We've been taking our dogs here for several years and we're happy with the service.

I ADOPTED A PRECIOUS DOG WITH MANY HEALTH ISSUES OVER THE PAST 5 YEARS AND RIVERVIEW ANIMAL HOSPITAL DR SCOTT KEMPER HAS SOLVED MANY OF THESE PROBLEMS..HE AND HIS STAFF ARE ANIMAL LOVING AND VERY TRUSTWORTHY....I WOULD NOT TRADE THEM FOR ANYTHING

One of the worst things a vet hospital/clinic can do is cause unnecessary pain and discomfort to your pet. We put our trust in Riverview Animal Hospital when we dropped off our cat Lulu on October 1, 2021, for a teeth cleaning. We did NOT authorize any other procedure. The vet made an unconscionable decision to perform surgery on our cat. Not only did we NOT give permission for an invasive surgery, but we also were never given the opportunity to review the risks to our cat OR review the fees associated with the surgery! They claim to have called me to get permission that morning, but I have no such call logged on my phone or a VM. They could have called my husband, as they have his number too, but they didn’t. When I inquired why they performed the surgery, without permission, I was told it was in her best interest to have it. Since when does the vet make such important decisions without approval from the family? We were given a $887.61 bill, with all sorts of random charges. The vet told me, during Lulu’s check up, in August, her cleaning would cost a little over $300 and that’s what we expected to pay. Our teenage son went to pick up Lulu and obviously didn’t have that amount of money with him, so they called my husband for their money. They made no effort to call him to discuss surgery, but they can call him when they want to get paid? During my call to them, I was extremely upset. They refused to apologize or admit fault. When I said I wanted a refund for half of the bill, they said “we are at an impasse and my family is no longer welcome to their hospital.” The person who handles the billing and married to one of the vets there, told me this! Seriously? You put our beloved cat at risk and charged us an exorbitant fee, but WE are the bad guys? Very unprofessional and unethical place. They are now being investigated by the Washington Department of Health AND The Attorney General’s office! BEWARE!!

Dr. Scott and his team are the best! They’ve cared for two dogs and one cat and done such a good job through all kinds of odd animal health issues. I am forever grateful to them!

Having recently moved here we received a recommendation for river view. Our dog ended up having some major medical issues and they were able to provide us many options and recommend outside consults when they felt they would benefit the health of my dog rather than taking my money to do a lesser treatment in house. Cannot recommend them enough.

Our dog had a eye emergency today. We called every pet hospital in Clark county. No one could make time for us. Not even our regular veterinarian. I finally called Riverview animal hospital. Eventhough they had no openings when they Dr lisa heard max's condition she found a way to get us in. This is the most caring exceptional animal clinic I've ever experienced. Every single person we came in contact with was genuinely concerned and caring! From the front desk to the doctors. Again simple an exceptional experience! They are now our new animal care hospital for all our animals! I highly recommend Riverview hospital to anyone with pets!

Amazing care excellent staff, this is the best veterinary hospital there is

Due to a serious injury to our dog's tail, our previous vet suggested that amputation may be the only alternative, but because of her age and medical issues, anesthesia was not recommended so that left us with the sad choice of euthanizing our dear dog. We wanted a second opinion and went to Dr. Kepner at Riverview Animal Hospital. Not only has Dr. Kepner saved our dog's tail, he has saved her life!!! We can't say enough about Dr. Kepner and all the staff at Riverview, they are very compassionate, knowledgeable and willing to work with you personally. During Covid we were very thankful that Dr. Kepner actually came outside to speak with us face to face and brought us into the clinic to show us how to care for our dog's tail so we could do it at home, thereby saving our dog the stress of going to the vet :))) Our dog's tail has now healed, we can't say enough about everyone at Riverview Animal Hospital!!!

I had 3 VERY sick dogs. My Vet did not have any appointments available. I was going to go to an Emergency Vet clinic and wait for at least 4 hours. A friend of mine called Riverview and they got us in that day! I had never been there, but they were concerned enough to get us in. Such a fabulous staff from front office to back. Dr. Lisa was wonderful!!

Dr. Lisa did a great job explaining the treatment of my cat. Seems to really care about the patients.

I have been taking my dogs to Riverview for well over ten years. I haven't price checked to see where they fall in comparison to other vets in the area, but for the quality of care I've gotten for both of my dogs I wouldn't risk going anywhere else. Their expertise, professionalism, and general concern for my dogs has earned my loyalty as a customer.

Scott, Danielle, and the team at River view have help us care for our dogs and cats through everything from birth to death. They have been supportive, honest, and caring every single time. We have recommended them to both family and friends, and would do so again.

This Animal Hospital has been a blessing to me. From emergency C-sections to a somewhat unusual need or snake bite vaccine, this amazing Veterinary Hospital has it. Lovely staff that are hands on with the animals in their care. Their office is clean and inviting. No question is too silly, I ask a lot of of questions. They always take time to find the answers. With a lifetime of dog ownership under my belt, I'm so grateful to have found this wonderful Veterinary Hospital..... for my four fabulous labs. Question is "Why can't I give them 10 stars??? Like I said ... I ask a lot of questions.

Dr. Kepner was able to see my cat between his full schedule of already booked patients. The staff at Riverview Animal Hospital were very kind and compassionate when they were treating my cat - who had thrown a blood clot and then had to be put to sleep - last Saturday.

Thank You Riverview Animal hospital for being a medical facility that I can count on. Your existence has allowed me to pursue my dream of helping previously homeless, medical needy and senior cats, and giving them a safe, comfortable place to live. Dr. Kepner has the knowledge and expertise to diagnose and treat their sometimes complicated conditions. I really feel that he cares, and the staff is professional and supportive. They are pretty nice to me too!

Trusting someone with my pet is very difficult for me. After relocating to the area from out of state, one of my top priorities was finding the right vet. Dr. Kepner is that person. Incredibly knowledgeable, straightforward, and generous, Dr. Kepner is clearly passionate about caring for pets. He truly loves what he does, and that makes all the difference in the world. It really really does. I also must emphasize that I have never experienced a veterinary office that works so well as a cohesive team. The techs, front desk, and Dr. Kepner have outstanding communication with one another and with me as a client. Everyone treats both me and my pet with the utmost care and respect.

Dr Scott took exceptional care of my kitty chloe. It was hard to change vets after 15 years, but she is retired now. I feel as though I made a excellent choice.

I met Scott and the team around 3 years ago. One new puppy later who eats random sH** like socks and crayons and well whatever my human kid leaves out and we have had our share of vet visits. The elder pup with pretty typical “aging” issues. Every time I call with a “need to be seen today issue” and I’m welcomed minutes later to bring my kiddo in need to the office despite a full clinic. The office staff are friendly, make cute name tags, know me and my family and I’m fairly certain know me by caller ID by now!!! I blame the new puppy for this!!! I mostly was hesitate to make a posting due to fear they would get too popular :). I am fairly particular in my (and all the kids) healthcare needs and I would recommend Scott and the team to all my best friends and family.

We absolutely love Riverview Animal Hospital. Dr. Scott Kepner and the entire staff are so friendly and truly care about your pets. We have two Boston Terriers and are huge animal lovers, so we take our pet's health seriously, probably more than our own health at times. They are very responsive and never make you feel like you're an overbearing pet owner. If you are new to the area or are just looking to switch vets, you really should consider this clinic.

I have been taking my pets (cat and dog) to Dr. Kepner for over three years, and they continue to receive spectacular care. My dog has some special needs (thanks, Scott, for getting her all straightened out!), so we're in the office at least once per month, and I've seen the comings and goings of many pet families, besides my own. Big dogs, little dogs, big cats, little cats - they're all treated the same: lovingly. Dr. Kepner's staff is curteous and professional, and clearly they love animals. The staff takes its lead from Dr. Kepner who is extremely knowledgeable and, himself, loving to the animals. Besides that, he's pragmatic when it comes to cost. I've never been subject to an "upsell," which I have dealt with at other clinics. When I'm there, my pets and I are treated like family. My pets are so fortunate to receive Dr. Kepner's care!

We love Riverview, I wouldn’t take my dogs anywhere else unless they recommended it! Dr.Scott can run circles around other vets! He has helped our 13 year old dog so much! Thanks Riverview!

I travel a fair distance to bring my two fur babies for their exams with Dr. Kepner. My experience has been nothing but positive and find this clinic to be one of the best in Clark County. I am a newer client and have always been greeted with a smile; the facility is spotlessly clean, and the staff members are knowledgeable, friendly, and very professional. Dr. Kepner has performed annual exams on both my adult cats; one of which is very timid and he bolts when someone enters a room. For the very first time at a veterinary clinic, he was at ease and snuggled up with Dr. Kepner during and after his exam. The doctor was very thorough in asking medical history, making recommendations for alternate food, and even had his assistant check on pricing for me. After the visit, he made sure I understood what side effects may occur with his shots and what to do if he had an allergic reaction. If only human medicine were as transparent as veterinary medicine!

Staff and Dr. Scott are always friendly and take good care of my cats. Dr. Scott is very knowledgeable. You can tell he knows his stuff and cares.
