amazing facility, Amy Richards the Foster Coordinator is beyond kind, helpful and attentive. Truly cares about the animals, responds quickly to answer questions or concerns. I am SO pleased with our experience and wish i could help and adopt all the animals!

We came to the beautiful brand new shelter in Leesburg for empty the shelter day. And we found a 11 year-old orange tabby named old man and he decided he'd come home with us today! The new shelter is very well designed with very nice areas for the different types of pets

Someone captured a possum and just dumped them on the side of the road (next to a field) to die in a cage. Thank you to Loudoun animal control for promptly freeing this harmless animal.

This place is really nice, clean, and staff is wonderful.

We adopted a sweet doggie from the Leesburg facility last weekend. What a wonderful experience! The team was so helpful and knowledgeable — from helping our new doggie get to know our other dog, to explaining her “issues” in a way we could understand and manage, to providing free resources to help us succeed. And the fact that she came to us neutered, in good health and current on all of her shots for only $150 is just amazing. The Leesburg facility is immaculate and the animals look so well cared for. Great job LCAS!

Clean well maintained shelter. Have had two wonderful dogs from here and three chickens. No problems at all will helping to get these pets home. They were more then helpful with tips equipment food and other supplies to make sure your pet was ok when arriving to its new home.

This place is wonderful. I love their new place. It's clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I'd differently recommend them to anyone looking for a new fur baby.

Unbelievable facility. We are do blessed to have this incredible, brand new, comprehensive place for our furry friends to go before they are adopted. Worth an hour or two just for the family to visit here!

We took the kids to the new location in Leesburg for their grand opening since they had quite a bit of activities going on during the weekend. We ended up walking out with a new kitten. ???? The staff was amazing and very organized with all the background paperwork. The location is laid out well and has areas for all types of pets.

We adopted our beloved Zoe 13 years ago. One of the best days of our life. Today we have adopted Eddie, even though it has only been a few hours, he is truly A little blessing!!!

I am so very impressed! We have never gotten a fur baby from the shelter. They have all been from friends or family who had fur babies that had a litter. This experience was so wonderful! We looked online at the babies they had and decided to call about one in particular. Jackie answered our call and went through all of this babies history. Everything she had been treated for and was still being treated for. Our family travels alot with my work, so I explained what our family dynamic is and that I didn't feel this fur baby was right for us, since we won't be near our primary vet most of the time. She agreed and told me about 2 babies that she thought would work well for us. We made our way to the shelter and when we got there, one of them had already been adopted, so we went in to see the other. He didn't seem very interested in us. But there was another one, that was waiting at his door with anticipation for us to come love on him. We fell in love immediately! He is an adult and has taken a little time getting used to us. We think he still remembers his other owners and maybe doesn't fully trust us yet. Like maybe we are going to leave him too. But every day he gets a little closer to us. Especially our children. He absolutely adores them. He has been the perfect addition to our family! Thank you for all of you help finding our new fur baby Loudoun County friends.

A friend of mine found a lost dog attempting to cross a busy highway in loudoun county. He stopped his car and started trying to get the pup safely off the highway and into his vehicle, after some time he was successful! He then proceeded to take the dog to the Loudoun County Animal shelter and soon realized that the original owners of the dog just let the poor animal loose to fend for itself. Instead of putting the dog up for adoption and giving a deserving and loving family the opportunity to give that pup a forever home, they euthanized him. After they assured my friend that they would do a complete evaluation to determine adoption eligibility and they did none of what they promised. He was the sweetest dog and he was genuinely terrified when he was found but did exactly what he was told on command and was not aggressive in the least. He could have made a family very happy.
