Memorial Drive Veterinary Clinic Manitowoc, Wisconsin

My little Maltipoo became very sick with diarrhea and vomiting. I called and they were close to closing but told me to bring her in. She was seen by Dr Newsome. She was very kind and knowledgeable. She answered my questions and prescribed medications. My little one was so much better the next day and continues to get better everyday.

All of the vets are Amazing. We have had Dr Sutton since 1989. So glad he still works, he's wonderful. Staff are great. Hands down the best vet clinic

Dr. Sutton thoroughly explained the diagnosis and made certain I had a contact if I needed to talk to him more. The clinic itself is extremely clean and nice. I left feeling confident I came to the right place.

EDIT: 5 years later I would like to amend my previous review. Seeing as I had such an awful time previously, Memorial Drive was the last of 5 places we called to get our pet in quickly (our regular vet was unavailable, so this is not our usual vet to see). Not only were they so incredibly kind, any decisions we made were respected after all options were explained to us. Dr.Dan (and the assisting staff in the room and at the counter) did an amazing job with our dog and at one point even said “we miss you girl” and if that doesn’t show the kind of care the clinic expressed today I’m not sure what else could. So incredibly thankful for Memorial Drive Vet today and all the kind staff who were there to help us. I’d give 10 stars if I could. If I could leave zero stars, I would. I've been a customer since I was a child when my parents took our pets there. The staff is very rude and not helpful. They are looking for money and do not have a heart. Angela, a receptionist was very cold when I asked for my records and was just plain rude. Sarah, a CVT is also very rude. No "bedside manner" and just a plain jerk. Amanda, a receptionist is one of the sweetest girls there--very patient, kind, and welcoming. I would NEVER recommend this vet to anyone. I'll travel outside of town to go somewhere worth it. I want someone to treat my pets like family, not another bill coming in.

Caring and helpful! Always great service. Thorough but considerate of your time. I appreciate that they keep both me and the pup relaxed during our visits.

Wonderful staff. Dr. Mansfield is fantastic and full of compassion.

Dr. Mansfield was amazing with our kitty. She was so sweet and caring, I could tell we were in the right place right away. I came for a second opinion and she listened to my concerns, took time to check everything over and helped us with a game plan going forward. She also made sure I didn't have any unanswered questions before I left. We'll definitely be back.

Having just moved to the area, I had not had time to establish a relationship with a Vet clinic for my cat. And then she was having an issue but this clinic was able to get her in the next day. Dr. Janell Osborn's treatment plan was to start out slow and go from there--which I really appreciated it! She prescribed medication and kitty is on the mend--thank you! A special shout out to Julia, who answered the phone when I called and made me feel good about my choice of clinics.

The staff is friendly, they listen to your concerns for your fur baby. The front desk, Tech(s) and doctors are professional, kind and caring. The facility is clean.

Didn't tell me they were going to charge $15 for 10 seconds with a blacklight, same exact antibiotics are $10 online but $27 as a prescription here, did not mention the "wound spray" wasn't a spray but a dropper bottle and didn't mention side effects like redness and itching, plus the $44 for the exam fee... ZERO communication. Never coming back. Be honest about your charges and possible side effects of prescriptions. ????

My dog loves the people . The veterinarian very knowledgeable took care of the puppers very well. And very Accommodating to let are peppers through the back. They remembered his triggers no beeps. Signed Zeus’s parents

My husband and I and our three fur children just recently moved to Manitowoc, and I have had two positive experiences with MDVC so far. One of our two dogs was not adjusting to the new move very well and was showing some behavioral changes. While on the search for someone to see her, MDVC got us in as soon as was available (same week), while other offices actually turned us away because we hadn't been to their clinic before. The vet even personally called me to give some suggestions to try in the meantime, and we were actually able to cancel the appointment after following the vet's advice. They also took all of my other pets' information over the phone to get them into their system the day I called for the first time. Fast forward to this weekend, our health problem ridden dog had a pretty severe nail break, and we were gotten in next day. Dr. Dan was very empathic and kind toward our nervous boy, and we went home happy, with a fresh nail trim, and some information on how to better manage his allergies, something we've struggled with for several years. The reception staff is also incredibly pleasant and compassionate. Examination prices are a bit high, but I think that's to be expected in most cases. Right now, this is our new clinic, and we will be back.

Would leave no stars, but 1 star is lowest. Being harassed and laughed at, talked under breath about not wearing a mask. Medically exempt. Trying to get my cat helped and better. I'm the bad guy for just minding my own business and trying to get my cat better... Been here multiple times and no issue until now but skinny blonde and fat red head. Other staff wore a shield, but I couldn't? Guess I don't fit in with the click? Will be pursuing legal actions... Let people be and help the animals... No need for harassment and otherwise...

I was very happy when they were able to take my new kitten in that was sick. I found her on Washington island and she is just the cutest little girl. Thank you for helping me save her and give her a better life.

Probably the most frustrating experience. They create a liability by trying to handle my dog on their own. This drive up method isn't well thought. I tried to give him them the chance because of their excuses of the whole "back to normal". But it's still an annoying process to take in our pets. It's the almighty dollar that gets the most mentioned. I couldn't even take my dog out to the car without them telling me I needed to pay my bill first. Like I was going to not come back in? This is small town, but they are a Corporate business that has changed policies to sell the services and products not required. You can't drop off a sample (which they requested) prior to an appointment without paying? Common sense approaches to small town connections will reign over Corporate practices. And why are they still using paper in 2021? You would think their time off last year would have given them the angst to upgrade their method of filling? Time to find a better care......

Staff was very helpful. Vet and assistant were ready for our second visit for our indoor/outdoor feline. I was happy to see their patience which allowed our cat to remain calm making him easier to work with. The treatment plan going forward is reasonable and is what's best for our cat. I was very pleased and would feel confident recommending them in the future.

I liked Dr. Osborne's use of other medical procedures.

I've known Dr. Sutton around 25 years, even before I started taking my animals to him, Every time is enjoyable and informative..lol I don't know what I'll do when he actually retires!!!

Finally found a veterinarian that knows cats extensively and is not in a rush to examine and move on to the next client as fast as possible. I would recommend Dr Osborne to anyone that cares deeply about their pet and how to determine an accurate diagnosis to any issues.

This clinic really helped my cat, was responsive to my need to provide quality care within the confines of my family budget. Thank you so much. My cats are literally the loves of my life, and I literally cried with relief that Tiger Kitty got the care that she needed in a safe professional & caring environment.

I have always had a great experience with everyone at Memorial Drive Vet Clinic. No matter if I just need my dogs medicine or if it's an appointment with the vet the entire staff is always pleasant and helpful. I feel great about bringing my dogs to them!

I’ve been going to Memorial Drive Vet Clinic since 1982. Everyone there has always been friendly, caring & professional. They have always treated my dogs and myself GREAT! Thank You All. Especially Thank you Dr. Joe & Dr. Maura.

They push other tests for your pet. Then they dont give you all the results.
