The team at Cascade Summit led by Dr Ortner are beyond wonderful and went above and beyond to treat our dog who needed urgent medical support. I cannot say enough about their love and care not only for our pet but for us. Thanks to their care, clear instructions (even after hours) and diagnosis we are well on the way to recovery. All this with a dog who also has a heart murmur to add to complications. Thank you!

I've been taking my cat there for 2 years now, and I love this place! They are so welcoming, kind, and knowledgeable! They repond to calls asap, and when they say they will call you back, they will. And they even give you a courtesy call a day or two after the visit to make sure everything is going fine! They are on the spendy side, but when it comes to vets, you get what you pay for, and you really do with this place!!

I recently switched over from another vet in the Portland area after being upset with the service I was provided. My wife and I both left our first visit with Cascade impressed and grateful for their services and communication. Our pup's itchy ears were quickly resolved and addressed with care. We received a follow up call the next day and we are happy we made the switch.

I recently got a puppy and had no vet, got referred to Cascade Summit by a friend, and they got me in right away. After the initial exam, I had a 1000 questions to ask the vet. And she took the time to answer all of them, even though most of them probably could have been Googled. Additionally, the Vet Techs love my puppy and they make my puppy's day every time she goes there.

When your beloved pet is sick and hurting, you want someone who wants to see them better and comforted as much as you do. The team at Cascade Summit fit us in same-day because they “couldn’t stand knowing a pup was in such pain.” They expertly assessed him, soothed him (and me), and gave us medication to make it better. Can’t recommend them more!

I received the following public attack from Christine Ortner, DVM on Facebook after she read about a bad euthanasia experience I had that I shared with another veterinarian. "vets are constantly judged on price. Have you ever complained about a vet bill? If you have, then shame on you for forcing vets into a corner to avoid a negative online review. As pet owners, don’t criticize prices or price shop. You get what you pay for. I’ve had clients complain to me about the price of euthanasia appointments. I do it the way I feel is best for the patient which involves sedatives and a slower step by step procedure. If you want cheap with just straight euthanasia solution then go to the shelter or be willing to pay for the process. Every euthanasia is tough on a veterinarian. Facing complaints about the fee is soul crushing." Attacking and victim blaming is beyond shameful and downright unprofessional. This person has no business working with animals or their human parents.

Professional, caring and compassionate vet clinic. We rescued a german shepard puppy with multiple health issues, and Cascade Summit helped us get them all under control, including finding the special diet food and a surgery. Thank you!

We switched vets when we got a new puppy and this office is so amazing and such a better experience than we had in the past. The staff provides excellent customer service and they all seem so happy to be there, from the girls at the front desk to the vet techs, everyone is friendly. Dr. Ortner has been amazing, she doesn’t seem rushed and really takes her time to make you and your pet comfortable. She even called after hours with some test results to put our minds at ease. One of my favorite things is that you can text them and get a text response back. Really makes things efficient! ???? Cora loves them and their squeeze cheese!

Every time I have come here, the staff and the vets have been nothing but kind to myself and my dogs. The vets are nice and explain everything to you and take the time to make sure you and your pet’s are ok. At so many other clinics, the front desk staff has been rude and acted like it was a problem to even call but that has never been the situation here. After having searched for a vet since moving here, I am so happy to have found this clinic. They offer naturopathic services as well as regular vet services! A great experience every time we have come here!

All of the staff was polite and helpful. There was a genuine level of care and concern for my dogs health and my understanding of her health. The follow through is excellent.

Cascade Animal Hospital in West Linn is top notch in EVERY way! Our 6-year-old golden retriever was not eating and super lethargic NOT herself at all. I had already called her regular vet and also an emergency vet, but neither could see her. I called Cascade Summit, and they got her in right away! From my initial phone call with the receptionist, to the practitioner who greeted us when we first arrived, to the vet's (Dr. DeSau's) assessment, to finally the med tech who explained how to administer her medication EVERYONE was excellent at their job and took such good care of our girl, Nike. In addition, the follow-up call from Dr. Godwin the next day was extremely thorough. She answered my questions and took the time to explain Nike's test results as well as next steps for her care. My experience was so wonderful, that I plan to move Nike's care to Cascade Summit~and that is after 5.5 years of seeing her previous vet whom I really liked! Thank you to EVERYONE! We are so grateful for your compassion and excellent care of our girl, Nike.

Our newest addition to our family is Jaxon. He loved his visit and especially all the love, attention and yummy treats! Staff are loving, caring and professional! The visit was superb and couldn't have been better, well if only Tiffani was there the day we visited:) Thank you!

We have been taking our German Shepherd to Cascade Animal Hospital for over 3 years since she was 8 weeks old. We have had wonderful service from a super caring staff. We have also had some difficult health issues to deal with and they have given our pet expert care. When we first began going to Cascade they gave us information about an excellent pet insurance and we are so grateful they did. That insurance has not only saved us thousands of dollars, but also given peace of mind in knowing we can afford to give our dear pet the care she needs without looking at the dollar sign and worrying whether we can afford what needs to be done. Unfortunately, as with people, there is no way to know whether our pets will have health issues or not when they become part of our family. We can't thank them enough!

I have nothing but great things to say about this awesome place. They got my very ill little dog in immediately when I was super worried about her. I had tried several other vets around town and no one would see her. Everyone who works here is super sweet and caring. My dogs are my children and I don’t trust them with just anyone. I have been recommending Cascade Summit Animal Hospital to everyone I know. They are amazing!

We recently had our first visit with cascade summit animal hospital and was very satisfied. Olivia was able to squeeze us in for an emergency same day visit and made our dog Nash feel like the prince he is ;) thank you Olivia and cascade for helping Nash the big scaredy-cat through his vet visit!

Our family dog is very ill and at the end of the road a very terrible time to say the least. I have witnessed frankly the worst side of humanity during this period with a few different Veternary professionals. I was given a referral to cascade from another vet probably in itself as high a compliment as one can get. I called them and was treated with compassion and understanding right away and they made it possible to get immediate help for us. When we went in the vet tech was sensitive and kind and engaging even though it was a heightened moment. Doctor Ortner was a very wonderful person that I could tell immediately was an advocate for the dog she was thorough about grasping the situation and didn’t cut corners to herd us through she picked up on a couple of issues with medication that had fallen through the cracks with several doctors and their assistants over a year and a half of appointments and emergency care facilities. I am extremely confident that anyone wanting excellent care for their pets should go to Cascade absolutely. And I was even surprised by the bill I was expecting a large bill for the service I received and was pleasantly surprised by a bill that was honestly one of the smaller ones I have gotten I will be only seeing them and Dr. Ortner exclusively going forward. Awesome awesome awesome

Cascade Summit has been so amazing to us and our puppy. Everyone is so sweet and our puppy actually loves going there and seeing the girls. You can see that they truly care about the well being of every animal that comes in and what I appreciate the most besides there amazing help in making our puppy feel better, is they contact you and check up the next day to see how your pet is doing! That extra step they take shows you they truly care. I highly recommend Cascade Summit you won't regret them for your fur baby.

Got a 6 month old rescue dog and needed a vet! They took good care of her- asked questions ahead of time and We were able to isolate her outside as she had kennel cough. Later learned she had parasites too. Under weight as well. The clinic had medicine and food for her. They even called the next day to check on her.

It’s a great option if you are into a more natural approach rather than harmful medications.

Cascade is very personable and kind ...Northwest Animal Allergy and Dermatology..is sharing space with cascade summit...that is where I went.. for my pitties skin condition...Love Dr Teresa Demanuelle...and her side kick Samantha....they have helped and cared for my dogs skin...He is healing...so much to learn about ...

They have taken excellent care of our older dog and patiently answered all our first-time pet-owner questions.
