We had a great experience at Best Paw Forward! We were provided valuable and practical information/strategies every week that we have been able to implement at home. Our puppy loved going to class to learn in this controlled environment. Pam and Amy were amazing to work with and consistently made themselves available during and after class to answer questions. We highly recommend improving your relationship with your dog by going to Best Paw Forward!

Just completed the puppy kindergarten with our black lab. He learned a lot and enjoyed the socialization! They email you notes the day after each class so you dont have to remember everything.

Great class, you can tell the trainers know and love what they are doing.

A recent purchase of a puppy led our family to research many dog trainers in the area. Although we had trained dogs in the past, this pup was not responsive to some of the commands. We reached out to the staff and they walked us through some tips, we registered and completed puppy kindergarten, and have signed up for the Basic Class. There is NEVER a time that your dog cannot be trained, we are extremely satisfied with the level or instruction, personal attention, professionalism, and frankly the RESULTS. My wife came home frazzled from the first class, our pup was a handful. As the weeks progressed, there was significant AND obvious improvement and the pup is truly a great addition to our family. Thank you BEST PAW FORWARD. A++++++++++

YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY! There are so many styles of trainers and I have used other methods and I can sincerely say that the POSITIVE reinforcement way that BEST PAW FORWARD trains as well as the "EXTRA" attention the trainers give in the small class sizes is invaluable. They were available NOT ONLY in class, but for challenges I encountered along the way. Very responsive, reliable, results focused, and the bond I have with my pup after the classes is so strong. I am extremely grateful for them. There is so much literature about the training methods and I witnessed results for each dog in our class. Highly recommend. We are planning a future class to learn other skills. VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER.

Such a great place and the trainers are amazing! Riley loved his puppy kindergarten class and we are looking forward to taking him to both Basic Manners and Puppy Agility class.

The Focus and Control Class was a GAME CHANGER for our two dogs who struggle with impulse control at times-- jumping up on people, barking at dogs walking outside, taking off after a squirrel, etc. This class has made our lives 10x easier and has taught our dogs how to make the right decisions in times when they are feeling overwhelmed! Highly recommend!!!

I trained my first dog Reggie at Best Paw and constantly received compliments on how well trained my dog was. I am currently training my 2nd dog Louie. Best Paw Forward has great trainers who are very knowledgeable and they really care about the success of your dogs. The program is well organized, fun, and it works.

My dog and I loved taking classes at Best Paw Forward. We took the Focus and Control class, and felt like it was SO useful in helping with impulse control for our Jasper. Having an in class experience was fantastic because we could practice skills we had learned in a controlled setting around other dogs, but the tips and tricks given to us to work on after each class were really helpful and detailed and will allow us to continue to work with him even after the class. The trainers were really helpful and knowledgeable. I also appreciated their take on training (positive reinforcement) because my dog's behavior improved, but I also felt like I was building a stronger bond with him as well. Definitely recommend!!

Best Paw Forward is a wonderful place to take your puppies and dogs for training. The owner and instructors attend several continuing education courses and do a great job of modifying and improving their curriculum based on customer feedback and industry best practices. I’ve attended classes on and off over the past decade with three different dogs and the quality of the education and the support received has always been and continues to be exceptional! I HIGHLY recommend Best Paw Forward as a dog owner and fellow force free training practitioner. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We’ve taken a handful of classes at Best Paw Forward and have thoroughly enjoyed them all. From puppy kindergarten to manners to rocket recall and focus and control. And the reason we keep coming back is the instruction and tools work for us. I feel more confident after each class that Opal will have good manners/reactions around other people, dogs and in unusual situations because of what we’ve learned and, more importantly, continue to practice. And, for me, that peace of mind is priceless. We know we have more work to do and we plan to continue to utilize the tips and tricks we received in class - and sign up for more down the line. I really enjoy having this one on one class time to work with Opal and learn new training exercises. The positive results are icing on the cake. Thank you!

Warning! Took our puppy there tonight for the Puppy Social. WISH WE HAD NOT!!! They had two pens set up with one for smaller and the other for larger puppies. They placed our puppy with the older set probably because there were about 15 of the smaller dogs and only 4-5 older dogs. He was the smallest and youngest in the group. First clue that things were questionable. Most owners are out there with the pups watching them and monitoring behavior. Others sit in the chairs provided. Chairs? That should have been my second clue of potential problems. Our pup got rolled and pinned again and again and again but kept getting back up wanting to play. It happens. One of the dogs pinning him got very aggressive though and started to bite him hard enough to make him yelp. The owner sat in the chair and the "trainers" did nothing. I do not like to grab another persons dog but after this happened several times I had enough and had to physically pull the other dog off on mine but not before he lost some fur. Owner still in the chair and the "trainer" still not doing anything. If you have an aggressive dog and want some live chew toys then this is the place for you. If you want to train your dog in social situation I would go elsewhere.

We did puppy kindergarten with our puppy Hazel. The trainers are great and also give you homework to do outside the classes. Positive reinforcement has led to good habits. We have the best puppy ever!

Excellent training for behavior modification if you have a irksome pooch. Loved the small class sizes and individual attention.

Don’t go here. Positive Reinforcement training works great when you to teach your dog to do something. It does not work for correcting your dog’s bad behavior. In class our instructor brought her own dog in. Her dog got restless, wanted attention, and pulled on her sleeve. She corrected the dog by making him go to his mat and sit. When he did this, she treated him. It didn’t take long for her dog to realize that all he has to do is bite her sleeve, go to the mat and sit, and he gets a treat. This happened 3 more times until her sleeve was torn. Her dog learned “Bite sleeve, go to mat, sit, get treat.” The instructor wouldn’t admit that she was rewarding bad behavior. Unfortunately actions similar to this happened often during the classes. As Jeff Gellman says on YouTube, anything you reward you get more of, and anything you correct you get less of.

Excellent training and counseling for new and experienced dog owners. Beyond great group of dedicated individuals. I highly recommend for puppy training- we are both multiple pet owners and learning a great deal about puppy training.

My baby girl Tally and I just completed Basic Manners 1 with Pam and Amy in Hartland. I've taken a number of classes with other companies with our older dog and I have never felt the success that I have had with Best Paw Forward. From the minute you walk in the trainers are listening to your problems, offering advice, and congratulating your successes! Before we were half way through we signed up for the Rally/Agility Combo class. I look forward to going to class each week and Tally LOVES to learn all kinds of new things. I also really appreciated that Pam and Amy were so conscientious with dogs that were nervous, excited, or reactive by putting up gates but ALWAYS kept those families involved. I saw amazing progress in one dog, who could barely glance at another dog without barking hisa head off. By our last class he could even do meet and greets! I love Best Paw Forward and I'm so excited to continue classes!

Absolutely, hands down, best training. We adopted a dog and we're very nervous about training class, but the teachers are so accommodating and fun! Not only do they do training, but they are very knowledgeable in all things dogs. Claudia was great!
