicative everyone seemed. I actually traveled from Chicago to visit with Dr. Rivera because I kept running into vets that I felt like were more focused on making money than delivering quality service. Inevitably, I ended up stuck in traffic the day of my appointment. When I noticed I wouldn't make it on time, the office and Dr. Rivera were understanding and accommodating, and found a way to still squeeze me in that day. The office itself is clean and updated, and I think they even have "cat" and "dog" specific examination rooms? I only say that because I brought in my cat and noticed everything in the room seemed to be cat-focused. They even had a Feliway plug-in in the room. Us crazy cat people appreciate that since we're often the minority in pet spaces. Lol. I was also pleasantly surprised at the bill amount, too. Maybe that's because I was planning for the worst since I knew we were having so many tests done? Either way, I feel like I paid a reasonable price for high-quality. Everyone was thorough and patient, and I left feeling like this is a place I could really trust with my pet concerns. I'd absolutely visit this place again. I'm very pleased with my experience from start to finish.

Amazing animal hospital. Beyond compassionate, caring, kind, and full of love. Despite not being a patient, they treated us like they were part of our family. They were so kind to my children. I couldn't ask for a better vet during this super difficult time. RIP Bubs ????
