Staff is very knowledgeable about every animal, in my case, the cats. Helpful and sensitive to everyone's needs. The facility is very clean, cat condos neat & tidy. Lots of food and water available for the animals.

This shelter really does love and care for their animals but unfortunately I had a bad experience in June of this year. First-off, they charged $10 for me to visit a dog and I've never been charged for a visit by any shelter. I drove a long way to visit one who was described as "a little shy" when really the poor guy should have been listed as feral and needing lots of socialization. He wasn't a good fit so then the worker offered to bring out another dog she said was also good with cats. The dog was super sweet and I was ready to take the old girl home but then the worker checked the her file again and said "oops, sorry, she is really bad with cats". So you can imagine the let-down when it turned out I couldn't take her home :( The search for the right canine companion continues!

They made it very convenient, safe, and quick with service and paperwork. I am excited to pick up my kitten after she is spayed.

I don’t know what amount of stars to give this place- all I know is I love animals and always, always rescue because I love the idea of giving homes to animals in need. I recently adopted what I thought was a female guinea pig from the Wenatchee valley humane society “She” was supposed to be a new friend for our other female guinea that had recently lost her cage mate. We found out later it was a boy. I don’t want to sway anyone away from adopting but I have some SERIOUS concerns about this place.

Rude, and not helpful. Waited on a waiting list for a month for their TNR “community cat program” for kittens. Got a call to bring them in on Thursday. When calling to bring them in after trapping the feral kittens ,I was told I now needed to make an appointment for two weeks out......I’ve made multiple donations to this program and have supported this program. The women who returned my call acted as if she had never heard of “community cats”, it’s right on your website! Nice work lost any future donations.

My husband and I just had the worst experience with them. We were looking at adopting a pair of husky puppies to join our family. The website said in-person adoption only. They are almost 4 hrs away from us. Husband gets up in the morning and starts the drive. The office opened at 11 so we call to let them know we are heading there and are told it's first come, first serve. And they DO Not do holds! When he arrived the female is already adopted. And the male has a 24 hr. HOLD. Well I thought you didn't do holds. Apparently a 50$ hold is aloud. Well why weren't we aloud to do a hold and keep the siblings together when both were still available. When we relayed to them that we were told no hold by them we simply got a "oh" in response. Thanks for crushing our hope and excitement, lying to us, and having zero remorse for the 8 hr drive, waste of time and gas, all based off your staffs information. Heartbroken!

Having beenTrying to work with the Wenatchee Humane Society for awhile....finally got called back regarding scheduling a meet and greet, was cut off and I tried multiple times calling back with no answer. Finally reached them and was told that they just called someone else back just going down the list. Worst experience ever.

Your operation is pointless. Why would I want to trap STRAY cats just to come get them. My time dealing with you has been completely pointless. PATHETIC

My rating is to address the policy about having your pet eithanized.. I have a small adorable sky terrier mix adopted 10 years ago from the Oregon Humane Society. Unfortunately he has been suffering from blisters and rashes for over a year now. I have had Cascade and Countryside treat him for both using prescribed steroids and antibiotics but the painful blisters and scratching continued. They even had the steroids and antibiotics on a standing refill which I refilled twice but he did not get relief for more than a day after fi ishing the Rx. also tried calamine lotion, diet changes, hydrocortisone spray/lotion/cream, and even hemorrhoid cream for his bottom rash. Realizing he has been suffering terribly for a.long time with no end in sight, I asked about euthanizing him. The WV shelter said I can surrender him to them and they will determine if he is needs to be euthanized or if he can be treated. I stressed to them that if they determine he cannot be euthanized then I will take him back to foster until he can be cared for because I do NOT want to return him to living in a shelter. After taking him in today I called to ask if they had decided to euthanize him and was told they will keep him today, Saturday and Sunday and midmorning Monday.their Vet will make a decision. I said I could pick him up and return him Monday but they replied that I surrendered him so they. are keeping him. They have made a terrible situation so much worse. I am SICK that I am powerless now. All I could do was promise that if they do not euthanize him I will re adopt him and follow whatever course of treatment they think will help, even though I have tried everything except paying $500 or more for allergy testing with no guarantee for a helpful outcome. My worst nightmare! I am JUST SICK AND DISTRAUGHT that my dog JB is stuck in a shelter for reasons unknown to him!!! Shame on your heartless policy! UPDATE: the director of the shelter determined I had not been advised of the full surrender they had processed and offered a complimentary checkup as well as a release of my Bestie back to me. I was there from 9:30 until 12:30 and still unable to see him so I finally insisted I be allowed to take him home which thank heaven they allowed! I have him scheduled for another Vet visit next week.

They took good care of my dog for less than half what his regular very would have charged for his neuter. They made special arrangements for him and his clinical needs. Thank you staff for your understanding with his anxiety issues. He was treated with respect, and that matters.

The staff is hands down compassionate and genuinely care. Our experience with the clinic will not be forgotten. They showed professionalism and cared for our pup very well. They communicate with us to make sure we know all of our options and can make a educated decision for our pups care. Highly recommended.

Animal control is a joke. They don't even follow up on half the calls that get called in.

I adopted about a year ago, they were fast about the process and did not stop to tell us the problems that our dog at the time was facing, I payed over 150 dollars for a beautiful dog that had heart worm and was going through treatment, with more information I would have felt more comfortable going into this adoption. Also animals are priced by breed and age. It gets real pricey. Its a working organization.
