My dog had rear leg surgery and this place and it's doctor saved her life and she was well taken care thank you and your wonderful staff for doing a amazing job

I had a dog many years ago that I adopted from Northwoods Animal hosp., and I always took him back there for his needs. I will continue to take the dog that I have there now because they have the experience and the knowhow to deal with all kinds of issues. I highly recommend NWAH.

I have been a customer of this practice for 30 years. Doctor Theuerkauf and Dr. Hayman and their staff have been wonderful to work with. I trust their judgement and treatment of all my golden retrievers over the years. Likewise I too have been treated with respect, care and concern regarding my pets. Recently I needed urgent care for my 12 + year old golden for what turned out to be a vestibular disease. We were worked in right away and treatment was spot on. Thank you Northwoods Animal Hospital!

To the Vet who helped my dog Stitch go to his final resting place. The care you showed during probably the hardest point in my life is appreciated. Asking me what was going on with him and giving me your advice based off of your years of experience just absolutely put me at ease. When you don’t have a fatal diagnosis like in my case there is definitely this doubt in the back of your mind as to if what you are doing is right or not. By just being there and asking the questions and taking the time, thank you sir from the bottom of my heart. I don’t know if you realize just how important that is to people in this horrible situation, or at least to me anyhow, you helped give me peace where I really thought there would be none to be found outside of not having to watch my best friend suffer further. For those of you who aren’t aware id like to just tell you that from experiences I’ve read and stories I’ve heard about this impossible process, they have a very quaint little room where this is done; softly lit, comfortable and cozy and not what my fear was of just a well lit sterile dr’s office type of room. It feels morbid in a way leaving a review of a euthanasia process but perhaps it may be helpful on some level for someone out there facing this terrible crisis. I felt very at peace and at ease after the process though the tears fell hard. Tonight I sit here absent of my best friend but felt compelled to share this review. Thank you to all the great people at Northwoods Animal Hospital for helping my family in an extremely difficult time.

Very Lovely and helpful people, Some kids came in my yard to take bikes and my dog bit one. Had it on cam, but I still needed to have my dog quarantine. They helped immediately!! Highly recommended!

Dr. Mark and his staff are awesome! They are so good with our dog, prompt with his appointments and very thorough. Dr Mark and his staff are the #1 in our book.

We always love taking our dogs to the Northwoods Animal Hospital and have used all three sites - Manitowish Waters, Eagle River, and Minocqua. The staff and vets are all excellent in taking care of our dogs and explaining things to us. Highly recommend.

Wonderful, kind staff; Love Doctor Dave. They are extremely accommodating to Urgent appointments and non primary patients. We have gotten prescriptions from them transferred from our regular vet in Milwaukee. I would highly recommend taking your fur-babies here

Absolutely over satisfied with the staff ,the facility and how comfortable they make you feel about the situation,I'm from the Windy City ????️ and there service made me feel more than at home. I was shocked when I received a call the next day asking how my puppy ( chico) was feeling. Most definitely A 12 on a 1-10 scale!!!

I was told to bring my dog there for after hr emergency care as my dog was suffering in the back of my vehicle no dr showed up then after sitting there for 45min they told me there's nothing we can do cause it was after 10pm ended up driving my suffering dog to wausau needles to say my baby died.

I’m from out of town and my elderly dog had a seizure. I was able to get into this vet immediately after explaining my situation (I called two other vets with no prevail). The dr. was amazing! He was very knowledgeable and had confirmed everything I had researched previous to my appointment. He was compassionate and followed up with me right away after I called the following day for lab results. I highly recommend this vet clinic. It couldn’t have gone any better.

Our bassett hound, Lucy, had some kind of terrible pain going on early in the AM, trembling, panting and pacing... so the minute the Northwoods Animal Hospital opened, I called and explained why I was so worried about her, and they said I could bring her in "right now" and they would make room for her in the schedule. She got right in and was examined, x-rayed, etc., and determined it was gastroenteritis - easy to treat with antibiotics and some palliative meds. The doc made me feel like he had all the time in the world for us, and made sure all my questions were answered. They even called the next day to check on Lucy, which is a nice way of showing they really care.

The veterinarian, vet techs and front desk were all very nice. My dog got sick while we were on vacation in the area and they got us in right away.

We love how professional and attentive the staff is here. Always a calming environment for our fur friend. Highly recommend.

A big thank you goes out to Dr Hayman for taking the time to give us direction for how to care for our little Teddy that was having big GI issues. I know the clinic was on overfill and so busy yesterday, the day after Labor Day, but Dr Hayman was so kind and considerate to speak with me . We’ve always entrusted the care of our dogs to the wonderful people and professionals at Northwoods Animal Hospital, and will continue to do so. Thank you again for your kindness and compassion.

They are very caring, and took good care of my at when he had his surgery! A fine place to take your animal for care of any kind!

this is the worst vet i have ever has the misfortune of dealing with. they have absolutely no empathy for your animal. doctor hayman there is worthless. uncaring about your pet, does not listen to you. who knows your dog better then you the owner. His only concern is MONEY. they never got my dogs info correct. didn't get her prescriptions filled on time. they even got her birth date wrong by 4 years. you would be better treating your pet yourself then taking them to this place. never again will i step through their door.

I started coming here during covid time so I've never been inside, but they have always taken care of the needs of my 2 fur babies.
