We had a wonderful experience with getting our binxy boy!! Everything went super smooth and the foster mom was amazing in communication with me! Thanks again for everything!

We rescued our dog from here almost 2 years ago now. The experience was great! She is an awesome dog. We have recommended them to many of our friends and would definitely rescue another dog from here when the time comes.

"Email us otherwise it takes 2, 3 or 4 days to get a call back" what a joke

Foster parent was great. Management was horrible.

I won't even give them a star!!! Was denied. Won't waste my money. It is sad when a person gives everything to a furbaby and told we are not fit...really. I give my babies shelter, plenty of food and water plus a whole bunch of loving!!!!!

Very poor management We wanted to adopt a Chihuahua But they turned us down because they said we abused our dog because we didn't give it heartworm then said we lied to her she shouldn't be in business especially when she was going to give us 2nd chance and didn't 1 star is way too much for this poorly run business we just got a dog from N.E.W Pawsibilities in Oshkosh awesome dog and great place to work with 5 stars thank you N.E.W Pawsibilities in Oshkosh

Worst place ever. I am a responsible and really good dog mom and they turned me down for “lack of best practice vetting” because I couldn’t prove I had gotten Heartgard from other stores and not my vet. The communications I received from this organization were so rude I was shocked. And then conveniently the dog I wanted to adopt was pending shortly after. It’s an appalling way to run a dog rescue and non-profit. I just feel bad for the dogs honestly.

When applying to adopt, the email states that we would receive a decision on approval/denial via email in 10-15 business days. We never got an email or notification that we were approved (it’s only been about a week), but a foster mom contacted us to do a meet and greet with a dog. Dawn stated we “should have known” we were approved based on that. Because we weren’t aware we were approved, we were not prepared to take the puppy home after our meet and greet. We were then denied this dog because we “weren’t eager and excited.” We would have been prepared if your processes were clear. We were planning to get what we needed for the puppy after she left last night and call the foster mom this morning to let her know we were prepared to start the 5 day trial but now the puppy will not be joining our family. Also - To judge if someone is the right fit for a dog based on their excitement level is rude. I’m not one to jump up and down and scream about how cute a dog is in front of strangers but it feels like that is what they wanted to see. Dawn said that she can help us find a dog that makes us that excited but we will be choosing to work with someone else based on this experience. Please work to make your pending approval email more clear so potential families know what to expect.

This is rated ONE star only because it is the LOWEST POSSIBLE. The Organizer/Founder (DAWN) is rude, judgemental, unprofessional, and to my assumption - only in this for the money, not because she cares about dogs. I am in question of how she is even able to run this type of non-profit, or is it??? To be denied a dog due to a debt from 11 years ago that was paid is complete nonsense. Now they are just making things up and coming up with excuses, also makes me wonder if these dogs are real or just photos for donations. Do yourself a favor and check out her background and this organizations reviews before you decide to deal with them. It's a joke!

My friends applied for a dog here after recently experiencing the loss of their 12 year old family dog. They received an email requesting vet records for their late pet- to which they complied. As if the loss of a pet isn’t difficult enough, they then received a judgmental email back questioning the quality of their pet ownership because the records didn’t show the heart worm treatments. They always purchased them at the pet store and obviously didn’t keep 12 years of pet store receipts just to prove this and thus were denied since they didn’t have proof. As an animal lover I can appreciate the intentions of trying to ensure the animal is going to a safe, loving home but they should be aware people can purchase heart worm treatments elsewhere and take that into consideration. As a friend of this family, it’s truly heartbreaking that a dog be denied from a wonderful home over this.

"Our rescue is not a match for you to adopt with." This was told to me ONLY because I didn't have my 14 year old dog on heartworm medication. I asked if I put her on it now if we would be accepted then and I was told our dog would have to be on it for a year. I was disregarded in an instant over something like this?! I am willing to compromise here. I asked for more clarity and I got ignored. This was horrible you guys. They just lost a loving family who lives on land all because of HEARTGUARD?

We rescued our dog through Tailwaggers. The application and screening process is actually very thorough. I was very happy about this. I was asked about other pets, yard size, fence/no fence, family activities, etc. I had a chance to speak to the owner and she told me, "[We] are here for the animal and not the family. We want to make sure we are able to place the right dog with the right family." I was so happy to hear this. We dealt with another rescue and the process was not NEARLY as thorough, and the dog was not a good fit for our family. The dog we rescued from Tailwaggers has been the perfect dog for us. The process is a lot, but SO worth it. We love our Jax and he is perfect.

After submitting my application, I was sent an email asking me to provide additional information: things like the placement schedule I have for my children with their father. Irrelevant, in my opinion, but I shared. I was later “denied” because I do not purchase Hartguard from my vet and they do not provide me a prescription. I instead purchase it from one of many places that do not require a prescription. If that was their conclusion, it could have been decided upon without asking personal, irrelevant information.

Wonderful experience adopting our dog with them

This organization seems to care more for what is easy rather than finding homes for their many dogs. After searching on a third party website I found a puppy I would have loved to spoil who, unfortunately, is being fostered with TW911. I got a response on my application saying I did not live in the correct county; a statement made hidden in a dropdown menu for me to search for. Its bad enough to get my hopes up, even worse to waste my time on an 8 part inquiry process. Disgusting.

I wish 0 stars were possible for this review. We provided them with all the information they needed, and requested them to contact our apartment property manager. They consistently refused to do so, and upon being contacted by our property manager, they wouldn't budge to be considerate. They just made their own sense out of a pet policy, and would not even take the property manager's word for what the policy means. Our experience has been nothing, but horrible with this agency.

If I could give them less stars, I absolutely would.

This rescue is incredible and they do so much to help dogs! The dogs are so blessed to be in foster homes instead of cages while they wait for their forever homes. I adopted a dog from them last year and it was a great experience!

Long, and at times, stressful process, however it’s all about helping the dogs. The volunteer truly go above and beyond to help these animals, many of which start life in absolute horrible conditions. We adopted a great puppy three months ago and she is awesome! I cannot thank 911 enough!
