Oakview is unlike any other vet I've ever experienced. When our pup, Raisin, began to not feel well, they managed to get him in the same day I called. When I brought him in, they took their time to make sure he was never fearful. They gave him cheeze wiz during his temperature taking, they gave him cuddles, and they never rushed him. They Dr. Larissa walked me though Raisin's entire X-rays - not just the areas that we were concerned about, but she made sure I understood the entirety of his x-ray. They genuinely cared about Raisin. Dale, a tech, was also AMAZING. Honestly I think Raisin would have stayed all day getting labwork done if it meant he got to hang out with Dale. When administering an IV, Dale talked me through what he was doing and even had me feel Raisin at the injection site so I knew not to be startled later in the day if there was a bump. Truly, we will never take our pets anywhere else. At Oakview, they treat you and your pets like family.

I consider myself so fortunate to have found this vet. I have exotics and have been thrilled with the care received by the team at Oakview. They are responsive to questions, take care of my b-ratties and keep me updated on their progress when they're in their care. If you're looking for a great vet office with an amazing team all around, Oakview is your place.

This is my favorite vet ever. My beloved dog, Wilbur, was diagnosed with lymphoma and was given a year to live by UW-Madison Veterinary Clinic. Oakview was closer to home and was able to distribute his chemotherapy for four months until he was in remission, and then they put him to sleep for us after he came out of remission six months later. Every single person here was so great and gracious with us and our situation. They even sent us a bunch of personalized gifts in the mail once Wilbur reached remission, including a necklace with his name engraved on it, and I still have them all. When they brought his ashes out to my car window because I had a newborn baby in the car, they cried with me. I would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Hankison, who was by our side the entire journey. I also recommended this vet to a friend, and she has switched to them, because they were so great to her. Thank you for your empathy and all you do. I don't know how you do it. See you at the rainbow bridge, Wilbur.

Hands down, ONLY place to take your feline friends for their medical care. Amazing staff who are reassuring, kind, respectful, and constantly professional while still maintaining a sense of humor. Great location and fantastic emergency response for immediate care needs.

DO NOT ATTEND THIS CLINIC THEY ARE A SCAM I brought my pet here for worms I had already identified and just needed confirmed, paid a hefty deposit and was told there shouldn’t be any extra charges besides medication if needed. The appointment took about 15 minutes and what I had already known was confirmed. I was then told I owned an extra $86 totaling in about $160 for them to not only make me take a picture of the meds to order myself, but they explained the extra was to examine the stool sample. It was extremely shocking as at most accredited vet clinics, examining stool especially for a cat, has never been more that $15-$20. After calling back to ask for an itemized invoice and to explain how explain it cost over $70 to check stool, we were met with the most disrespectful tone. Not only that, but they can’t even keep their story straight. I just called now to test what price they’ll say for stool sample, today they decided it’s $60, because they “have to take out to a lab”. Mind you I witnessed with my own eyes that they do it in the clinic. I was physically there for 15 minutes. Come up with a better cover story for the scams YOU ARE running on people.

The cost of this vet was the same as my last, but I do think the quality is better. I worry a lot about my rabbit and they took every measure to ensure me that he was healthy, which I appreciate as many vets do not make rabbit health a priority. They also gave me extra tips on how to improve his health despite him being healthy as is, on top of trimming his nails and providing resources to help ease my nerves. On top of it all they were all extremely professional while providing a personalized and friendly experience for me and my bunny. My roommate also takes her dog here and has had equally good experiences. If you're looking for a top vet for your pet this is the place to go.

Ok the 3 stars are given because they did squeeze us in on a holiday weekend. The care was reasonably competent and the report was exceptionally well done. That being said, I felt as if we were a fundraiser for them. Test after test to come to a conclusion that our 18 month old female dog had an upset stomach. $900 bill and a couple of prescriptions for nausea, a probiotic and some ear drops for an ear infection. I believe it was way over priced and I believe a couple tests were unnecessary, but they take advantage of the fact that you truly care about your pet and are nervous something is wrong with them. I’ll be going back to Mobile Vet (primary vet anyways) who has always been fair, and will let you know if a test is necessary or not. I’ve forgotten how good they are there because it’s been so long since I’ve been anywhere else. But now I’ve been reminded.

I brought in my 11 month old beloved puppy as a new patient with an immediate health issue and they were able to fit her in the same day. Even though they were running behind, Dr Raykowski and the vet tech gave her a thorough exam and collected specimens for microscopy and prescribed meds with a clear explanation of what they were for. I also received a detailed report after the appt which was so great and unexpected! It is clear that the care the staff at Oakview provide is top notch and we will be switching to this provider going forward. Thank you!

Our vet. and support staff were excellent and were great with our two Chi's. "AJ" behaved better with Dale and the Dr. than she does for us trying to trim nails. An education for me. Thanks.

Outstanding care for our dog when we had an emergency a few years ago, while visiting family. Thank you so much for welcoming us during our time of need when no one else had an opening, and for giving our dog the best quality care we could ask for.

Amazing staff and vets! My dog was new to this clinic and instead of forcing him to do what they needed him to do they just let him be and gave us some meds to help him next time!

My small dog (6 pounds) is 14 years old. He was scheduled for a dental cleaning and inevitable extractions. We were concerned because of his age and size. (I'm an Anesthesiologist, so I know the risks). Of all the dental cleanings he has had, this was the VERY BEST. He was completely back normal the very next day and is eating kibble on Day 2. We have had two vets at Oakview and the quality of their care is excellent. They are nice too. They are busy though, so plan in advance. Also the technical staff seem to be a cut above in training and education. They know their business. We are lucky to have such competent providers in Plover/Stevens Point.

Dr Larisa and all the staff go above and beyond in Veterinary care. Their team shows compassion towards the animals and to the owners. My dog had a very large mass on both sides of her jaw. Our vet was not able to get Bear in for 3 weeks and the mass continued to grow. A friend of mine recommended Oakview Veterinary clinic to me and I called on Monday and got Bear into the office 2 days later even though she was a new patient. When I arrived to what I thought was the correct clinic,Gps had taken me to another clinic by mistake and I was lost. I soon called the office and Pat the receptionist stayed on the line with me and gave me directions unti I arrived. The check in process is very smooth and you can have a zoom visit to watch everything during the visit. Dr Larissa was very thorough and explained everything to me and answered all my questions. As we anxiously awaited for the results to come back from Bears blood work and biopsy the staff and Dr Larissa messaged us to see how Bear was doing with meds and if they were helping, the staff answered any questions we had even if the questions were repeated. Dr Larisaa called with the results and brought us news that Bear had an infection nit no cancer was found. Doctor Larissa even went out of her way to find us the best price for the prescription to help us save money. We are so grateful for Oakview and will be changing all of our animals to this clinic. Thank you Dr Larissa and all the staff for going above and beyond for our fur barbies Thank you Jen Baranczyk
