They were conveniently able to take my call and meet me promptly at their office on a Sunday early morning. I needed that sort of quality service after our poor elderly cat passed the night before. Their availability was well worth the extra drive to see them. They were easy to work with and very kind.

Dr. Tammi came the same day when we finally made the agonizing decision to put our Otto to sleep. She was so compassionate and caring, answered all our questions and assured us that we were making the right decision. She was super gentle with him during the process and even when she transported him to her car. She does such a valuable service for suffering pet owners with such compassion and dignity

Dr. Tami was compassionate & a breath of fresh air. I am glad a service like this exists so my kitty didn't have to be stressed out when it was her time to go. Thank you for your kindness.

The veterinarian was very professional. She explained the process and allowed me to spend as much time with my pet as needed. My pets ashes were returned within a week. Overall very good experience given the circumstances. I highly recommend.

I want to thank Pgh Pets At Home, particularly Dr. Tammy Padgelek, for the difficult, but necessary service she provided to me and my French Bulldog, J-Jay, on Sunday, September 5, 2021. Facing a very fast, aggressive hemangiosarcoma, I had made previous arrangements to take him in to my vet on Tuesday for euthanasia. By late Saturday, early Sunday morning however, I noticed Jay begin to falter. I was terrified of a painful, sudden event at home, and I knew we wouldn’t last until Tuesday. Dr. Padgelek returned my call on Sunday afternoon and stated that she was able to come over later that day. Anyone who has been through this knows how devastating it is, and nothing can change that..but I was given the opportunity to hold my dog and and let him pass with grace, and without pain or fear. Thank you, Tammy, for being there, holding him, comforting him, and helping me to let him go. You were wonderful.

Dr. Tami's service made such a difficult time more bearable. We loved our dog Daisy very much, and thanks to Dr. Tami, we were able to make her last moments comfortable and peaceful in own home. We are grateful she was able to come so quickly, and we are thankful for her kind, compassionate, and professional demeanor.

Dr. Tami is the absolute BEST! Our Maxine was so sick and it was sadly her time. My fiancé & I were inconsolable and were having such a hard time with the decision. We knew it was time to make this hard decision for our cat after she had stopped eating and was diagnosed with cancer. Dr. Padgelek came to our home the day after I called (and would have came the same day if we wanted). She was so kind and gentle with our cat, V, and with us. She reassured us that we were making the right decision with how sick V was. I was able to hold V in my lap on our couch the whole time. She wasn’t scared or stressed. The whole process was very peaceful. I’m so glad we chose to spend a bit more money to have this done at home as opposed to loading her up in a carrier and taking her into an exam room. Dr. Padgelek made an imprint of V’s little paw in clay for us, which was really special. We are incredibly grateful for her kindness and care.

Dr. Tami responded to me very quickly, she was here the next day. Our Lucy was deathly afraid of the car, and I didn't want that to be her last experience. It was so peaceful , so emotional. I highly recommend her. 5 stars isn't enough.

I have to thank all things good that Dr. Tami was available during my time of need for my little, kitty baby Koneko (15years) to be put to rest. I've called everywhere, and everyone else was booked on the weekend, and I was very fortunate, and grateful she had the time. She was amazing through and through, and it was really quick, and peaceful for Koneko despite he had a little spit up in the end after the process (digestive issues) but I assured Dr. Tami (because she felt bad) that he was always a messy kitty, so no worries. He is finally at peace, and that is all that matters. I would recommend Pittsburgh Pets At Home to everyone. Thank you, Dr. Tami.

Dr. Tami was amazing at one of the most difficult times in our life. She returned my call immediately. She listened with compassion and professionalism. She answered all of our questions and gave us time to decide. She was flexible and able to come on a Sunday evening. She came to our home and allowed us the time that we needed, without pressure, to say good bye. We were able to hold our sweet Jack until the very end. We highly recommend Dr Tami and her services. We requested to have our our boy cremated. She also offers this service. Our beloved fur baby remains in her care until his ashes are returned. This was important to us! Her services are a blessing/

This past week I had to make the sad decision to put my 16 year old cat to sleep, as she reached the end stage of renal failure and her quality of life was rapidly declining. The only part I couldn't bear was the thought of putting her through one more stressful car ride to our veterinarian's office, so I reached out to PGH Pets at Home and spoke with Dr. Tami. She was already out at appointments that day, but was able to accommodate us for later the same day. She was professional and compassionate, and able to answer all of my questions and walk us through every step of the process. With her help, my kitty was able to slip away quietly while nestled in my lap, finally free of the pain and suffering that she had no doubt been enduring for weeks by that point. I cannot recommend this service enough. Thank you, Dr. Tami, for helping us give our girl a loving and peaceful sendoff.

Dr. Tami was very compassionate and professional during this difficult time when I had to say goodbye to my cat. She came the same day I called and made the experience as peaceful and pleasant as possible. He peacefully died in my arms, stress free. This is a much better alternative than taking your pet somewhere to be put to sleep, its much less stressful for your loved one.

Dr. Tami was incredible - she is empathetic, flexible and professional. She managed to counsel us through a very difficult time, and make something awful go as best as we could have hoped for. For moments such as these you want someone there who There are moments such in life where it feels as though you will never recover from and one of those moments is when you have put down your beloved pet. When you and your loved ones have to decide that the most loving thing to do is to end your beloved pet’s life and you want to decide to do that in a place where your pet felt the most love, that is when you need Dr. Tami to come to your pet, in your home. I cannot thank her enough for making the whole process a very touching, loving way to say goodbye to our Skip. She was very calm and understand our need to cry, hold him after he was gone and she listened to our best stories about Skip. We in no way through out this difficult time every rushed by Dr. Tami. She handled every detail of our beloved Skip’s passing with empathy while being a true professional. She even brought my Skip’s ashes to my home tonight. I really don’t think I could have picked them up, just holding them brought me to tears. Thank God. We found this Vet to come to our home on a Saturday. Our collie was up in age and his hips were shot. He couldn't get up he was suffering. Didn't want to wait until Monday and have to get him into the car and out again to get him to our vet it would have been more stressful for him. Having him put to sleep in his home was a bit of comfort for us plus our best friend Buddy. God bless her.

Dr. Tami's service is a blessing. My baby boy Boris was the love of my life. I couldn't imagine taking him in to the vet's office to have his final moments be filled with anxiety (he always hated the vet's office). There were too many bad days between the good ones, the good days were less and less good, and the smile had left his eyes. I sent her an email and she came the very next day and performed her tasks gently and quietly after letting us know the steps she would be taking. We had taken him for a truck ride, and Wendy's and ice cream. He was already sleepy from the outing by the time she arrived to our picnic blanket in the back yard. We held him and kissed him and told him we loved him as he passed on. His head was soaked with our tears. She took his body and returned his cremated remains personally to our door. There will never be another Boris, we were so lucky. Thank you Dr. Tami for your beautiful service. I know it's not an easy job, but we so appreciate you and what you do.
