Dr. Joe is very kind. He provides excellent care for my mother's dogs. We recently had to put one of her dogs down and Joe made the experience comfortable and peaceful for all of us there. In a time of great sorrow, I couldn't thank him enough for his compassion and patience. I recommend anyone looking for a great vet to consider Eastside Veterinary Clinic.

Our 14 yr old Shadow was euthanized by Dr Joe 2weeks ago. As heartbreaking as it was he made Shadow comfortable and she isn't in pain anymore. We are thankful for finding Dr Joe and Chris,because of their extraordinary care and compassion.

Dr. Joe is a wonderful vet. His clinic is run by only him and the help of his secretary, hence their small availability to take new clients. However, he has always been compassionate and caring and gives my (many) pets excellent care. So happy to be able to trust him as my vet!

Dr. Joe, and RN. Chris are not only the best at taking care of our furry family member's, but they also care about "us" pet parent's too. My family and I have been with them for many years now, and feel really lucky to have found such a great place!!!

not thrilled. Whoever takes phone calls was extremely rude. It was my first interaction with the clinic, hoping to bring my dog who I just rescued there and set him up as a patient. I was completely stunned and confused as to how rude the employee was during the entire conversation. This world sucks. Be a kind person. It's not hard. Will never bring business to nasty people. Good luck interacting with them.

These vets care almost as much for my pets as I do. It usually only takes a couple of days to get in for routine things, but in emegencies they get you in right away. Amazing.

If I could give this clinic 10 stars, I would. We took our 2 cats to a nearly pet clinic and after 2 years of horrible service switched to Eastside Vet Clinic. While the building looks a little tired, the service and care is fabulous. Steve, our Vet Tech & Dr. Vetter took fabulous care of our pets explaining everything in great detail. We were very impressed and pleased at how much better our cats feel after their care at Eastside Vet. Going forward, this is where we will take our pets for all their care needs.

Dr. Joe and Chris are the best. They truly care about our pets and take the time to explain everything. I trust then completely to give my cats and dogs the best care.

Personal service and great value

I took my dog there for 1 year as a puppy. They were great. After moving away for 7 yrs I came back to Madison and returned there for another 3 yrs. Unfortunately, when my pet had reoccurring problems, with unknown problems I was told it was .y fault. I sought a 2nd opinion. I should have been referred a year and half prior for one. If so my pet would have lived at least several years longer according to the diagnosis and o two specialized veterinarians. Sad ending.

Joe and Chris are wonderful and I trust them wholeheartedly with my pets. The prices are reasonable and they are always very helpful when I have questions/concerns about my critters.

I started seeing Dr Joe over 10 years ago. He saw me through the care and tough end of life decisions with my Weimaraner, Doberman and smooth fox terrier. I felt like he and Chris were very compassionate with each loss. My current 2 boys go there and the level of care is great!

Dr Joe is the most amazing kind veterinarian I know. He was the first friend I made when I arrived in madison ten years ago with my siberian husky who had a bladder infection. Joe has lovingly cared for all of my dogs ever since. He was quick to diagnose congestive heart failure in my other dog and quite possibly saved his life. I highly recommend east side veterinary for your pets, they will get the very best care and his rates are reasonable. Best vet on the east side.

Dr joe is hands down the best vet. My animals have been seeing him now for about 10 years now. He has walked me through tough decisions and been so compassionate with loss. I like that he does everything in the room with me there as well.

Love this vet,they are like family to us& our 4 dogs. Dr joe &Kris are awesome,been going there forever, told them they can never retire.they treat our dogs as if they were their own! Plus, I like the atmosphere, where you have the same vet,who remembers your dogs,unlike some larger vet clinics!

Joe and Chris are excellent. They show true compassion toward their patients, so much so that one of our dog’s favorite places to go is the Eastside Veterinary Clinic!

If you want to be bitten by a dog, this is the place to go. Owners will do nothing but slowly sit back and watch their dogs run up to someone and almost start attacking. It's a Veterinary Clinic for god's sake, you would think their dogs would behave.
