I thought I lost my baby already, the day we went to VCA but Dr Moore gave her the care and attention she needed and she’s back home now, breathing better and no longer suffering from palpitations. We owe Dr Moore and VCA Lexie’s second chance.

VCA Valley is INCREDIBLE. I've been taking my cats there for 3 years. All of the vets are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. All of the staff are loving and compassionate. And they are *efficient* at getting things done and clearly care a lot about the pets they see (and their humans)

Huge thank you to Dr. Perry and VCA staff for the wonderful care given to my pup. He was recently neutered and sustained a complication (that’s quite typical for his age). VCA went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. They truly provided a level of care that I feel they would want for their own animals. Best Vet in town!

Takes great care of animals. Bit excessive with upselling but they need to max revenue I'm sure.

We have worked with a few different doctors at this practice but our favorite is Dr Mannebach, who is absolutely wonderful! Our dog loves him and he does a wonderful job. He genuinely cares for the animals, clearly communicates options and thoroughly explains what is going on. We have had a few instances where we needed our pup to be seen urgently and this practice has always fit us in. Everyone is friendly and we always have pleasant experiences. I would HIGHLY recommend this practice to anyone!

Dr. Perry at VCA was incredibly kind and comforting during the hard situation we had with my cat passing away. I will definitely bring my other pets back to see Dr. Perry because I know she will love them just as much as I do. Thank you, Dr. Perry and VCA, for taking care of my sweet boy, Niles!

I tried several veterinary clinics in Roanoke, but when I found Valley Animal Hospital I was hooked. With three dogs, all with various medical issues, the clinic joked that if they had frequent flier miles I'd have several free trips by now. I was in there a lot. From their greeter BJ, to the front desk staff and doctors / techs... management/admin everyone I met or talked to was not only lovely, they learned about all our pets and were so friendly, personal and professional in our interactions. We had one of our larger medical issues with one dog about six months after moving to Roanoke and it wasn't easy to diagnose. They were so thorough, cross checking with VA Tech even to ensure that they were correct. It meant the world to us. We have moved on to CO now, but we miss everyone there!!! *Pepper, Angie and Jerry Lee say HI* Tiny Miss Pepper misses coming in and getting to be spoiled by everyone. Thank you for everything!

I absolutely love the vets there and recommend them based on that. Dr. Salmon is super awesome, friendly, and always explains what's going on in detail. The first time I had to bring one of my cats in for her vaccines they took her in the back and it took a few minutes. When they brought her back in the room they apologized it took a bit longer because everyone wanted to pet her because she was so fluffy, it was really sweet they said that. Some of the other staff I've had issues with though. My cat needed a dental cleaning and I dropped her off in the morning (Dr. Salmon, again awesome, called right after my cat was done). The first time I went there since the pandemic the staff was awesome, they came up to my car, asked if they could open the door and were super polite and wonderful. When I took my cat in for surgery this person just opens my door, grabs my cat, and when I asked if I could give her a pet goodbye she said "it'll be fine" then slams my door. I was told about when she would be done and no one called so I did. They said she'd be ready in 10 minutes; when I actually get there they said it would be a few minutes, fine it's busy. So after about 10 minutes they call and say they'll be right out. This happened 3 times and I ended up waiting outside for nearly an hour. If you're going to be an hour just tell me instead of calling every 10 minutes saying you're coming right out. I'm disabled, sitting in a car is excruciating for me and a heads up would have been nice. So finally when my cat is ready I tell them I'm literally right out front a couple of cars towards Williamson, the same person from the morning looks over and goes in the opposite direction around the building. It's pouring rain, my cat's in her carrier getting soaking wet, hasn't eaten since midnight before (it's 5 pm at this point) and this lady (same one from the morning) opens the door and tries to put my cat in the backseat where I can't strap her in with a seatbelt. It's raining, people drive like idiots here, I don't need my cat flying around in the backseat in a wet, plastic carrier on leather seats after surgery when I can hold her in the passenger seat. When I take her home she was literally wet all over and cold from being dragged around in the rain. Plus she was absolutely starving and ate 2 packages of wet food within 10 minutes. But seriously, if I'm going to be waiting awhile just tell me instead of playing this idiotic game of calling every 10 minutes saying you'll be right out. Also don't shove animals that have just had surgery in the back of cars with leather seats so they can slide around all over.

We had an incredible experience at VCA! We've boarded our dogs here for a few years now. In between vets right now,, so we chose to use them to examine our wire-haired dachshund who had some sudden mobility issues. Called yesterday and Friday was booked, but they still managed to not only get us in Saturday, but it was fast, super friendly, and very affordable! Bless them for taking such wonderful care of our babies! I believe we've found our new vet!
