STAY FAR AWAY!!!! If I could give negative stars I would. I went in telling them my cat has been stumbling and falling over, and that I thought she had an ear infection. after a 45 minute "examination" they wanted to do blood work to make sure any infection did spread and to check her toxicity levels. and they wanted to do x-rays. and told me they needed to charge me for sedation because she's getting aggressive and scratching them, the interesting thing is that she doesn't have any claws....so not sure how's she's scratching them, called him on it, and he went speechless, knowing I caught him in a lie. Not much I could have done about it as I was already there I had no choice. When I went back to pick her up they told us they didn't look in her ears as they were not told it was an ear infection. THAT WAS THE FIRST THING I SAID TO THEM AND THE WHOLE REASON I BROUGHT HER IN!!!! so then they took her back to go look in her ear, and if they did an Exam like they said they did..... why wouldn't they check her ears? that's standard. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!! Shady as hell Unprofessional Lies Dirty exam rooms Unorganized Kept calling us to pick her up, while we were sitting in the waiting room there to pick her up. SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM I cannot stress this enough. If you care for your pets DO NOT GO HERE!

The doctor gave me a nearly $900 quote including hospitalization without even running any tests for my cat. Why would you quote for hospitalization when you don't even know what's going on? I declined the quote and asked for bloodwork first, then act on it.

I brought my dog in on Aug 18 for a sharp cut on his tongue. After long discussion and consideration (it's a Frenchie, so more risky for anasthesia), we still wanted him to have a normal life, so decided to pay for the expensive surgery and get it done. The day after he came back from the surgery, I noticed the edge of the cut was not sutured, so I provided the pictures and emailed to intercity and the doctor said it's alright, it will heal. However on the third day, the stitches completely came off and the wound is open again. The whole operation costed $830 only to come undone and even worse because no other clinics want to do it because they said Intercity did the surgery, they should fix it. It's also infuriating when I tried to talk to the manager, the receptionist kept brushing me off and even laughed when I asked who I should talk to. The staff works on Aug 20, around 6-7 PM. I think how they dealt with it is very irresponsible. First they did not suture the whole thing up, second they did not want to be responsible to fix it. I have requested for the full cost coverage for the re-suturinf work and am waiting to see what they are going to say. Update: recently their service seems to have improved.

Not even one star My little puppy started to limping this morning. I called my usual vet in New Westminster and they told me they couldn't do a x-ray. In my opinion the nurse just called random emergency vet hospitals... And well unlucky me got an appointment at this Intercity Animal Emergency Hospital. Without checking I went there blind believing the nurse did her paid job well. I arrived with a super quiet puppy and without a swollen leg at the clinic. I guess it's there standard offer they do! (after reading all the reviews - too late) We agreed on the x-ray but I decided not to take the blood test as I had some on my hands. Estimated was 500 for all work ended up paying 800 cad without any results. My puppy lying down with pain. They stated a huge useless selling conversation. Just all opinions and tried to sell as much as possible. After asking a lot of questions - without any real answer from the staff or vet. I used my human brain and tied to find out what doesn't make sense at all. For example : waiting for the results from the x-ray and hopefully starting the treatment for my puppy as soon as possible. They tried to sell me medicine for the next day - 24 hours later. Until that time nobody had any idea what it could be. The vets words: IT COULD BE ANYTHING... But if you don't know how can you tell me what my puppy needs in 24 hrs???? Seriously it doesn't make sense at all. After agreeing with me they asked me if I would like to buy some pills for the next week? I could not believe it.. After 3 hours of waiting there I asked to see my puppy it come back with a crazy swollen leg and crying from pain. Horrible place stay away!!!! The doctor likes to interrupt you all the time and then telling you that you are rude. The staff rotated several times because they couldn't answer any of our questions. After seeing there report .. One point was 'my puppy peed in the kennel' Well, after getting my puppy back it was wet on the paws and back.... I guess nobody was cleaning after the little accident. Stay away!!!!!

After 24 hours & over $3740, no one has contacted me with my cat’s final diagnosis despite ensuring they would. They initially insisted on repeating doing tests done recently & unnecessarily. My cat is in a end of life situation & they are more than happy to prolong their involvement & their income. They did not listen to my thoughts on what is actually going on with my cat but rather chose to do a costly series of tests that ended up being exactly what I knew it was.

Horrible place to go. Staff are unprofessional and slow with little to none care for your animal. They want to and will squeeze as much money out of you as they possibly can. They put my dog through excessive amounts of useless tests, each costing money. After a day of stay overnight. The veterinary had no knowledge of the causes. Such a waste of money and time. Do not go there!!!!

Our 6mo puppy broke his leg yesterday - he was in so much pain! Brought him to the clinic from Richmond - and they took good care of him. X-rays after IV sedative showed a complete fracture of both Radius & Ulna bones. Have to wait for surgery so they bandaged up his leg and we took him home. Great care and concern, good job everyone! He's up and about this morning, thank you.

I visited Intercity multiple times when my cat got her tail amputated. The staff was very kind and welcoming and always accommodating to make sure I was able to visit at my convenience. My cat was treated by Dr. Ranjan, Dr. Kansal and Dr. Yadav, and they all offered excellent care and aided her in having a speedy recovery, as her recovery time was estimated to be 3 months but she was recovered in a little over a month! I would highly recommend Intercity to all pet owners as they have the best care and customer service I've experienced!

Needed emergency care for my dog and came to see Dr Ranjan and his team. It was a good experience from the moment we walked in the front door to the moment we left. The receptionist was friendly, efficient and the doctor skillfully diagnosed why by dogs eye was infected and prescribed the proper med. They were totally upfront with the cost and explained every line item and gave us the option to proceed. The doctor and his team laid back attitude was most appreciated. Thx

Horrible place to go. Staff are rude and slow with little to none care for your animal. They want to and will squeeze as much money out of you as they possibly can. They put my dog through excessive amounts of useless tests, each costing $$$. Have barely any emergency equipment in house, needed to have someone come in for an ultrasound which took 24 hours. Hard to contact and slow with sending other vets critical info about your pet. Lucky my dog made it out before anything bad could’ve happened.

This vet was utterly appaling. I went with my brother to get his cat looked at during the heatwave (June 26 at 11:30) when the cat was showing signs of heatstroke and the experience was all kinds of awful. The vet began the appointment by diagnosing the cat with a fever, and refused to treat the cat after this diagnosis. They only offered an extortionate cost for multiple tests, claiming that without these tests they could not treat the cat. We asked if they could simply keep the cat in the air conditioned office, which would help if the cat had heatstroke and would not require any invasive treatment, but the vet did not allow this. We left the clinic and instead went to VCA canada animal emergency, and they were so much better. The one star is for the rats in the parking lot, who were the only good part of the experience. Sitting in the car waiting for our appointment and watching them scuttle was more productive for both the humans and the cat than the vet visit.

My good boy had an ear infection keeping him up at night. So I brought him here, thankfully they're open late! Staff were very caring and friendly. My dog is now happy and healthy!

Brought in my cat who was unfortunately dying due to feline leukemia virus, they gave me recommendations on my next course of action and were extremely helpful and friendly.

They did‘t take into consideration the cat's mood at all, and is very unprofessional xray check and bandaging. waste time! the cat was not transferred to the other hospital in time, and the wound began to bleed after leaving this hospital! dereliction of duty! Don't come to such a hospital!

I brought my dog in on an emergency basis on a Sunday morning. I want to thank Dr Kansal and his team for their care. Your compassion and professionalism will always be remembered.

Such a scam!!! Our dog got into a fight There was a cut on his face that needed stitches,it’s a very small cut and this hospital did a surgery and cost us $1300. I have no choice to choose this hospital. It’s late night other clinic closed. Do not choose this hospital minimum you will spend is $1000 every time you visit!

Brought my dog here for an early morning visit and the staff were very friendly and highlighted the options available and also even followed up after to ensure my dog was doing well. Would definitely recommend in case you need to make the unfortunate trip to the vet during off hours.

Took my rescue dog here last week for an emergency, and it was our first time. The staff member, Harmeen, was extremely kind and patient. She thoroughly asked me questions on the incident and ensured that my dog would be properly taken care of. The vet carefully explained the medications that he gave me and even explained medication that was given to me from a different hospital. Thank you!

Rushed our puppy here after suspected cannabis ingestion as it is the closest emergency vet in our neighborhood. We were scared because we are new dog owners and the receptionist had no sense of urgency and was not very reassuring. We were told that the vet would contact us with any updates on testing/diagnostics throughout the day and we were meant to leave our puppy for 12 hours (2am). Around 4pm we called to relay information we thought would be important and before hanging up the receptionist said "oh, the drug test is negative by the way. The vet will call you soon to discuss more information with you". 4 hours later, we called in and the vet said he was just about to call us. He ended the call by ensuring he would call in the morning and to wait to pick up our dog at 8-9am. We were getting ready to leave and decided to call, as it was 845am and no one had contacted us AGAIN and were told they still weren't ready so we'd have to wait. They are terrible at communicating with their clientele and charge pretty outrageous fees, although most emergency vets do overprice everything.

I had an emergency surgery for my five year old cat there. They are a 24 hour clinic with a Vet on duty at all times. They took excellent care of my cat and were helpful on controlling the cost. Would recommend to anyone needing regular or emergency veterinary care.

My cat couldn't pee and I was quoted nearly $ 2,000 for diagnosis. I declined. For injections and medicine bring home, it costs $366. This price is much more than other clinics we went to. The only reason we accepted the treatment because it was on Sunday and other clinics were full. Never go back here!!!

First time going here when we found out our new kitten had worms. They were very friendly and attentive. Went on a Saturday and the office called to check up on her on the following Wednesday, very impressed because I've never experienced a check up call from a vet before and this is our second cat. The appointment fee is only $10 to $15 dollars more than a regular vet but those aren't open on weekends. We will definitely use them again!

owner is sad excuse for a vet clinic owner try to justify the bull took my dog in for an emergency they told me I needed xrays did said xrays 648 dollars later they told me no fracture they didn't suspect a dislocation and its not neuro so I take my dog home 2 days later its worse take him to my vet who tells me to take him straight to a specialist animal hospital so thats what I did i was told they should have known by looking at your dog he needed a ct not an xray they wasted your money and they were wrong because my dogs jaw was dislocated possibly fractured but they needed to do a ct to be sure he required a procedure would not recommend I feel like I got scammed out of almost 700 dollars because of them taking advantage of the situation shame on them they knew exactly what they were doing they should have done a ct if thats what was best for my dog then try to justify it when you get called on it theres no justifying it do whats needed funny how 1 visit to a better clinic gets my dog fixed after these guys said my dog was ok take him home watch him

We didn’t have a good experience here at all. Two years ago our cat Lily started scratching her eye and blinking a lot until she kept one of her eyes closed. We took her to a vet but Lily was already fine when we got there so the vet told us that she must have had some fur on it and she was fine. Last week we went through the same situation, but since it was already late, just for precaution we took her to Intercity Animal Emergency. When we got there, Lily was fine already again. Her eye was wide open and she wasn’t touching it at all. We decided to go on with the appointment since we were already there. We didn’t feel comfortable from start. The coldness of the person who came talk to us and take our cat inside (due the pandemic we had to wait outside), but that’s ok, since this is probably how this person is, I just like to feel that whoever is dealing with my Lily loves animals. But that’s on me. After we waited outside, the “doctor” came talk to us. Not knowing he only had the information of what happened earlier, he told us she was still scratching her eye (what a lie) and wanted to do two other exams and give her two injections!!!! For what I do t know since he didn’t explain anything to us. We would only have to pay 330 bucks! The guy sounded like he was lying and he knew it. I’m just glad we’ve been through this situation before and we didn’t fall for it. We left and don’t feel like going back there at all. We then took her to the same doctor she went two years ago two days later (she didn’t have time before that) and she said Lily was just fine. She didn’t charge extra to examine her eyes (that’s why we took her to the vet in the first place) and she was incredibly lovely. We paid 150 for the complete eye exam + nails trimming + one vaccine + deworming medication. I really don’t advise anyone to go to the intercity animal emergency if it’s an emergency late at night and especially during the pandemic when you won’t be able to be there with your pet. We really felt like the only thing they wanted to do was make money out of us, not help us in a moment we actually needed.

The young girl at the front desk is absolutely horrible. I brought our dog in to this clinic when he got sick in the morning, this clinic was the closest one i could find to our home. My fiance was at work when he heard what had happened and called in to ask questions about our dogs well being, what they are giving him and what is happening - she then blocked his number and called me to say my fiance is not allowed to call the clinic as he is "making it a stressful environment for the staff" ... while our dog was AT the clinic, they had him there for 12 hours and she wouldnt let my fiance call to see how his OWN dog was doing. When we went together to pick him up the doctor and other staff had no clue that this incidence even happened and unblocked his number and apologized. The girl at the front desk clearly isn't a pet owner and/or far from a professional. I have no clue how she got hired here... i will never bring my pet here again. Beware!

I brought my cat here when he wasn't peeing properly in November, and the staffs here are fantastic. They were friendly, nice, and really cared for my cat when he had to be admitted for 24hrs+. They made sure to notify me when my cat was starting surgery, and when it was completed. They were nice when I called multiple times to ask about my cat's status update. Dr Amit Ranjan who operated and cared for my cat was also great to talk to, he clearly knows a lot about cats/pets, and was very understanding of my situation. I definitely recommend this emergency clinic to others!! Good job, guys.

We recently had to put Roxie, our 15 year old dachshund down. I won’t go into the medical details but I will say that I was happy that I brought Roxie to Intercity Animal Emergency Clinic. The medical team were excellent in providing care and instructions on administering medication. They were patient and compassionate in every way. Thank you Drs. Kansal, Chahal, Gunam, and Ranjan for all you did. Special thank you to Rosalia for being so kind and compassionate during Roxie’s final hours. Without a doubt I highly recommend taking your pet to Intercity Animal Emwergency Clinic. Wally Kwan
