Very helpful staff. My cat doesn't mind having to see this vet and is always calm and good natured when leaving the clinic after any exams or procedures. This business takes Covid and social distancing seriously for both your and your pet's sake. I highly recommend this veterinary clinic!!!

Was calling to make an appointment but wanted to ask a question first. Receptionist refused to even listen to the question and said she wouldn’t answer anything without seeing the dog first. I understand they can’t answer big questions without seeing the dog or give advice but I was ultimately asking to see if they could help and make the appointment. If she had listened and not argued with me they would have had a new client but I guess not. I have also gone to them in the past and they passed over my dogs brain tumor as kennel cough. How this happened I have absolutely no idea. They’re good for standard things but when there is a problem they are the worst vet you could go to.

Friendly over the phone and takes time to listen to your concerns and questions. Provided me with helpful suggestions and calmed fist time pet owners nerves untill the appointment...

Great staff and the doc is one of the best around. She's kept my doodle going strong for over ten years now despite his unfortunate autoimmune problems from a tic bite when he was young. We're very thankful for this place and the people that work there.

Just called to reschedule an appointment because my cat won't go in his carrier and I was having trouble trying to do it alone and this receptionist just does the loudest sigh I've ever heard and doesn't say anything for a minute. I had to say "hello?" For her to even respond to me. Then she tells me in the rudest voice that she can't get me in for another MONTH. Whoever that receptionist is made me want to cancel the appointment all together and find somewhere with nicer people. Completely unprofessional.

I have used this vet for about 10 years and have always been very happy with their care of my dog, cats, and even my ferret. But, this time because my dogs nails were a bit overgrown they accused us of borderline neglect. That was extreme and unwarranted. A friendly reminder would have sufficed.

My cat was having trouble throwing up something and he was struggling to breathe from it. I explained to the receptionist he was choking and asked if they could see him. She said no, they’re booked. She recommended vet clinics that were 15+ minutes away, I asked if there were any closer, she started listing off a few more. I asked what is something we can do till we get him somewhere she replied “okay, sounds good, bye” and I tried yelling for her attention to not hang up but she hung up right after saying bye. My cat is okay now, but the receptionist here disgusts me. Don’t have this job if you can’t assist in stressful situations.

My pup had a wart on her head. Other local vets had quoted $750 to $1200 to run bloodwork before completely sedating her. When it was able to be done under local anesthetic for $85. I truly appreciate the skill, knowledge and professionalism of this clinic!

Please think carefully before taking your pet here. I really hate leaving negative reviews, but I'm writing this because people need to know. I don't want any one else's pet to die due to lack of adequate care experienced here, and if I can help one pet/person it's worth it. I took my cat here because it was very close, and also happened to be reasonably priced. This had always been my cat's vet, for many years. Dr. Dittmar and the staff is friendly and humorous, but those are the only positive things I can say. My 9 year old cat passed away unexpectedly after being seen by the vet only 8 days prior. She had also been seen a month before that. 9 isn't old for a cat. In neither appointment did Dr. Dittmar seem to be concerned that my cat may be experiencing something life threatening, so neither was I. I trusted her. My cat had been acting normal the week prior to her sudden unexpected passing. I believe something serious was overlooked. The vet never recommended blood work of any kind for my cat. I feel as though the exams are rushed and not thorough. The vet also gives injections without informing what they are, or any possible side effects, beforehand. My cat received Depo-Medrol and Convenia injections at her last visit. If you google Convenia, you will also find many negative experiences. Convenia is a long-lasting antibiotic injection, which can not be stopped (unlike oral medication) if your pet has an adverse reaction to it, something I wish I knew before it was administered to my cat. I'm not the only one with a terrible experience. Do some googling and you will find out about multiple cases where she was brought against the veterinary examining board. I wish I knew about that before taking my cat here. I would highly, highly suggest avoiding this place.

I have really come to like this vet. The staff is usually very friendly and considerate. However, there is one woman who works there who has given us unnecessary attitude. Such as this morning when we dropped our dog off to get his kidneys checked out, and we happened to think he was going to be needing his rabies shot. But we had only just thought of it after being concerned with his other health issues for a whole weekend leading up to the appointment, and when we dropped him off we asked about it. The woman who grabbed him rolled her eyes and made a snide, passive aggressive comment before putting on her fake customer service smile (I've worked customer service for 15 years, I know it when I see it) and telling me 'of course we can do that' and rushing away with my dog before I could say anything. I get it was early in the morning, and it may have been a slight inconvenience to tack that onto his chart... but I don't HAVE to bring my dog here. I LIKE to bring my dog here. Such boorish behavior is unbecoming of staff who are supposed to cherish clients and their business.

Ann Marie is trustworthy, lighthearted, down to earth and without a doubt an animal lover. She and her dedicated and compassionate staff have taken excellent care of my dogs for many years. Their pricing is affordable, as well.

A friend brought their pup in to be spayed. Resulted in a trip to the emergency vet for internal bleeding. This vet should find a different profession!!

Absolutely amazing! Dr. Dittmar just loves animals and treats yours as if they are hers. We never feel like a number here, it's always personal. The staff are the same way. They make you feel comfortable and answer all questions so you thoroughly understand. I and now my children will continue to bring our pets here until she retires.

Dr Dittmar and her office staff are the BEST! Dr Dittmar takes the time to exam your pet. She listens to your concerns about your pet. She doesnt rush you and your pet out of the appt., even when the clinic is super busy. We appreciate her as our vet so much, we drive from Jackson to Port just to bring our pet to her.

I've been going to Dr. Dittmar for all of my fur babies and even though I don't live in Port Washington anymore, I still will make the trip from Jackson to see her. Dr. Dittmar and her staff ensure your pet is getting the best care possible all while being incredibly affordable. Thank you for doing what you do, Oliver and I appreciate all of you!

They take no responsibility, and lack any compassion. It is a business transaction here. But, it is pretty cheap if that is what you are looking for.
