their prices are WILD. lol i read the reviews and thought “vets are expensive anyways” but the reviews were not lying wen they said this place is three times as expensive. a urine sample was close to $100. and they don’t allow people to go into exam rooms with the vet, so you literally get no information. no clue what they do to your cat back there or what they check. it’s weird. you get a call while sitting in their waiting area and they just go down a checklist with you and discuss what they found without referencing the physical cat.

This place is so good to my old kitty. The staff is wonderful, and check in time is about as fast as just entering the front door. Prices seem a bit high, but it may be average for the general area. I entrust them with my cats health fully. My cat has passed away, and even so. They took care of both him and myself through this very difficult process. I'm thankful for their gentle nature, and will be a repeat client whenever I get the ability for a new fuzz ball in my life.

Cat Care Clinic is the only place I trust with my baby. After having a frightening experience with another Madison vet, Dr. Kelton saved the day. Dr. Kelton and really all the staff (including the boarding folks) truly care for my cat. They always follow up after he visits (medical appointments and boarding). They are so accommodating and make me feel less crazy for being obsessed with my feline.

The best! So nice, quiet, and my cat loves not hearing dogs at the vet.

My cat had been missing for over a month and these people called me to tell me someone found my cat and wanted to adopt her. Completely unprofessional. When I called them back they didn’t answer and then proceeded to RELEASE my cat to the person who wanted to adopt her. Stating that they couldn’t keep my cat there. But it was totally okay for her to go the the East Cat Care clinic and drop her off? Disgusting. The lady on the phone was rude an more compassionate to some weirdo who found my cat rather than me, who had been missing her. 0/10 wouldn’t take my cat to these people. It doesn’t matter to me how “wonderful” you think this person is. Had I found someone’s lost pet my first reaction would be to reunite them. I certainly would not have the Gaul to ask to adopt someone’s lost pet. To me, it speaks volumes of the person. And for you guys to call me and say right away “we found your cat someone wants to adopt it” WHAT ARE YOU THINKING? seriously. I called you back with in 10 minutes 4 times and you guys called me back a half hour later. You didn’t even give me an hour to come get my cat. No excuses. This was a horrible experience for me.

Best care. Best vets. As expensive as a human ER visit, but apparently you get what you pay for. Other vets in the area pale by comparison.

They were amazing!! Got my kitty in on the day I called and were super caring and professional. You can tell that they are knowledgeable and really care. I was at the East side clinic. They even called the next day to see how my kitty was doing.

I take my 3 cats here, and we always have a good experience. You can tell they all really care about cats

I have really tried to like this place. We have 4 cats and often foster, needless to say we are crazy cat people! I would love to be able to go to a vet that specialises in cats, but I have only had mediocre experiences here. Firstly, they are significantly more expensive than any other vets in the area. I would be happy to pay a bit more to go to an all cat clinic, but I am talking double the price for medications and they charge for simple little things that my normal vet does for free as part of a routine exam. They will recommend procedures that are, in my opinion, unnecessary - and I hate to say, but I get the feeling it is not because it is in the cat's interest, but for the money. The appointments also take about 3 times as long as my normal vet, for no apparent reason, I can only assume they want you to think that your money is being well spent? But they have very few patients, so why take 2 hours for a simple exam? I honestly wish it was different, I would love to be able to go here, but I have tried them a couple of times through the years and I have never had a good experience.

'm not sure where to begin. I brought in my senior Persian cat to see if I could help her with her congestion. I know these cats can have problems due to their brachycephaly, but I thought I would see if something could be done anyways. There isn't a lot that can be done for her breathing, but the vet suggested giving my cat 500 mg of lysine a day. I didn't question it at the time, but after noticing my cat has not been getting better (she had been taking the treatment since October of 2020) and looking at multiple research papers on the subject, there have been many conclusions reached by different studies that lysine does not help with viral infections or respiratory problems and can actually lower levels of arginine, an essential amino acid, and exacerbate health issues. I'm pretty upset that this was suggested to me. I know that it is impossible to be up-to-date on every veterinary subject, but this seems like an issue to me. Cat Care Clinic also found other issues with Willow. She has a heart murmur (another problem commonly found in Persians) and also has bad dental disease (a problem that is notorious with cats in general). According to the vet, her heart murmur was a level 4-5 out of 6. She also needs at least three teeth extracted and a cleaning. I love my pets and I do what I can to help them. In this case, it involved me going to a different vet who places Willow's heart murmur at a 2/6, and could not initially tell if she needed extractions. I know that opinions can be different, especially veterinary and medical, but these are very different diagnoses. I also noticed the difference in prices for the two clinics I've been to and they are VERY different. There is a difference of $500 for the dental procedures and I could not believe the price for the general exam altogether. I know pets can be expensive, and I want my pets to be well cared for, but I do not want to pay for unnecessary treatments and have mistakenly done so in the past. I believe the people at Cat Care Clinic care about pets, but I question some of their practices. Update (3/6/21): We took Willow to a veterinary imaging clinic this week to get an echocardiogram done. The vet concluded that there were no signs of any heart disease, myocarditis, or any other problems with Willow’s heart. He also does not believe her heart murmur is affecting her physiologically (agreeing with our other vet’s conclusions). She will have her dental work done later this month.

Just had my cat spayed here. It's a little pricey, but the amount of care they give your baby is worth it.

Thank you for your expertise and passionate care of our challenging cat. Dr. Luther at Cat Care Clinic was the 6th veterinarian that we have seen throughout our moves around the country, and the only one to really give our cat an actual physical examination as an adult. In the past our veterinarian experiences have been very stressful with our cat never being cooperative enough to get a real examination, and her being sick after visits. The previous veterinarians always seemed to just want to get us out the door and we have had exams where they gave her vaccines through her kennel and even saying that it is best to just give her a 3 yr rabies vaccine so we wouldn't have to come back for 3 years. It was great to know that we found a veterinarian who takes the time and provides great care. It was refreshing when we got home last night our cat did not seem stressed at all and was just back to herself.

The staff and doctors are great BUT they are very expensive, 2 to 3 times what I’ve paid at other vet clinics. If money is no object check this place out, they definitely know what they are doing.

They take such amazing care of my fur baby-he's been seen by the folks here for nearly 18 years. They're the kindest, most caring group of people and we trust their knowledge and experience when it comes to treating our cat's various ailments.

This clinic is great! I've gone to them before and during the pandemic and they've always been great. They are great at communicating which I love and all the employees are so sweet. I've mostly dealt with Dr. Parks and a couple different vet techs and they are always positive and open to answer all your questions. I have a vet closer to me but I end up here because I just love how thurough they are.

Awesome staff. Helped me understand what was wrong with my cat and patiently answered my million questions. On top of that, they are flexible and allow some payment options which made a stressful situation much better.

I have not been there yet. I did call for an appt. But because I could not go in turned it down. Covid 19 hurts animals too. But pets don't know whats happening, except their owners arent with them.

My fur baby has been going to the Cat Care Clinic for a few years now. While the prices are slightly more expensive, I totally understand why and I will never take my cat to another vet as long as we are in Madison. My cat has just awful teeth, and I did some homework and found a local clinic with extremely low prices and decent reviews so I took him there to get some teeth extracted. My little guy was injected with a medication intended to treat dogs with heartworm instead of the anesthesia needed for his extraction. It was one of the scariest experiences I've had as a pet owner. After realizing the massive mistake I made, my cat went right back to the Cat Care Clinic. Dr. Kelton did his last extraction and performed the necessary extractions for him again. She called to discuss the horrific experience with the "other vet," and reassured me that there are protocols in place to prevent something like that from happening again. Dr. Kelton also did some additional testing and investigating to ensure there were no long lasting effects from the injection done in error by the other vet. While my cat was at the clinic, I was given regular updates throughout the day and everyone I spoke with apologized for the experience I had with the other vet. The folks at the CCC really truly love and care for my fur baby and I trust them fully. I would pay a little extra to have the peace of mind knowing he's in good hands. THANK YOU to everyone at the CCC! You are all my heroes - and Doodie too! ♥♥♥

Great team who really cares about cats! I was nervous because I couldn't go back with my cat because of COVID, but they kept me informed the whole time and they must have done great because Lou had no complaints!
