We recently boarded our dog at Animal Hospital at Hillshore. They are so friendly and concerned for his well being. He had emergency surgery there a couple of months before and they took such wonderful care of him during the whole time.

Such a great experience. I was worried about my cat after surgery and they were able to get him first thing in the morning! They were so kind, friendly and comforting. Highly recommend!!

They answer the phone immediately and get you in ASAP. Plus you see the same staff rather than a factory model of vet clinic where there are different vets every visit.

I wish I could give them TEN stars. They are by far, the best vets in the area. Our kitten hasn’t even been in for his physical yet and they’ve already provided him amazing care and quality of life. If you are looking for a Madison vet, especially for cats, please do yourself a favor and choose Animal Hospital of Hillshore.

This office has an excellent group of staff members that ask you if there is any changes with your pet down to reminding you that your pet is due for medical intervention be it vaccines or the annual rabies medication at every visit before intake. The veterinarean for our dog is good at what they do and seems to have a memory of our impressionable canine. Thanks AHH. The appointment scheduler on their website saves us a ton of steps as well. We've taken our cats to Animal Hospital At Hillshore for almost 20 years. Our two cats have always been treated with kindness and professional attention. The vet and the staff are excellent.

This is the ONLY place my chihuahua will allow to cut her nails without anesthetic!! They are professional, flexible, and always delight the customer. So glad I found them.

My dog has his annual shots, preventative meds, and dentistry at Animal Hospital at Hillshore. The staff are attentive to all concerns and take great individual care of my little pal. Took my 16-year-old girl to Animal Hospital yesterday for an annual checkup, shots and pedicure. The hardest part was wrestling her into her cat carrier and dealing with her whining during the car ride. And she snubbed me for the rest of the day. I was glad to know that she is healthy. The staff seemed to care about her well-being, and they know how to keep her calm. Cost is comparable to other veterinary clinics, and they know their stuff.

Very disappointed in the service at this vet clinic. I took my corgi here last year for check up when we first adopted her. The first visit i was already skeptical about the abilities and care these vets give the animals here. This first visit they already told me that they were not able to do any testing on my dog because she was too "nervous"...ok so what did i even pay over $100 for then? so i then made the mistake of taking her here again to get her blood drawn to do testing and they recommended giving her half a tablet to sedate her. so i did and yet again they were not "able" to take any tests of her....ok so then i take her a third time giving her an entire tablet to sedate her and AGAIN they couldn't test her!!!!! SERIOUSLY???i wasted so much time out of my work day and not to even mention gas money driving here three times and they literally did NOTHING!!!! This literally is the worst service i have ever experienced. they also make you wait in the car for you animal to get done when its literally 90 degrees outside....yea not coming here ever again. Definitely not going to make the mistake of coming probably a fourth, fifth, sixth time and most likely will come out again saying they are unable to test my dog even when she is sedated....thats a waste of time. Go to a vet that actually wont waste your time!!

The Dr. and the techs and AHAH care about me and my two dogs. They have literally saved my old dog's life twice, and they are guiding me through the little problems that puppies have. Highly recommended!

Dr. Krautkramer and her staff are friendly and insightful. They've gone out of their way to be helpful and care for my cats, over the years.

I have taken my Pets to Animal Hospital at Hilldale for over 30 years! My 3 dogs and 2 cats ( over the years) have received excellent care. Dr. Krautkramer has not been there the whole time but has provided excellent and compassionate care for our cats over the past 3 years. The entire staff is very caring. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Dr K is amazing! She is compassionate, knowledgeable, reasonable, and understanding. I’m moving soon and am so sad we can’t keep her as our primary vet. It’s going to be hard to find another vet that’s this good. ALSO: the rest of the staff is AMAZING. They are so helpful and kind. 10/10, great establishment.

Animal Hospital at Hillshore has been taking care of our family pets for >25 years: cats, a gerbil, rats, a ferret, a hedgehog, and a dog. They are knowledgeable, compassionate (with both the pets and their owners!), and very professional. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

We have been taking our dogs here for 10 years and find the service and attention to be just right for us. Reminders for routine care and the few times our terriers have been sick, gentle treatment with options for us to consider. We have had senior and puppy dogs and Dr Angela seems to understand them all.

Dr. K at Animal Hospital takes care of our two cats. She is wonderful. The cats are as patient with her handling as she is in providing care. Both cats submit to her examinations with very few complaints. We got a low growl from our 13-yr old one time, but that's it. Dr. K provides thorough explanations of any proposed treatments and helps us talk through the various options that may be offered. When the 13-yr old had a abscess in his lower jaw, she carefully drained the abscess and then suggested more specialized care for extraction of the tooth. The support staff personnel are super and very helpful. We heartily recommend the care at Animal Hospital.

The most wonderful vets you could ask for.

I had to make appointments at least 2 months in advanced at the UW-Madison Vet school for small animals. Here, that appointment was confirmed within 2 weeks. Hillshore is affordable for routine checkups of small animals and the staff is lovely! Shout out to my roommate Olive who works there as an assistant vet!
