Dr Walls and her staff at Apple Valley have cared for 6 of my dogs over the last 15 years. Caring, compassionate, friendly, knowledgeable, and they clearly love the work they do. Can't say enough good things about this awesome vet. EDIT 11/3: Sadly, I've had to reduce my review to three stars. We recently had to take one of our dogs to the after hours emergency vet. She was diagnosed with a severe, potentially fatal disease, requiring frequent blood testing (every 24 to 48 hours). They insisted we get her tested at her regular vet within 24 hours. We tried to make an appointment with Apple Valley and were treated as a nuisance. Even after explaining the severity of our dog's condition, the best they could offer was "Sorry, we can't fit you in. Maybe you should take her back to the emergency vet." I understand vets are extremely busy these days, and the woman on the phone complained that she already had two people call out that day, but some level of compassion would have been appreciated, especially considering how long I've been bringing my dogs there. We eventually called another vet that's actually closer to our home. They didn't have any openings, but after I explained the situation, I was told "Be here at 2:00 and we'll find a way to fit her in." She's been back now for several more follow ups and the care she's receiving is top notch. She's out of the woods, and on her way a solid recovery, though she'll still need testing about once a week. I'm really saddened that Apple Valley's service seems to have suffered over the years. I'll always appreciate the care that Dr. Walls gave to my previous pets, but will not be bringing any more to that practice.

Today was the first time I have been on the "client" side of the exam table ???? I had this Best experience. From Jennifer at the front desk, April as my vet assistant and Dr. Kim Arthur as my trusted Veterinarian..my baby and I were taken care of like Family. I was guided through all the vaccines and medications, choosing what I wanted throughout the options. I am extremely Happy with my decision to bring "Baci" to AVAH.

Great staff and really good vets. Recently moved to the area and went to another vet office. Was not impressed, so I'm delighted to have found this team. We have multiple pets and all are getting great care. Thank you

Love, love, loveeee them here!!!! They truly care about the health and well being of all animals there's never been a feeling of OOOPS WHY AM I HERE?!!!! Great Vets, great staff, we as a family fully trust them still after 17 yrs!!!!! Highly, highly recommend if you can budget for them it is expensive but well worth it!!!!!!

They took great care of my 18 year old dog. Made sure she didn't suffer in her last days.

They have seen us through the care of 5 ferrets, 2 dogs, 1 cat 3 rats and 2 rabbits so far. They are good and knowledgeable people, very compassionate. I am very glad to have found them

I have been a 20 year customer at AVAH. Something has changed w/i the last year or so: My pets and I have been treated like just another walk-in. More specifically, there is no follow-up on tests that get ordered or just left to go UN-processed. My best friend of 12 years was diagnosed w/ leukemia. Blood test were ordered but results went un-acted upon or just plain unread. No followup for over a week. My best friend died 10 days later w/o even a call to see how he was doing. This poor practice happened again with my elderly cat. Blood was drawn but ordered tests for Hyperthyroidism never got requested/sent to the Lab. After a week I called and was informed they didn't follow thru with the required tests. Now the practice seems to just want to upsell all their products to squeeze as much $$$ from each visit. I recommend you go to another Vet Office.

Very wonderful place to take your pet

Marietta and her crew have always taken great care of our pets. They show them affection and take their time treating them. They always follow up to see how our pets are doing after their visits. Would not go any where else other than Apple Valley Animal Hospital or Winchester Animal Hospital.

Never sent information to our vet, even after multiple requests. Over priced and didn't provide us with any good advice.

Dr. Shaffer was wonderful and the staff were so kind! They provided great care and explained what necessary vaccinations were needed and the reasons they were important for my pet to have. Definitely a fantastic first impression!

Wonderful! Wonderful! Got an apointment right away. My baby boy Biscuit had developed allergies. Bad feet and infected ear. Less than 24 hours and he is already better. Has Rxs to clear up infection and med in his ear while there and have changed his diet! No more store bought food for my dogs! I will cook their meats and chose the fruits and veggies to add as well. Advice of the doc! Great Doc! Great staff! Very Very Affordable too!! Heaven sent animal lovers! Thank you all so much! See you again in 2 weeks! Picture of his ear and you can see it had gotten bad. Quick! This is what "dog food" did!
