Such sweet and personable staff! Every time we visit, they always remember our puppies names and greet them like old friends. Rooney and Bailey get so excited once we turn on the street and by the end of the day are so tuckered out they’re falling asleep on the way home. What really sold us was our first visit. We had construction going on and Rooney got spooked. He booked it out of the house shaking and I was calling multiple daycares to see if they had a spot. Hickory Hills was so accommodating. They made it so easy to sign up and let us drop him off that afternoon. I was a little emotional and stress from seeing Roo so scared and almost running away- and it was such a relief to pick up a happy dog. When we went to pay, they told us that the day was on them given the situation. Great customer service-turned my terrible day around and we have been going there for months now. 10/10 would recommend.

They take good care of your fur babies.

When you take your dog somewhere and they are happy to arrive it's always a good thing. Just don't bring you dogs blanket lol...

Hickory Hills is always a pleasant experience, whether it's for doggie daycare or boarding. The staff is friendly, professional, and in love with dogs. Recently, the family was going on a day trip and the staff was happy to accommodate us with an overnight kennel if we were to be too late to pick our dog up from daycare (we booked a month on advance). We made it back in time, but we still had the piece of mind that our dog was going to be ok.

We have kenneled our dog at Hickory Hills many times. They are always easy to book with, have always had availability, and have very reasonable boarding rates.

Love Hickory Hills and so does our dog Lambchop! The staff are super nice and friendly too. Highly recommend!

Fantastic! We've been coming to HH for years. Our dogs love it and often times don't want to leave to go home. The crew is friendly and professional and seem to really enjoy their guests.

Always friendly and welcoming of all breeds

My dogs recently started going to this daycare and they absolutely love it. Their outdoor space is large, and there are always tons of happy pups waiting by the gate to greet my dogs. They offer frozen kong treats and baths as well for an extra fee. My dogs always come back dusty (from rolling in dirt) and exhausted lol. I recommend buying their daycare packages as well, so you don't have to stop in and pay every time. They just deduct the prepaid visits from your package. It's also a bit cheaper that way.

This was my first time ever boarding our dog and I was so nervous... it didn’t help that it was raining and cold and the poor guy hates being outside which is where he was when we left... didn’t love that. I was also misinformed about the price and ended up paying over double what I was told when I booked the appointment. Our boy hasn’t been fixed yet so couldn’t mingle with the other dogs... wish I would have been informed about the options to add on play time and cuddle time because I feel like he was alone the majority of the time he was there. Also when I picked him up I wasn’t given any information about how he did or how he acted... the girl said she didn’t know. I will say they welcomed our pitbull with open arms and never judged his breed! Probably won’t be back...

Hickory Hills Kennel has been fantastic for our dog Thor! He loves it here and the staff always take great care of him. They have also been super accommodating to last minute changes or when we had our first baby and didn't know how long we would be in the hospital. I would definitely recommend them and Thor always comes home tired out!

It's always a good sign when your dogs excited to go to the kennel

I took my dog there before going on a vacation for a week. He was happy when we left him, but when we came back he was really tired and not feeling great. They said he ran a lot so we thought he was fine. Then, he would not get better so we took him to the vet, and they said he had internal bleeding. A week later, we had to put him down because the vet could not find the cause of his bleeding. Never going to forget this.

Above and beyond! Our family was out of town and Dana reached out to me letting me know our dog may need medical attention (nothing serious- thankfully!) . She notified me right away, obtained samples from our girl and took them straight to the vet in such a short time and worked with the vet to see if any treatments needed to be done. I was so stressed thinking I needed to find a family member or friend to get our pup and take her to the vet. But Dana jumped in and offered to help with no hesitation. She kept me in the loop throughout the process and maintained communication. Like most dog owners, our pups are our world, our babies. It is great dropping off our babies, knowing they will be loved and cared for. My family has been able to enjoy our time out of town, knowing that Dana and the team at hickory hills are taking care of our babies. THANK you Dana and the team at Hickory Hills!

It’s a genuinely good facility. I have a border collie Aussie mix. My dog loves this place. When I pull up in my car, he cries and scratches at the window to run inside. He genuinely likes being there. The moment he enters the group play area he takes off like a rocket. Large area for the dogs to play in. He’s never seemed stressed when I pick him up, and he’s usually exhausted from playing. Only bad part is that it is a dirt pen outside. Your dog will get dirty, so the bath is almost a requirement. They do a great job at washing him as well before pickup.

Great price for doggy daycare.

Best daycare and boarding ever. Know each dog and their personalities. Have been their every week for 8 years. 26 mile round trip drive worth it.

I could not be happier with my first experience here. I have never sent my fur babies to a kennel or daycare so I was a bit nervous. I am expecting to go into labor and they were able to make space for both my dogs last minute. They were so friendly and when I picked my babies up, they were both so happy. I will definitely bring them back and appreciate all the people who made our experience an amazing one!

This place is a dream for our dog (Mikko). The excitement he gets when we turn into the Kennel makes my heart happy that he loves being there. The staff is beyond caring (to the point of spoiling him ha), and he always comes back from daycare or boarding just the way we want him - tired and worn out... it lets us know he had a good, active day. We cannot thank this place enough for the kindness, attentiveness, and sheer love of dogs they have towards any dog in their care. We will be life-long Hickory Hills people. Thank you guys for EVERYTHING you do!

My boy attends boarding and daycare here and he loves it. The facility is great--has a large open play yard with steps, tires, etc. Prices are reasonable. Love the daily photos they take and contests they do every so often; following their Facebook page is entertaining! The owner is amazing--always love catching her and saying hi. The rest of the staff (minus one) are incredible--they genuinely care about both the dogs and their owners and will go out of their way to ensure a problem is solved. There's only one daycare attendant, a girl with long black hair who doesn't quite fit in with her kind and caring coworkers...I've witnessed her yelling mean things at the dogs and completely ignoring customers... Unfortunately there's usually a bad apple in every bunch, but I sure hope she doesn't stick around too long. No other complaints--my pup always comes home tired and happy!

We've been bringing our now old guy here for 8 years-- they have senior dog spaces! We really trust them.

Mixed review: On the second day of daycare, our puppy broke his leg at Hickory Hills. Was not informed of this (no phone call after the incident) until pickup, where he was kenneled in an isolated kennel in the rain, and in pain. Was told puppies would be kenneled with other puppies, but that was not the case. Got different stories from the owner and the attendant about how the incident happened. The owner was nice enough to investigate and reimburse the full cost of pup’s surgery, and apologized profusely, which was appreciated. However, we never used Hickory again because all trust was lost.
