Definitely gives all the puppy's a good time and takes good care of them if they're hurt!

Couldn't be happier with the level of service and attention provided by the staff at Central Bark Manitowoc. They treat our dogs as if they were their own!

My dog is obsessed with this place to the point where he begins to completely lose his mind when we turn onto their street. He loves playing with his friends all day. I love that he has a safe environment to go be the wild man that he is while I'm working from home. The staff is very good about communicating with pet parents about any potential health concerns at the center and making sure that all pets are free from fleas/ticks upon arrival. Dogs are separated into appropriate social groups and redirected if they get out of control. Wish they were a bit cheaper (they're about $10/day more than the doggy daycares were when I lived in Chicagoland) but overall, highly recommend.

Our dog Bertha loves going to day care at Central Bark. She plays and romps all day. I Love that they give reports on her days there. It’s nice that they have pick up and drop off services too.

If you like your dog being in a metal box for half of the day, the other half being outside with miserable people who make minimum wage and have no specialized training whatsoever (besides a thirty min dvd), this is your place. Keep them at home where they’re comfy, have someone let them out at lunch, whatever you have to do not to waste your time and money tricking yourself into thinking it’s better than them being at home.

I've been taking my dogs to Central Bark since they opened. They really care about the dogs from puppy through end of life. Staff have helped me work through behavioral issues with a young dog, arthritis and temperament issues with an aging dog, through bringing a new dog into my home, and more. We've used their daycare services, salon, training, boutique, and overnights. I hear reports on how my dogs are behaving, interacting with others, when they have time outs, WHY they have time outs, and how I can work with them at home to be better friends on the playground. I buy the dog food there, which is the best price in the county, and yes, I've checked! If I ever have a problem with food, snacks, toys, or pet supplies, I've always been able to discuss the issue with staff and had a good resolution. I really like that everything is made in the USA, and a lot directly from Wisconsin. I've always had good results with grooming, although I speak with the groomer beforehand so what I want is clearly communicated. I would be seriously sad if Central Bark weren't here for my pets. The tail wagging and excited yipping when we pull into the parking lot is unmistakable happiness to be joining friends on the play ground. It never fails - the pups are tired when the come home after a day of play!

Went their with a friend who has a dog to check it out, I have cats so naturally I asked her if by happenstance she had anything a cat may like, she said take a look around, so I did. Came up with a few cans of wet chicken in a can at which I thought was a decent price for the size of 3$, as I went to the counter and set it down, she immediately said "no, you don't want to give your cat this, it has taurine". Not knowing if that was good or bad, I took her advice, then she pointed me to a small bag bag of freeze dried chicken for over $10, she said it was "for cat's and dog's". I took her advice and ended up taking it home with me. When I returned home I began to investigate the product. First test I did was smell it. I kid you not, it smelled like packing peanuts, and had the texture of Play-Do. My cat naturally felt the same, and my friends dog didn't touch it either. Later I researched how taurine can affect a cat, and it actually does wonders. Taurine is an essential amino acid that is critical for normal heart muscle function, vision, and reproduction in cats. Nonetheless I was very disappointed with the dishonesty and promotion of something that was totally inaccurate. I would have appreciated her telling me that her store had nothing for cats instead of trying to sell something neither a cat or dog felt was appetizing. Not a good look.

I don't understand the poor reviews; we don't use the groomer, so I can't comment on groomer quality, but I can tell you that we love Central Bark Day Care. We have a very small dog, who is very timid. We took her to day care to try to get her used to other dogs, and the staff took time to evaluate her personality and slowly introduce her to other small dogs. Now she thinks that all the other dogs are her best friends. She initiates play, greets new dogs, and has a blast. I appreciate that the staff have a strict privacy policy, so we feel very secure in leaving our pup in their care. In fact, we will have our first overnight in a few weeks, and we are confident our little girl will be just fine. They teach the dogs "come" and "sit" with specific hand signals, so we use those at home now, and she responds well. And we love that she expends all that puppy energy and sleeps the entire next day. :-)

We moved from Seattle and used Central Bark for dog grooming. The first three times our dog groomer was Annie and their hair looked great for a good price Then today, Charlene groomed them, at a hug markup cost of $108. My Lhasa was $62 and it looked like a 3 year old was given a pair of blunt scissors and told to cut hair. When I complained the owner would not refund my money and told me Annie would not be available to fix it. The owner also suddenly springs on us that our Lhasa is old and frail. They also did not allow my dogs any water nor take them outside to pee or poop when being there for four hours. I would not recommend this place for grooming.
