K-9 to Five Vancouver, Washington

This daycare REQUIRES you to bring your dog in at a minimum 2-3x per month. In Sept, I paid $35 for a 4-hour evaluation. After the evaluation, they told me it’s “recommended” to bring your dog in within the next week and then a minimum of 2-3x per month (proof attached). That was a total bait and switch. Why is this policy not stated on their website? Why wasn’t I told that upfront? I would not have signed up for an evaluation then. There’s no point in paying for daycare services that I don’t need. Also, since it was “recommended” and not required, I did not bring my dog in. Two months after the evaluation, I brought my dog in today for daycare. Joshua told me that since I hadn’t brought my dog in for regular visits, that was going to be an issue. I explained it wasn’t required. When I returned to pick up my dog, he wanted to schedule more daycare for my dog to come in. I already decided I would take my business elsewhere. All I’m asking is: be upfront about your requirements and policies. Please stop writing “recommend”, when you truly mean “require.”

The people here are so caring and take such an incredible interest in helping your doggy feel comfortable and at home. They understand young dogs that still have to learn how to be away from thier people for full days and really commit to working with them. I am so glad we picked this one out of all of them.

The first couple of times I went here and brought my giant schnauzer, they did a fantastic job. But then the next time I brought her in, they botched her and gave her the most horrible haircut I have ever seen. When I complained, they asked me to take my business elsewhere.

Over the moon with how great of a job they did with my plushy husky who was overdue for a good de-shedding treatment. He is very dramatic and hates baths, brushing and anything related. I was prepared for them to tell me they couldn’t do everything we came in for, but he came out looking like a brand new dog!! Can’t recommend this place enough. Very welcoming and professional staff. Thank you so much for taking such good care of my baby!

My dog goes there one day/week. They are wonderful people and treat my girl with such care and love. I trust them with her implicitly. They also do training ckasses.

Had looked up dog groomers that offer self wash, found this one that had good reviews so I drove a considerable distance, only to get here and see a sign on the door that the "self wash is permanently closed". Would be nice if they'd update their website especially since it's permanently closed and not just temporary.

I take my very anxious mini doxy here to get his nails trimmed. Even adding a tip, it costs less than my vet. I don't need an appt and it's close to home! Everyone there is always friendly and professional. Love this place and the people who work there :)

Very clean, very well facilitated. And I especially Appreciate that they sponsor and host a small dog play group every other Sunday for just three dollars per dog. It is a great community service.

I get my dogs groomed all the time by Robyn here. She always so sweet with my dogs.

My 2.5 year dog enjoys going here for 5 hour visits, and has continued to improve her interaction comfort with other dogs big and small, as evidenced by Instagram videos posted! The anytime drop off up to 1pm allows max flexibility. I enjoy coming to a newer space which is bright and welcoming, unlike most other daycare options which feel like a warehouse or are not in great repair, and is kept clean all the time. Happy to have this indoor facility during rainy days. Also appreciate the staff who keeps up with each dogs quirks and/or health issues.

The owners were nice enough to let us in even though we don't own a dog.

My little Coda loves going to K-9 to Five for playcare and running around with his furry friends. Marc and his staff are all wonderful and helpful. Highly recommended if you are looking for doggy playcare!

Facilities and staff are super friendly. Self dog wash was a total effin ripoff. They charged me $24 to wash my own small dog and didn't tell us any pricing until it was all done. For $10 I can do the full fancy self wash on my car. $24 to wash your own dog is way too much.

Absolutely love K-9 to Five! We have been going here for a handful of months now and the care our Shepherd receives is amazing. He also comes back so happy. The staff is so kind.

Oh my gosh, this place is THE BEST PLACE EVER!!!!! Everyone there is so incredible, happy and truly love our dogs! Whenever we are driving, our pups immediately start freaking out as we are going in the direction of this awesome doggy Playcare because they LOVE it!!! They’ve even tried to jump out the window to get in (yay for doggy seatbelts)! Over the past several years we have been able to turn to the team at K9 to Five at the last minute when our shihtzu’s needed to run out their energy. I can’t say enough good things about this place! But the TRUE tell tale is that our dogs LOVE going there every time! Oh and I can’t forget about the amazing groomers too!!! PHENOMENAL!!!!! You can’t go wrong bring your four legging children here!!! THANK YOU!!!

Before K9-5 my Annie-Oakley was an anxious mess who had separation issues. They worked with me and Annie with coping mechanisms that has changed not only my relationship with Annie but how she interacts with the world around her. I cannot thank them enough, and would recommend everyone to their amazing team.

I’ve been taking my dog to K-9 to Five for years now for regular baths and nail trims and they have always been great. They are friendly, professional, and always do a good job.

As I am new to the Vancouver area, I was looking forward to getting my dogs groomed at K9 to 5. I scheduled an appt and the day before unfortunately realized the distemper booster for one of my pups was not listed on the vaccination record. I called K9 to 5 and left a Vmail explaining that needed to cancel given the vaccination situation. I received a call back from a woman around 8:00am the next morning asking if I wanted to reschedule, which was great. Unfortunately, as she listed some available times, they weren’t quite syncing up with my calendar. I could tell by her tone she was becoming irritated. Finally, the third appt offered was an 8:00am appt which I shared would work if I could bring the pups a little early, say 7:30am. She responded with a very rude tone and said, “sure, if they are okay being locked in a cage in a dark room.” I was taken aback and said, “excuse me, a cage, dark room?!” She tersely replied, “cage, a crate... I’ll turn on the light for them”. That was enough for me, and I ended the call without making an appt. Yikes! Not sure what she was trying to describe but no thank you. Our fur babies can’t tell us what’s going when we are not around, so it’s up to us to be attentive; cues are important. I thought to myself, if this is how you are going to interact with me, a new customer, how are you going to treat my nervous dogs that don’t know you or these unfamiliar surroundings? Cage? Dark room? Yea, no thanks. Maybe this lady is the one in need of a distemper booster... Like Maya Angelou wisely said, “when someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time” ——————————— UPDATE: The woman called me and apologized. It seemed like a sincere apology. We are all human and make mistakes. I wish them well.

This place is absolutely fantastic. Its warm clean and beautifully friendly. Our adopted Puggle has had multiple social issues and they have helped Lulu tremendously. Plus she can have her nails clipped and filled while there instead of me taking her ti the Vet. Th

The owners and all of their staff are so attentive and super nice. My dog Kiwi loves going there to play - her tail is wagging when I drop her off and its still wagging when I pick her up. It's obvious the owners really love dogs and put forth a ton of effort to make this a great place for pups. I know my dog is well taken care of when I drop her off.
