Dr Conway and the ladies at the front desk are AMAZING. Dr C is extremely caring and honest. The ladies have always been extremely welcoming and happy. The only downfall to the office is Eric (front desk) - He could definitely use some lessons in professional communication. He always speaks as though he is extremely ’bothered’ by having to actually talk to a paying customer. His tone is condensing every single time.

Came here for an emergency visit, Dr. Robbins is the most caring vet we have seen! He took the time to listen to our concerns, our dog’s behavior, and make an informed diagnosis! Best vet in NOVA and surrounding areas!

Dr. Henneke is a wonderful veternarian! He is very professional and super kind! He gave us all the options for how to go about our situation and he did not force us to do any certain one. Will request him again for future appointments!

Great Vet! Dr. Conway is AMAZING! My dog Charlie and Maya have had several scares within the last two years and I have had to contact her after hours and god bless Dr. Conway, she is always there to answer my calls be of help, guide me and help me make the best decision for my dogs. Highly recommend Catoctin Vet as your Vet if you want Vets that actually care about your animals wellbeing and that is all that I am concerned about. Thank you Catoctin and Dr. Conway for being a great support and vet for my Char boy and my Sweet Girls health!

We have been coming here for over a year. Highly recommend: 10/10. Excellent service across the board (reception, vet techs, and docs). They did a phenomenal job of adapting during the pandemic by implementing curbside drop off/pickup. Now that they’re back to in-person visits you’ll really get to see the passion the staff have for the animals. Shout out to Dr. Conway who is exceedingly personable, and genuine. She’s very thorough and gets down on the ground w the pups. Takes the time to address all concerns. Again, highly recommend.

The doctors and nurses lack proper bedside manner with dogs. They man handle them and treat them like they are objects. Small basic things are fine but when you need them to do more sensitive and involved care it is just not the place.

We came to Catoctin Vetrinary Clinic to get pain relief for my older dog Lacy who's 12 1/2. Dr. Geier used acupuncture & chiropractic adjustments and it has given her a new lease on life. Lacy went from being stiff & unable to run or be her usual frisky self to romping on the beach & being perky & energetic this weekend. Thank you Dr. Geier & your wonderful staff for helping her! We'll see you again soon!

Dr Robbin and staff have been serving our family for over 20 years. I've had dogs all my life and I am constantly amazed at the knowledge and care the team provides. From the above normal knowledge and care taken during the visits to the follow up calls checking in on a sick pet. They always seem to make time to call back if you have further questions or concerns about something. Overall one of the best practices i have ever delft with.

I have been going to Catoctin for about 2 years now, and I will drive 40 minutes each way just to see Dr. Robbins. Not only has he been the best vet I’ve ever had (I’ve tried over 10 in 5 years), their entire practice is extremely transparent about prices, spending, etc, every step of the way, so you never feel you’re getting a huge surprise bill at the end. I will be so sad to leave him once I move, that’s how much I love him as a vet!

We were first time patients of Catoctin vet and we took our pup to see Dr. Conway a few times before his neutering. She always seems rushed and really scatter brained but I blamed it on the pandemic and let those unsatisfactory experiences slide. What I can’t get over is how we were treated after he was neutered. They sent us home with a cone that was still wrapped in its original packaging and not on our pup. It didn’t phase me too much at the time because we had purchased a round soft cone on Amazon that was intended to serve the same purpose- but be more comfortable ( I never disclosed having my own cone to them, though). I put the soft cone from Amazon around his neck and we went home. It wasn’t until we got home that we realized that the device we got from Amazon didn’t really serve his purpose so we put the vet supplied cone on. When we woke up the next morning we noticed that his incision was really red and looked worse than it did the night before. This occurred on a Sunday, hence their office was closed so since it didn’t look infected we just kept an eye on it for the remainder. By day end it began to look less “annoyed”. The next morning we woke up to see the site red and inflamed again but much worse than the night before. I called Catoctin and spoke to the receptionist. I explained the situation and asked if I should send in a picture for the doctor to look at. He proceeded to tell me that I could but that but he didn’t know when Dr. Conway would be able to look at it because she had appointments every 15 minutes and didn’t know when she would be back at her desk. I asked if another doctor could look and his response was: I don’t know - they’re all busy. My response: Ok so should I bring him in? His response : we don’t have anything until Wednesday. At this point I was just done and I knew if I didn’t get off the phone with him I would say things I would probably end up regretting so I told him I’d send the picture and wait for their call. A few hours later and no response, I called back to follow up. I then spoke to a vet tech who was nice enough to actually give me some reassurance and tell me that it looked OK but that she would ask Dr. Conway to give me a call back. The tech called me back and said that Dr Conway said everything looks fine and to keep the cone on him at all times (which we had already been doing anyways). The next day we wake up to same scenario except this time there was also a bruise off to the side of the incision. I sent a picture via email and called to make sure they received & explain my concern about the bruise. The receptionist said she’d show the dr and call me back. The receptionist called back a few moments later reiterating the same thing about keeping the cone on at all times because it looked like he had gotten to his incision. I explained that we have had the cone on him at all times and my concern was the bruise. The receptionist’s response was “I don’t know that’s just what Dr Conway said.” So I asked if I had any reason to be concerned about an infection or internal bleeding. I could hear the receptionist telling Dr. Conway this situation and then I hear Dr. Conway yell “NO”. I was so upset about this interaction I just hung up. I took my pup to an emergency vet and they told me that the cone they gave us wasn’t big enough and that’s why he able to get to the incision at night. Had they bothered to check if the cone given was of the proper length to provide the protection needed this couldn’t all been avoided. What really gets me is that she performed a surgical procedure on my dog but can’t take the time to even talk to me even though I’ve been calling with questions for two days? I am honestly so disgusted by this place that I didn’t, nor do I want to, even contact them to ask for a reimbursement for the emergency visit. At the end of the day the only thing that matters is that my puppy is OK. And my reason for posting this is to warn others so they don’t have to deal with what I went through.

Dr. Robbins and his team have always been there for our dogs. Yesterday was no exception. Despite being booked solid he found time to check our newest pup and saved her life (and kept that pup's parents from losing their minds in the process).

My family and our pets love this place. All of the doctors are amazing and provide the best care to our animals. Prices aren't bad at all (~$60 for an exam fee) and the turn around times for appointmenta are great. Even since our family moved to Hamilton, I gladly drive the extra 10 minutes to Leesburg just for the continuity of care from Dr. Henneke and the rest of the team.

This place has helped to make our pup’s life happy and healthy from day one. For the past eleven years they have been awesome thru routine checkups to major surgery, us and our dog Tonka have always felt like we were their number one priority when we were there. Dr. Robbins and his team are the like family and we highly recommend putting your trust in them to take care of your pets needs.

Amazing vet. After going to all Banfield locations and none of them being able to trim my dog's nails.... This place took care of it without doubts or questions. Amazing service and they seem to really care about pets.
