We are so happy we found New Berlin Animal Hospital to care for our fur babies! Everyone there is so awesome! They are friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Every experience we’ve had with them, they’ve gone above and beyond to help us. Fantastic people all around! We consider ourselves lucky to have found such an amazing team to be able to rely on for our family.

My dog. Autumn was very sick, didn't know what was wrong other than she had the diarrhea from Thanksgiving on. When we went to the vet on Monday, Dr. Goertz, was amazing, she knew Autumn didn't feel well at all so instead of trying to lift her onto the table she left Autumn on the floor for her comfort level and did the whole exam and all tests she needed to at that level. Who does that? It was amazing!!! My dog is a rescue to begin with, she is very skiddish, she has been going to New Berlin Animal Hospital since I rescued her but this treatment was above and beyond what was due any Animal. Then I find out Autumn has to have IV fluids, well I'm ready to have a nervous breakdown, but once again while they took Autumn out to do that. Dr.Goertz kept me calm talking about the prescriptions they were going to give Autumn and if that didn't help her what our next steps would be. Now she could've ordered a bunch of blood tests and X-rays that were the next steps and would have cost me an arm and leg, but NO, she wanted to take things slow- one step at a time and see how she does with the medication first. This is what I love most about all the doctors at New Berlin Animal Hospital, they very clearly discuss with you what is going on with your Animal, the steps needed to take to help them so you aren't shocked or unaware. THANK YOU SO MUCH NEW BERLIN ANIMAL HOSPITAL FOR TAKING SUCH GOOD CARE OF AUTUMN SINCE I BROUGHT HER TO YOU IN AUGUST OF 2016. LOVE ALL OF YOU SO MUCH!!!!! PATTI AND AUTUMN

I needed my pup to be seen on an emergency basis and got a same day appointment. I called first thing and they offered me a time slot. The techs and doc were thorough and set my mind at ease. My pup loves going there. She is never stressed about it!

When I got my first puppy back in 1978, I had received a free physical for her somewhere in Waukesha County and I picked New Berlin Animal Hospital. This Vet clinic was not near my home but I was so impressed by the care she received, the caring and kindness from the staff, that I can honestly say that I have never left them over the years. I have trusted all 4 of my pups in their care. This last visit was for a dental cleaning. I was thoroughly informed of the procedure, possible complications and care of my pooch when she got home. Checking her in was a breeze, they kept me informed of how she was doing immediately after the procedure and again when she was ready to be picked up. And then I received a phone call from them after she was home to see how she was doing. I can not say enough about their kindness, caring , professionalism, knowledge, compassion. friendliness- from the front staff, to the vet technicians to the veterinarians. Thank you all for all you do!!!

Our lab is a member of our family so we wanted a veterinarian who would treat him as such. What I most appreciate is how kind Dr Matt and his staff are. Our lab is a big baby and they are so good about recognizing that. I’ve never felt rushed or felt like my concerns were invalid. Our dog STILL doesn’t like going to the vet…but I’m pretty sure he enjoys the attention and coddling while he’s there!

I love this vet clinic! Everyone is super nice, treats your pet as family. My dog is very skittish and they took great care of him while getting his exam and vaccinations. They listen to your concerns and offer suggestions. They are great to work with!

I must say that they were extremely helpful and informative of my new rescue dog. We were unaware of his vaccinations and what was needed. They were gentle and friendly! Gave reminders for his booster shots and were extremely gentle and loving! I’ll be taking our pet bird there next!

Had a poor experience in the past and decided to give them a second chance. Be aware for a a simple annual vet visit it will take an hour. Also booked with a specific doctor and they changed it without approval. Lastly staff isn’t helpful and doesn’t follow instructions. Per the vet assistant you have to say your request at least 4 or 5 times before they will honor it. We will be switching to a new vet that offers caring and compassionate service.

Don't waste your time. Canceled my dog's appointment and it was too much inconvenience to let us know. Showed up and said they could squeeze her in. Nobody showed up.

We have taken our dog here since we adopted him almost 9 years ago. There have been a few issues over the years, but nothing that ever made us want to change vets even when we moved from the area. Recently our dog hurt his hind leg. After a few days, we decided he needed to be examined as it wasn't getting better. I called, explained the situation, and sought an appointment as soon as possible with any of the vets. I was told that their FIRST available appointment was three weeks out. Concerned about his injury, I inquired if there was any way to fit him in or if they kept slots open for emergencies or more urgent visits like this. The response was that they were "really busy" and to call back each morning to see if anyone canceled. For numerous reasons, that approach was not going to work. There was no attempt to try to accommodate us or get him in sooner and no guarantee of any cancellations in the coming days. I explained that he really needed to be seen soon and that I didn't want to take him elsewhere or to the ER. Again, there was no real attempt to find a solution to get me in sooner. It was very much a take it or leave it approach. I called the local vet near my house and was able to get him in within a day. They could not have been more accommodating and wanting to help. That vet showed immediate concern for my dog's injury over the phone as well. Thankfully, he is OK and back running around. I can't fathom how a vet cannot have any slots available for urgent or emergent cases like this and I can't fathom that my vet that I have been loyal to for 9 years would essentially tell me-- and force me-- to go somewhere else with really no regard for my dog's injury. I don't see us driving the extra time to continue at this vet given this interaction If I took the first available appointment, I'd STILL be waiting to get him seen. I don't know if they have an agreement with the local ERs or if whoever was scheduling was new, but I am not sure that I can trust that this vet will be able to meet my dog's needs as he ages. I really felt that this vet did not care about my dog's injury or about trying to keep a long time customer. Again, we have had good experiences in general over the years, so it's a shame that this experience soured the relationship. I really hope they take a hard look at their scheduling practices and phone etiquette because I was really disappointed by what happened.

Do not use this place if you use 1800-petmeds as it is not "their policy" to simply call and confirm a prescription. Apparently they can only authorize you buying prescriptions directly from them, which I consider a racket.

All vets are smart, thoughtful, patient and caring. It is very easy to make appointments in advanced and even same or next day if needed. I’m so thankful they are there.

Unimpressed. Expensive, rude staff, over-booked (expect a long wait in the outdated waiting area, crammed in with lots of other pets), and the vets misdiagnosed my dog twice. Once by dismissing a cyst that eventually needed surgery, and another time by diagnosing a "significant heart murmur" that turned out to be a symptom of anxiety during the exam rather than a true condition. I won't be returning.

We have 4 pets, 3 Dogs, and 1 cat that go to NBAH for care. Dr. Michelle McDonough is the star of the clinic. She is caring, thoughtful, and great with her patients. If you are considering using this clinic I recommend asking for Dr. Michelle by name.

Great service, caring. Unscheduled appt as our dog was flavoring one paw suddenly. Did not force x-rays or other unessary services. Reasonable prices and very informative and knowledgeable.

My wife and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this vet clinic to anyone. Dr. Michelle is incredibly compassionate and has provided candid advice whenever we have had questions. This includes discussions regarding the quality of life for a young puppy that we recently had to put down. While most of the decisions made leading up to this final decision were handled through a specialist at WVRC, Dr. Michelle helped immensely in balancing when the treatments being suggested/pushed on us were worth the decrease in quality of life for our small pup. Throughout the process, she called multiple times unprompted asking if we needed anything or had questions. She really seems to care about her patients. Our other dog remains a patient at NB Animal Hospital and we have no plans on changing.
