Rachael really knew how to handle small animals. Both of my rats had a very thorough examination. She explained things great and invited my questions.

They take wonderful care of my fur babies and truly care.

They were really nice to our hedgehog and explained everything to us very well.

Everyone was very responsive to my questions and concerns. I was very impressed. They enjoyed working with my dog and she was very comfortable with them. That of course made me comfortable. I am a retired physician and sometimes, I have had the feeling that other practises are just trying to satisfy everyone and guessing what I would like to hear. I really felt that the answers I received answered my questions. They made sense from a scientific point of view as well as a management point of view. I am new to the WI and feel that I have made a veterinary home.

I take my kitty for her annual shots and physical. I also take her for any concerns for her health. Each time they are thorough and they seem just as concerned for her health as I am. I'm glad I chose this clinic when I did, they currently don't take new patients.

Dr. Rachael Gortowski and her staff were so kind and gentle with my cat that she didn't even know that she was there for something other than people paying attention to her. Dr. Gortowski was very specific with the instructions for my animal's care leaving no doubt in my mind what I needed to do.

The front desk staff, techs, and doctors here take great care to make my pup feel comfortable, even while needing to perform uncomfortable procedures at times. Five stars across the board!

They are absolutely the best, they are so kind and always very polite whenever you call. They were always very nice when I asked for the estimated costs of things which was refreshing most other vets in town seemed to be annoyed when I needed an estimate for the appointments. They always made both me and my cat Hops feel safe and well taken care of. If we didn’t move this would 100% have been our vet for life. Absolutely love this place and the staff ❤️

I brought my 2 "girls" in for their first vet visit. They are several years old and I have taken over care of them. I was impressed by the detailed questions they asked and how they quickly put my scardy cat to ease. I will definitely be bringing them back in the future.

Truesdell has top notch vets, vet techs and staff! They are knowledgeable and so kind and compassionate. It's a great hospital/ care center!

We just moved to the Madison area and adopted a new puppy. The Truesdell team has been incredibly patient and helpful with us as we learn the ins and outs of puppy care. They even made room to see our pup last minute when she woke up sick one day! We highly recommend this team!

The last vet visit I was unhappy with the way the Vet spoke down to me. The latest their pharmacy blocked my order from a different pharmacy. I either had to order now from them (in an email) or call in to the vet. to get my order sent. not happy, looking at different vets.

I worked here so I'm biased, but it means I know how much the vets & techs care about animals. Spring is the busiest season so they're scheduling out a few weeks for non urgent care appointments. The pandemic process is you park in a numbered spot, call the clinic & they confirm the appointment. Since early July, 1 masked person can accompany the pet into the appt or you can choose to continue to follow the pandemic process. Pandemic process: The vet tech/vet calls you to obtain details regarding why you've brought the pet for a visit. You take your pet into the area between the 2 sets of doors where they are collected. They are treated & the vet calls to discuss your pet, you're transferred to the front desk to make payment & then you're instructed to collect your pet at the entrance.

Don't know where to start, yikes stay away.

What can I say? Once again, I received the the professional friendly service I have had for the last four years, consistently, when I bought my dog in with a broken dewclaw. Simply the best and a relief to know of them.

Bernie’s parents were out of town and left Bernie with me (grandma) to dog sit. After the first nite, I could tell that Bernie had an ear infection. I called the clinic, and the receptionist (Bethany) and the vet were quick to take action and help me out. I so appreciate their kindness and caring response!

Great service, friendly staff. They are a bit on the expensive side- hence the 4 stars.

Convinced me to get $330 in tests done (same tests had been done less than 6 months prior) against my wishes just to tell me there was nothing wrong with my cat. I won’t be going back. Nice folks, but they certainly pressured me into spending a ridiculous amount of money to tell me nothing was wrong.

Had a first visit with our dog for vaccinations and heart worm test. Everyone I spoke with was super kind. Our dog hates the vet. He went in pretty willingly and came out smiling and happy. Will return for more service as our dog’s primary care provider. Very happy so far. Thanks to everyone who saw Gunther and made him feel comfortable!

Compassionate (to both pet and owner) and reliably professional. Easy to communicate with. Appear to be more concerned with their performance than online PR. That's an indication of good priorities.

What a heartbreaking review to have to write. After 7 years of being a client, Truesdell failed me when I needed them most. I brought my dog in with concerns in December and had several hundred dollars of tests run, and yet did not receive a follow up email with ANY results or ANY analysis of those results. Oh my, what a failure, as I've finally NOW discovered that those results revealed my dog's hypercalcemia - an indicator of cancer. I blame myself for not being more diligent in following up, but had Truesdell contacted me I would have caught my dog's cancer MONTHS in advance, which has had a material impact on his prognosis. I was very pleased with Truesdell before the pandemic, but it seems that they have failed to manage the difficulties of the new normal and have a case load beyond their capacity. DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE. Perhaps things will improve when the pandemic passes, but i broken-heartedly implore you to seek care elsewhere.

I took my dog to Truesdell for the first time, and may goodness was I impressed! This is the third vet I've taken her too and I couldn't have felt more welcomed and assured my dog was in the best care. Due to COVID I wasn't able to go in to actually see the vet but she did such a great job explaining everything and making sure we had the best plan of treatment for my dog. Highly recommend Dr. Jackie and Truesdell.

If you are going for a basic wellness visit the clinic is fine, we’ve gone here for nearly 10 years even after we moved almost an hour away. Recently the staff has been incapable of writing or following basic notes to provide continuity of care. I’ve had to explain an unusual health development multiple times that should have been properly documented and was specifically asked to be added to the notes to provide quality and continuity of care. I’ve waited and called the clinic multiple times to receive lab results on several different visits which the clinic has held onto for several days without sharing even after specifically requested. “Research” that was completed and sent was one document that couldn’t even be bothered to send in the correct format and instead directed us to a site of veterinary articles on a variety of topics for me to do my own research and find the articles and research for myself. I’m so disappointed that when we finally needed the clinic to step up to the plate that they were incapable of being there even after a decade of being clients.

This is the first time I've had a dog all on my own. They've been so helpful and patient! They answer emails and phone messages quickly but even more impressive, they do a follow up call and email after a visit. The customer service is wonderful and they're so friendly and helpful.
