I have taken my dog there for years, and Samantha does a fabulous job with my 13 y/o Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier! I highly recommend her. She loves dogs, understands them and does a great job!

Pawsville Pet Spa was recommended to us by our trusted dog friend/pet sitter. I was looking for an excellent poodle groomer & not in a commercial or kennel facility. Those settings are too traumatic for our ‘kids’ & me! I have high expectations to get that perfect poodle ‘field’ clip. I expect really clean ears & glands, properly clipped muzzle, tail dock, nails & between paw pads...no nicks! Last but not least, an actual ‘poodle’ scissor-cut head & tail. Like I said, I’m a tough critic! Well, Pawsville did it! Her private, convenient location is quieter & parking is easy, right in front of the Spa door! The place was clean, simple, professional. She did exactly what I expected & the dogs were not traumatized! As for cash or check only, not a problem. We’ll definitely be back????????

My sister is an amazing groomer and she is the only one I will let groom my pets.

Cash or check only. Easy parking. Samantha takes good care of our dear old, deaf, blind cockapoo. Small salon, personalized service.

Small salon but very friendly. I actually prefer the smaller size. I felt I received more personalized service. I also can park right in front of the door which makes it easier for a mom of several small children. She cut our dog perfectly and he did not seem too stressed by his experience at the groomers. Our dog is a bit nervous about everything and he seemed his normal self when I picked him up. The price was competitive with other dog grooming in Charlottesville.

I don't usually give poor ratings, I haven't had very many bad experiences but I've had the worst, most awful experience here. My Bischon left The Pawville Spa looking like a sheared sheep. Seriously. There was nothing about the grooming that resembled a Bischon grooming. But the very worst is that my little girl, about 3-4 hours later had a bump above her left eye swollen enough she could only partially open her eye. After crying for hours, cuddling her, applying ice, by morning I called my Vet and took her in. I've cried so much, but it's my little fur baby that went thru the trauma and pain. I paid $60.00 for a grooming that must have been by someone not familiar with a Bischon cut, her hair will grow out but the pain and trauma of "whatever happened to my girl"is not forgivable. My vet bill was $170.00. I gave the rating of 1 because there wasn't a choice of a negative number. Should have seen the first red flag when I asked if she wouldn't like to see my dogs immunization records and she said " no, that's not necessary".

Great local small business! I take my Kasha there for bath time. Always very friendly and accommodating. My only complaint is they don't take Credit Cards. So just bring cash, its worth it.

I took my standard poodle in for bath and cut but it was a botched job to say the least, she had thinned her hair down so bad that she leaves hair every were she goes and instead of brushing her she cut her in spots and I pay good money to get them brushed but since moveing over on this side of the mountain I have had my poodle at every groomer in Charlottesville and it's not one that knows how to do a poodle it's insane

I took my yorkie to this groomer when they first opened because the usual groomer wasn’t available at that time. The person who cut my yorkie’s hair wasn’t careful enough when the little one kept trying to give them kisses. While cutting the hair around her mouth, she cut a piece of her tongue off. You can see it when she sticks her tongue out and people ask me what happened even today. Oh and I still had to pay full price and don’t remember ever receiving a sincere apology. Nothing about the owners personally and I’m not saying this kind of stuff happens there all the time, but I’m never taking my dog there again. If you have a groomer who you love and never had issues with, stick with them even if you have to wait longer to get an appointment. Don’t switch to a new one because anything can happen. Just be careful.

Samantha has been taking care of our dogs for 10 + years. She is a consummate professional and our dogs love her. All our dogs are special needs dogs - rescues. We trust Samantha and more importantly our dogs trust her too.

Samantha is amazing at what she does! We have been taking our poodle for grooming to her since he was a puppy. We have tried other groomers in town and are never as pleased as we are with Samantha at Pawville. She listens to how we want our dog cut and he always looks so cute! Plus her prices are reasonable, she is super sweet, and her location is convenient!

Took my Golden Retriever to Samantha today for a haircut, bath, and nail trimming. The haircut is horrible. Missed patches, down to skin in patches, no fade, among others. I could have done the same job and saved money... Oh, they only take cash or check too.
