TLDR: Camp Good Puppy actively ignores the health concerns of dogs in their care. I do NOT recommend this business. My dog came home limping with an injury that camp did not inform me of. I sent an email, and their response late the next day was to say that they “forgot” to tell me, and that they “didn’t think he was injured” (even though they saw him jump off the trampoline and limp away, saying that their dogs “do the same thing”). I am now dollars shy of $2,000 in vet bills, including a surgery to correct my dog's grade three medial luxating patella injury. Camp still hasn’t responded to this in any capacity (and they’ve had more than a week to respond). While accidents happen, those who work for Camp Good Puppy are negligent, and this is not the first time that they have neglected to respond or react to my dog’s health concerns. As other reviews have said, don’t bring your dog here if you love them.

We have been taking our 8 month old puppy to Camp Good Puppy since he was 4 months old and have had nothing but wonderful experiences! We’ve utilized the daycare services weekly and have done a few boarding stays. Our pup gets so excited to go to camp and runs to the workers, just as fast as he runs to us ???? We love reading the report cards they provide and can tell everyone truly cares for our dog! He gets to go to camp and run around in fields and just be a dog. So thankful Camp Good Puppy is nearby!

Today was intro day and I couldn't have been more impressed not only from the knowledge Wendy shared with me bit to the excitement I could see in my pup just being able to engage with other dogs and have room to run.

Let me first start by saying I rarely leave a negative review. This wasn't a "Camp Good Puppy" experience at all for our dog. It was more like a "Camp Bad Puppy" experience. The staff here doesn’t care about your dog or your dog’s health. Three weeks ago we took him here for a trial and things went well. We were excited because we found a place we thought we could trust while on vacation. When we picked him up last Friday, he was immediately limping and scared. No explanation other than “he got sap today on his foot and we tried to get it off.” He also had a terrible ear infection he was clearly scratching. Definitely shocked and concerned, I gave the benefit of the doubt by calling the owner. The explanation? “I guess he has an ear infection.” And they didn’t give him his flea and heart worm medication either like they promised. The most frustrating part is the complete lack of concern and communication. Cierra, the woman who brought him to us, didn’t seem concerned in the least bit and left us on our way. They never called or emailed us to let us know he was having issues. We were freaking out. Imagine picking up your dog and the first thing you see is him scared and limping. What we noticed immediately was swelling and mucus on his ear. And his right front and right back paws had swollen toes and were balding. We called emergency vets to get him in. This happed on 5pm on a Friday. We set something up and were driving we call to talk to the owner, Wendy. We let her know what’s going on and she immediately gets defensive. “I don’t know what you’re talking about…he had such a fun time with us.” No acknowledgement, no concern, no apology. Nothing. In a 13 minute conversation, I maybe talked 2 minutes. It was like she didn’t even care that we were about to wait six hours to get him into the vet or any concern for our dog. She was more concerned with defending herself and saying he had a good time. They didn’t offer to help us find a vet, or offer an apology of any sort. Again, the major issue is the LACK of communication. They never told us he was having issues. And they didn’t give him his flea or tick medication like they said they would either. And didn’t communicate it. I highly recommend avoiding this place. The staff and the owner does not care about your dog. And if something comes up, they won’t take ownership or communicate with you. This end up costing us close to a $500 vet bill. They didn't refund us any of the amount we paid them for boarding and none of the vet bill either.

Our dogs have been going to Camp Good Puppy for over 12 years. Our dogs are always excited to arrive there and see their friends. We love Camp Good Puppy almost as much as the dogs love it. Excellent care and fun times!!

Camp Good Puppy takes the best care of our pup. They're professional, knowledgeable, experienced, and truly caring. Found this place about a year ago and we are thankful we did. They have helped us so much with our dog's high energy. Thanks!

They take such good care of my dog! He loves going here. Also they give you a report on your dogs stay and it is my favorite thing! They let you know what you're dog did well and what needs to be improved on. The picture is part of my dogs report card.

Pricing isn't very competitive, owner comes on a little strong with the environmental stuff. Place is clean and organized. Dogs sleep in kennels at night and are out running all day.

I toured their property with owner. She gave a great overview of their program and how it has been in her family since they opened. The faculty was well set up and open plan Good flow for incoming and out going pets. When viewing the kennel area it was clean and bright and organized. This camp is a balance of play and rest. Not a good fit for smaller dogs unless they interact well with other breeds and sizes. Good positive visit and tour. A nice fit for weekly day care and for a fee days boarding.

What a great place for dogs. The staff is so loving and well trained. I love that the dogs are able to be free and play in a safe environment while we are away (not in cage most the day). My dogs have doggie friends from camp and it is so fun when they see each other out in the world.

I have been taking my dogs to camp good puppy for 18 years. They love going there. They always come home happy and tired. I live in Milwaukie oregon and it’s worth the trip for me to have peace of mind and heart that my pets will be taken care of so well.

I love this place and my dog does too! It’s in the country they get to smell the air and be socialized with other dogs, while being who they are individually. I feel like my dog gets the attention she needs while staying safe. And I love the stuff they are receptive and caring and reliable. Thanks so much for being there camper good puppy!

I have been taking my dogs to camp good puppy for about 13 years now. They are not only a big part of our life, but a second home for my dogs. my dog goes twice a week, and at least one weekend a month. My dog knows when it is Camp day. she stands by the door with excitement and enthusiasm. looking forward to play with her friends she comes home content and wiped out. usually on her side before we leave their driveway. Am I being asked if I would recommend CGP to others ? of course I would.

Positive treatment; Camp good puppy is wonderful. My two golden retrievers seem excited to go there. I know I see more confidence in the female who use to be nervous around other dogs. My male golden is a bit of a opportunist and can get himself into trouble but they handle him well. He is lovely but high energy. It was important to me that my dogs are happy. It seems to be a happy place. Quality staff; The staff are caring and attentive to the dogs. There seems to be a good ratio of people to pets. I appreciate all of them truly. Wendy, Andrea..., wish I could remember all their names. I appreciate the attention to personal pet needs too. Most of all, I really like that they are good to my pets. I like to tip because I know they work hard. Another reason I send my dogs is that I feel they like them. Pet Access: I like that there are choices for the dogs so if they want to go inside they can. Plus there is climate control for hot or cold weather. There are options, more than most places. There is a covered area for rainy days, inside the barn, places for older dogs or special needs animals to be safe, rotating for excercising and resting the dogs. I especially like the field walks though. It was critical that my dogs NOT be locked up and confined, bored and sad. This is another reason why I picked this place. Dogs are not miserable and in small places like many other pet care centers. Camp Good Puppy gives natural experiences. Dogs need to excercise and have room. I love that they are tired from playing each day. Health/safety I worry about diseases and safety from other pets naturally. I have been assured that the basics are required from pet owners. I like the chemical free approach and clean feeding. All dogs have a behavioral screenings too. The leash and collar off inside the compound makes sense too. They have protocol for picking up and dropping off pets that make sense. This place has a clear emergency plan and someone is on the grounds at all time. That is important to me.It means that the dogs have someone close by in a crisis. The staff are trained In emergency procedures like CPR too. I visited a lot of places and so far I am happy with the choice. My pets are too. Thank you Camp Good Puppy!

The greatest doggie daycare in portland or vancouver area, I would not take my 2 dogs anywhere else. They may come home tired and dirty, but they've had the time of their lives. There staff really know there dog's.
