We had the unfortunate need to put our sweet 12 year old cat down last night. We were so grateful that East Padden was open late on a Sunday and was able to squeeze us in last minute so our girl didn’t have to suffer. The staff was amazing …

They are really good at figuring out how to not let you use your rewards. For a while they kept saying my husband and I had different accounts so that we wouldn't have enough to cover the services. Then they would pretend we never told them …

With all the staff shortages and huge increase in people seeking vet services, 2021 has been a particularly terrible year to suddenly have health issues arise with BOTH my cats, but East Padden (and specifically Dr. Amsler) has been my life-line. They are swamped with clients just like every other clinic, but have implemented a system that still allows emergency needs to be met in a reasonable time. I am so grateful that their doors remain open 7 days a week, even though I'm sure it means working incredibly long hours. Special shoutout to Dr. Amsler, the kindest person who has been so patient with my endless questions and concerns about my kitties. One time she called me at 9:30pm to answer my questions, so yes, the vets at East Padden work very, very long days! For awhile there was considerable difficulty getting in touch with anyone at East Padden on the phone, but I think they have made changes in their phone system and it's easier to get through now. Also, be prepared for wait times. There is always a wait and sometimes it's a long one, depending on the nature of your visit. Urgent care visits get prioritized based on how serious the illness is, so if your pet is stable, they may have to wait a few hours for an exam. Generally, my pets have been seen and treated within 2-5 hours of being dropped off. It just depends on how many more serious cases are ahead of you in line. I've been taking my pets to East Padden for about 8 years now, but recently I think they proved themselves to be one of the best clinics in Vancouver with how they've been able to pivot with all the Covid restrictions and also handle the increase in demand. Way to go, guys! Keep up the great work.

I normally am not one to leave reviews however my experience was so incredible I just needed to make it known. My pet broke her leg, we had called every single vet clinic in the Vancouver/Portland and not one of them could help us. We came across East Padden Animal Hospital and they were the only clinic that was able to see us. Finally after 19 hours of her being in agony, we dropped her off. Our appointment was for 1 o’clock, but we were so antsy to have her seen we got there at 12:15, preparing to wait a while, just for them to actually see her early! This was incredibly surprising to us considering how busy they were. They addressed the problem, temporary helped her, and gave us a referral for her surgery. I am so thankful for this hospital. Their staff was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and very communicative. This is not our normal vet, and for them to treat us the way they did was amazing. I will forever come to this location if something is wrong.

East Padden was a Godsend when my cat’s leg was broken on a Sunday evening. My usual vets weren’t open and, frankly, they are so stretched for staff even when open that seeing them takes weeks. The local emergency vets are also overbooked due to the loss of many vets during Covid. East Padden said, “Come, now”. Follow up has been exceptional. Their hours are extensive and their crew is friendly and helpful. I’m going to make them my primary vets.

Double and triple check appointment and time. Waited nearly 6 weeks for an appointment got a call we had missed it. No email ,text or phone call reminder seems frustrating. Staff is kind.

I always have a great experience with this staff. They're all really friendly and easy to get any answers to my question. They only negative would be that sometimes when I call. It takes a few phone calls to get someone to answer the phone.

We brought our Chocolate Lab Loki in for an ear infection last Saturday. The service was fantastic. Everyone from the person who picked up our dog to the main Vet who treated him were great. We used there urgent care, but will be bringing both of our dogs to the regular vet clinic permanently. Thanks Dr. Lee and everyone for taking such good care of my dog.

Great veterinary care and though I don't love handing my dog out the window to strangers I DO appreciate the covid protocols to keep staff and pet parents safe and continuing to provide wonderful care. THANK YOU!

Got my rabbit fixed here. He had an issue with his hip being effected by some swelling and they immediately took him and checked him out. He got some additional treatment for free, and we added some other services for a reasonable fee. Very helpful. Very considerate. Reasonable cost. We will be back for anything else we might need in the future.

I am grateful for the staff at East Padden. I realized that my cat was very sick on a Saturday morning. I tried to get in to see my usual vet, but they didn't have any openings. I then called all of the usual locations and they either needed a call at 7am to find an opening or I had to wait up to 4 hours to just be triaged and then would need to wait another few hours to see if they could fit him into the schedule. When I called East Padden, they realized the urgency of the situation and fit my cat in, even though it was closer to the end of the day. They discovered that he needed surgery for a urinary blockage and immediately took action. While I couldn't go in due to COVID protection measures, the staff texted me throughout the day and kept me informed while my cat recovered over the next few days. I would definitely return to East Padden if my cat became sick again. Thank you to all the care team!

I went to Urgent Care and the staff was amazing with my doggie. He was treated so well and I felt so comfortable with them giving him his much needed love and care. They have followed up a few times to check on him and I appreciate that very much. I also love their rewards program!

We live in the Longview/Kelso area. When we had an emergency come up with our pets we could not find anywhere local that could see them. I am soooo glad that in my exhaustive and stressful search calling around, we came across East Padden Animal Hospital.. They were literally a life safer for our dog. Not only could they get him in right away, but everyone was so nice, friendly, compassionate, and professional. They follow strict guidelines for safety regarding COVID guidelines. Pull-up, text them your information and they come out to get your pet. (Don't forget your mask) I shortly received a call from a super nice doctor explaining what they discovered and options as well as cost. After that initial visit, they followed up multiple times checking on him to make sure things were clearing up and he was doing better. Unfortunately, he took a turn and they quickly got him back in. Everywhere else nearby had appointments months out. I was/am, SO Thankful for finding East Padden Animal Hospital. I have had the same experience with the quality of care for our other pets. Just know at first it may take a bit to get through, just call back and listen to the options to speak with someone. If you don't get through, call back and do that again. Don't get discouraged, just call back, but make sure to go through the options to get to someone. Leaving a voicemail or email does tend to take longer. They can get pretty busy, so just keep that in mind. Overall, I definitely HIGHLY recommend them.

100% the most caring and considerate vet I have ever been to. You can tell everything about them is genuine and they truly love your pet like they're family!

I switched to this animal hospital to try them after looking at the reviews. My previous vet clinic had great vets, but the rest of staff was all very chaotic, long waiting times, not very client/ customer service friemdly etc, so I worried about my pets. No reminders when my pets vaccines are due. After the 2nd visit with East Padden, I decided to switch all my pets over to them. Everyone that I have encountered in person and by phone have been nothing but courteous/caring, explain everything, the technicians are very knowledgeable. This is Also a Very Busy Place, but it is managed much differently, it is professional, caring, with understanding for your pets needs. I would Highly Recommend East Padden Animal Hospital.

I took my dog in for an emergency visit due to her having a weird lump. Was a fast visit. Well since seeing the vet she’s started to pee herself whenever a leash goes on..after my boyfriend and I worked with her to break. I also called yesterday (11/16/21) and asked for help because she’s supposed to be on bed rest and has chewed up every bed that we’ve bought her, she also started peeing again after finally breaking her of it a month ago! I was told the vet would reach out to but instead an assistant reached out to me and didn’t give me any helpful information! I’m now having to retrain my dog to stop peeing herself and have to figure out how to actually give her bed rest without wasting money ????. This place is 100% not helpful! Not to mention that I literally have to call over and over again to get ahold of anyone. The night of my visit I literally had to text the number they have setup for people waiting outside just get ahold of anyone!

I have brought all my fur babies here since relocating to Vancouver and I am so impressed and grateful for East Paden and their staff from their vets to their techs. Unfortunately, my sweet Fluffy had to be put down in emergency. I know they did everything they could and even called me a few days later to check in. Steve had to go in for urgent surgery and I know he got all the love he needed in my absence. THEY CARE! Thank you for taking such great care of them!

One of the best experience I've had for vet care is at East Padden Animal Hospital. Starting with good parking spaces, vet tech being very concern for the well being of my dog, and the calls from office & Dr. Livington informing me of how the procedure went & follow ups.

Our dog was throwing up blood and I was not able to get her in with our regular vet or other near by animal hospitals, but when I called East Padden Animal Hospital they were able to get her right in. They ran all the necessary tests and took great care of our dog. We couldn’t ask for better care for her. We will definitely return in the future and bring our dog back for routine visits.

East Padden Animal Hospital is awesome. They handled my dog, that has separation anxiety with great care. The appointment was timely our Veterinarian listed to my concerns and made me part of the team for my dog.

My cat had a bite on his neck that looked very bad. On Thursday myself and my neighbor started calling vets. My regular vet could get him in on Monday. My neighbor found the east Padden veterinarian clinic which saw him on Friday morning. The wait was a bit long but the got a treatment plan set up and not quite a week later his wound is healing quite well.

I received very thorough and professional service for my dog with Dr Tracy Thompson. They were also able to get my dog in to be seen on short notice. I would certainly recommend this office!

This place was really good and took care of my two dogs for a while, in fact one of my dogs still goes there and from what we see he’s a favorite. But Unfortunately i had to put down one of my animals which I loved dearly. I can’t hold it against them because that’s their job but I can’t look at that place anymore without tearing up. But today I did receive a letter from them with their condolences and that was very appreciated. They all personally signed as well so you know that they aren’t just printing a letter and sending it to any household.
