Frontier Veterinary Hospital Hillsboro, Washington

My partner and I are new puppy owners, and we brought her into Frontier Veterinary Hospital after recommendations from family friends. I was so impressed! Check-in was easy, and the sectioned off "waiting rooms" are awesome. Loved being able to pay on the spot in the exam room, too! There's even an exit door on the side of the building so you don't have to pass by other patients in the lobby. Dr. Sheryl was knowledgeable, helpful, and great with our little one. She didn't force (immunizations, medications, etc.) anything onto us which was so appreciated. She discussed different options with us and was more than happy to answer any questions we had. So happy we chose Frontier for our puppy's care!

Had an urgent need for my Pup. He had an issue with one of his toe pads. The online scheduling system only had dates for over a month away.. that's a long time for a dog to be on a sore foot. I gave them.a call and they were able to squeeze me in with their already overloaded day. All the ladies that helped us from check in to check out were amazing!. Super friendly, very good at explaining what and why, and treated him with the utmost care. (He can be a bit of a handful, and doesn't like his feet messed with). The prescribed him some meds, and did some blood work, and had us out in no time! He is already back to his regular self and seems much much happier!. Good job Frontier Veterinary Hospital. You guys are true professionals and actual care about the pets that come to see you. Thank you!

Vet services are top notch. Very knowledgeable and professional staff. Once you are a client (or rather you pet is), gettting in for emergencies is a breeze. We will keep going here for all our dog’s vet needs.

Our regular vet was non responsive and unable to get my baby in for her emergency. We called Frontier and they gave us an appointment that day. Even as a new client. They were able to take care of her issue ( same day) and very thorough, kind, and genuinely concerned with what was going on. We will now be taking all of our pets here as we got extremely great care from the moment we walked in , til the moment we left. Thank you all for taking care of my sweet girl, Cujo. ????????‍????????

Better with the animals than the owners but that's how I like it.

Please don't send your fur babies to this clinic. Dirty, unprofessional, and understaffed. Your pet will suffer. No compassion or care. Cornell Veterinary is where you should take your babies.

Called them a week ago left a message and still have not received a call back. Was wanting to check them out as a potentially new vet for my babies, this doesn't instill confidence in them

We had a horrible experience at another vet and couldn't get an appointment anywhere outside of a month... called Frontier and they got us in the same day and gave my Saint Bernard the service she needed! We immediately dropped out old vet and now all of our dogs will be seen here!! Great staff and service. Couldn't be happier nor could our dogs Thank you

**Nov 2021** Excellent communication. Thorough up front analysis of my pet's issue. Friendly, knowledgeable staff throughout. Excellent experience with Dr. Rejba. She was very caring towards my pet, addressed all of my concerns. **Jan 2021** Downgrading review due to degradation of service. Recently found staff to be more rude than helpful. They seem to get annoyed when you ask questions. This is not a cheap place and i was willing to pay the difference because of the vets and technicians. I am not sure if it is the increased volume of clients or what has changed but it seems prices go up and quality of care and caring service goes down. Very disappointed. **Feb 2020** I really appreciate the staff here. They are knowledgeable, helpful and make it clear that they are pet people. Everyone from the front desk to the vets are amazing. The vets take time to listen to you and have the pets best interest in mind. It seems like they are caring for your pet as they would care for their own. I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting to receive quality care.

I requested that my dog be seen same day and was not told I would be charged for URGENT CARE because of the request. (I normally give my dog her injection at home, but was told that the vet did not have enough of it to sell me a bottle and would need to take the dog into the office) When arriving we were taken into an examination room only to be left there for 45 minutes without anyone letting us know what was happening. Finally someone said there was an "emergency" and that it would be at least another 15-20 minutes to wait. It turned out to be even longer and by the time the vet(who spent maybe 5 minutes looking at patient) arrived, the patient was visibly nervous. This particular dog has Addisons and should avoid getting agitated. Then the vet suggested we run a test on the patient to see if she could change the amount of medication that has kept this particular patient stable for the last 5 years. We said we wanted to just keep it as it was because it was working well. Then we asked because the dog was at this point shaking, that the injection be done in the room where we were with her and not taken to the back. All was good until two techs walked into the room and first announced that they would be putting a MUZZLE on the patient. This is a dog that has never been aggressive to anyone or anything and was obviously just fine. I was shocked and should have just told them that I would hold her. Then I was asked it the injection was to be subcutaneous----geesh---why did the tech not know that?? Yes--was the answer. Then after the injection I had to wait another 20 minutes to have someone check me out--ie--pay. That was when I was informed that this was considered URGENT CARE and would have an additional cost related to it. That evening the patient was violently ill and it continued into the next day late afternoon. I do not know why--thinking it was because of the stress she was put under with waiting and then being muzzled. Or maybe the medication (although this patient had never had an adverse reaction ). We will not be returning to this vet office.

Very nice and clean facility. The exam room was spacious and comfortable. My cat was greeted patiently and made to feel safe throughout his exam and procedure. Everything was explained and charges were clearly stated. I felt that my cat was in safe hands.

We made a difficult decision to put our senior dog down - Frontier was her last visit. The staff were so kind. We received a paw print with a card and poem. Thank you SO much for your kindness and thoughts.

Everyone we encountered at Frontier was incredibly nice and knowledgeable. They really make you and your pet feel welcome, heard, and taken care of. After terrible experiences with another vet, we are SO happy with the care Frontier provided for our dog.

The staff is always friendly and helpfully. I never feel pressured to do more then expected. I leave feeling the recommendations they offer are what they would do for their own fur baby.

We have been going to Frontier for several years now. Their Whole Pet Plans are a great way to keep us accountable to our pets health and they provide a decent value as well. The staff is always friendly and patient. Just am all-around great place to take your pets!

I just moved into the area and was having a hard time finding a veterinary clinic that is taking new patients and my dog needed to be seen within the week for pain management. Frontier got me in to see a vet within a couple of days. I have been back twice since then and the staff have been amazing, helpful, friendly and reassuring. My dog is on a good treatment plan, he is very comfortable which makes me happy.

They helped get a prescription filled when we were having trouble finding somewhere that could do it. They have always gone out of their way to help take good care of my fur baby.

We decided to take our cat, Furball, out of a large hospital system for more personal attention. Dr. Rejba demonstrated care and expertise in the needs of Furball and his recent diabetic problems. We are happy to have made the switch and most importantly, Furball is much happier.

Always took great care of Mr. Tiger. Employees are always friendly, the Drs do not stick you with unneeded care. Boarding is great also.

I absolutely love Frontier. Every person I have ever spoken to has been incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, professional and empathetic. We adopted our kitty towards the beginning of the pandemic and Frontier was so helpful in getting him in to be neutered and on a journey to getting healthy. I completely trust Dr. Palmer to give us the best care and to give us all the information so we can make an informed decision. I also use Frontier for boarding when necessary, and feel so comfortable that the care my cat gets is not only top-notch, but with genuine affection. The fact that everyone refers to my cat as a "kiddo" is the cherry on top! We moved recently and I have no plans on going elsewhere.

Frontier staff are always super friendly and professional. They do excellent work with our kitties and they sincerely care about their patients and their families.

We had been clients of another local vet clinic for close to 30 years, but had noticed over the last couple, the level of service, feeling of care, etc had really gone downhill. That culminated with a(n undeserved) chastising from one of their vets for something my dog's had since we adopted him (not my fault). After things started to open again, I realized I needed a clinic where they actually care about our animals, and I really needed one that made actual appointments ("walk in" does not work for us)! I had a ton of questions, which Hope patiently answered for me (& she called them my "kiddos" :) ), and decided to try Frontier at the recommendations of most in a local FB group. Frontier is not cheap, but they are GOOD! I was able to take my babies *in* to the clinic for drop off (much calmer for them). I got a call from the vet making sure she had a complete list of all the things we needed done; she was very detailed & patient with the information, pricing, etc. I ended up purchasing a one year care plan for each of them, which includes annual vaccines, and a check up, blood work up, and fecal work up every six months. The evening of the visit (same day!), I got patient reports (like chart notes for humans) for each of my dogs (I've never gotten anything like that from any other vet). Two days later, she called again with the blood & fecal results for both dogs, and cytology for one of them. Again, patiently and with lots of information; giving us all of our choices with no judgment. We made a care plan, and once again, we got a report (a break down of what we'd talked about for E), and a copy of his cytology. I am so happy to have found a good vet clinic and look forward to a long relationship with them.
