Picked up two kitties from here. They told me they were both 5 months old, turns out these cats are both 1 year...which is odd because one paperwork from them says both DOB 8/18/21 and another says both 12/17/20. Im convinced they only did this to get more money from the adoption, as cats under 6 months are 129 and 1 year would have been 99, as per their website. Im not mad about this, i just really wish they would've told me upfront. Regardless, I loved the kitties before adoption and I love them now. My advice would be to check paperwork before you adopt.

I rather take my cats here than a Vet. Hopefully they'll have vaccine program again soon.

My little dog, Prize, was neutered. Included Along with that was his vaccines, no charge, and after care needs. He was very brave and the staff were amazing! 145$ 12.30.2021 He healed amazing! No longer is peeing in the house ????

When I went in during Covid they were not very accommodating at all, never heard back from them after I turned in my application but still got blessed with my dog Enzo from somewhere else, so for my next dog I wouldn’t even try to come back here.

all the girls up front do is goooossiiiip. if you are going to save an animal here, please do, please save it from the cruel, terrible hands who are working here. any thing is better than the care they receive here. they are awful to their poor homeless animals, may someone save them!

This the second time we adopted an animal from here. The staff is great and the work they do for the animals is amazing

We adopted a beautiful kitty today. They told us she was reactive and not great with kids, but she was totally just misunderstood. Got her home, she never cried on the ride, and never hid when she got here. She curled up next to me on my bed and went to sleep and happily let my kids pet her and kiss her. She's a big fan of chin scratches and forehead smooches. I'm so happy she came home with us. She's so sweet and perfect. ❤ Thanks for bringing us together! She will be spoiled and loved dearly.

I got 'BOO' the cat and he's awesome , the staff was great also. I really got lucky getting him . He's almost 4 now ,so it's cool because he knew the litterbox and didn't scratch anything ????????

At first I was disappointed because the kitten that I desired was not available. So I went home without a kitty. But when I got home I got a call. They told me I could have the kitty I wanted. I Thank God for giving me the desires of my heart. There's more kittens and older cats that need a forever home. They also needs donations to the shelter. So make a choice to do either by helping Safe Harbor in Kenosha, WISCONSIN. Thank you in advance!!!

I scheduled an online appt to have our new kitten Spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. The service went as scheduled, no issues dropping off or picking up, and less expensive than what an animal hospital would have charged us for the same services...????‍⬛???? ????????????

I needed to have my 20-year-old cat put down and my vet was out of town for the week. I called five or six vets in Racine and Kenosha and they all said they had a two-week wait. They all suggested the emergency clinic on highway 31 but to euthanize and cremate it was several hundred dollars. As I was checking on my options my husband came across safe harbor and I called them and they had me come in the next afternoon. Yes we were arriving to have him euthanized he died in my arms. I brought him in to the office and they checked him and he had definitely passed and so we set him up for cremation. The girls at the front desk were very sympathetic. Within 9 days I had him back. It also included and earn and they were very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend it and have already told several people about safe harbor in Kenosha.

Very helpful with feral cats in our area. I'm glad to know the cats will be taken care of and treated humanely.

Best place to get a furever friend it's a really loving place with a lot of different dogs with different personalities I would recommend this place to get a furever friend.

The people at safe harbor are really good people. They took in these 2 stray kittens. Truly a difficult position I was in, not being able to care for them myself. Can't thank them enough.

Drove an hour, to be told we couldn't see any dogs, due to construction. Told us it was on the website. After further review, it is on their website, at the very bottom, with nothing to make it stand out. Google said they were open, I guess like many other shelters, it's in their best interest to keep the dogs, and the donations rolling in. Just one of many reasons, shelters push people into store bought puppies.
