Amazing after the new ownership!!

We had problems finding a Vet. We finally found Dr. Karlstien at the Beltline Animal Hospital and we thought we had finally found the one. BUT he was selling the business! So the Business Sold we thought we were going to have to do the Great Vet Search again. But thank goodness it is another vet with reasonable price and we have a Veterinarian Dr. Rothstein. She is up to date on procedures and technology And I have to mention the vet tech who handles my "big baby" as if Buddy was his own dog.

I've been taking my cats here for 6 years now and I can't express enough how professional they are. They always make my cats feel comfortable. Very knowledgeable and reassuring when it comes to any issues. I will always recommend this place to anybody looking for a solid vet!

My dog, Bella, loved the vet and her assistant! They both took their time getting to know Bella and she thoroughly enjoyed the attention she received. I'm not even sure Bella noticed she had a complete wellness check and had her sore paw inspected.

Our previous 5 star review was for when Beltline Animal Hospital was under Dr. Karlburg's ownership (which all of these other reviews prior to 8/2/21 are also). Dr. Karlburg has since retired. We tried calling the new vet to set up an appointment for our dog -- he's been having some health issues. This is actually not a convenient location for us - we've only been going here because we liked Dr. Karlburg. We figured we'd try it out because our records are already there and perhaps there would have been a knowledge transfer. The new vet may be fine - I don't know. We never got that far. When we called, the "intern" (she called herself that) on the phone didn't have our vet records - so don't expect continuity of care if you're a former client. She also seemed unprepared to book an appointment, and icing on the cake, she insulted Dr. Karlburg as a vet. Seems pretty unprofessional. The attempt to book an appointment left such a sour taste that we've elected to switch to a new vet closer to home . If there is no continuity of care (even the basic level of having our prior vet records) and they're going to treat us as a brand new patient, there is no incentive for us personally to continue going there, as its not a great location for us. Also, word of advice, if you hope to retain the retired vet's clients, perhaps don't insult that beloved vet when talking to his former clients.

Had an emergency with my dog and could not be seen till the following day I was told. Do not think I will go there with my dogs in the future.

I love Banfield. They are so good to me and my baby Phoenix. I Love them.

Every visit or call I make is handled in a friendly and timely manner. I absolutely love this place!

Beltline Animal Hospital is part of our family. Having rescued several older dogs, they are very sensitive and helpful in guiding us provide the best health care for these wonderful souls which have brought such joy to our lives. With older dogs, we have experienced loss and Dr. Karlsburg has been so helpful in guiding us as we and our pets travel along the journey to the great dog park. We recently adopted our fourth rescue and Dr. Karlsburg and staff provided a great and peaceful examine for a dog who is learning to trust humans again.

Dr. Karlsburg has been my family's vet for 25 years providing both preventive and acute health care to my two cats. As I'd say both the cats and their humans have received the best care possible from Dr. K and his staff, I'd recommend them to anyone.

Dr Karlburg is the vet for the Monona Police K9 unit. He and his entire staff are very knowledgeable and have a true compassion in caring for animals. The customer service provided by Beltline Animal Hospital is beyond 5 stars, it's truly a great clinic.

We have been taking our cats to the Beltline Animal Hospital for many years. Dr. Karlburg and staff have always given our pets great care. Dr. Karlburg is very dedicated. He always takes the time to thoroughly answer all of my questions and explain in detail any treatments. I highly recommend Beltline Animal Hospital.

Good vet, always able to get an appointment within a quick timeline when it's been needed. Professional and effective, has always taken good care of my cat. They also have very reasonably-priced boarding services and did a good job when I put him up there for a week while on vacation. Overall, an excellent choice for pet care.

Always accommodating for grooming needs. I work most weekdays and they work with you to make sure you pick your animal up at a time that works for you. Best in town!

We love Beltline Animal Hospital. Dr. Karlburg is the best. My dogs get excited to see him. My dog with anxiety feels at easy with Dr. Karlburg and the amazing staff. They went above and beyond when we had to say goodbye to our elderly rabbit. They treat you like family. We won't ever go anywhere else.

We have been taking our two boys (dogs) to Beltline Animal hospital for about 8 years now and really trust Doc and Tina with them as they are members of the family as much as our own sons. (Ok, a little exaggerated but of course we love our pets!). Personal service, no feelings of pressure to purchase unnecessary products or procedures, but when something does arise you are confident that it is in the best interest of your pet and you. I am so grateful that I was referred to Beltline Animal hospital those many years ago and will continue to appreciate their services and recommend them whenever I can. They lost a very good groomer within the last year (off to bigger things! Congratulations Heather!) but recently hired a new one who did a wonderful job on both our boys (Cockapoo and Pomeranian). Bottom line is if you need someone to care for your pet as much as you do I believe you could not do better! Thanks everyone at Beltline Animal Hospital!

Dr Karlburg and staff are great. We trust them with routine care as well as concerns for both our dogs. We also had a great experience with their grooming there. One of our dogs has a difficult time w baths and they made him look great with very little trouble. Thank you!

We’ve taken our cat and dog to Beltline for about two years for both care and boarding and have been very happy with our experience. Dr. Karlburg is very knowledgeable and the staff are very friendly.

Beltline Animal Hospital has been the sole medical provider for my dog since I adopted him 4 years ago. The people there always have been kind and ready to promptly respond to any health need. Although I originally selected the hospital solely on the convenience of its location, I couldn't have chosen a better place.

I have been taking my animals to Dr. Karlburg since 2005. Everything included from rabbits to dogs. No matter the species the entire staff makes them feel at ease. I greatly appreciate their attention to staying up-to-date on advance procedures and new technologies to improve animal health.

I have been their client for over 30 years. They show great care and compassion when the end of life comes. They have always been available for any question or medical need with my cats no matter how small. The whole staff show that they do care for my cats and I am always comfortable taking my cats there, and leaving them there for treatment. I feel that they not only care about my cats, but also care about my feelings and needs. They know me and my cats. I would never consider going anywhere else. Used their pet boarding for first time my cats. Very pleased. They took great care of them and made sure they were comfortable. Put my mind at great ease. Will board with them again with no hesitation.

Update: Dr. Pamela Sanftleben has moved to Sauk Point Veterinary. It was quite a commute for her & some of her clients to the Beltline Animal Hospital. Definitely was a commute for me, but I’d follow her anywhere for my animals. So glad to have her closer again. Original post: is the most compassionate, knowledgable vet that I have ever known. She has cared for my Chesapeake bay retrievers and Bengal cats, as well as many other family & friends' animals for 15+ years. I am thankful to find her at the Beltline Animal Hospital. Spring Harbor was never the same great place once it was sold to a corporation with Dr. Link's retirement. I prefer to go to a locally owned business with long term experience and values where my animals have names. Dr. Pam obviously prefers to work at such a place also! Thank goodness!
