Usually awesome customer service from front desk! but I had called..hoping to see if could possible get in sooner or cancellations (because obviously something more serious seems to be going on with my dog) and the lady laughed at me….not exactly what you want to hear when you got something going on with your animal and they are your primary vet! Update! Rose is amazing!! Definitely want to speak to her when you call!! was able to call me with cancellations!

Expensive but good service and they cook care of our dog.

I love this vet. They are so kind and seem to really care about the animals. Every time I have an emergency they try their darnedest to get Wally in.

I highly recommend Union avenue veterinary! They have continually provided care to all of my 4 legged children, in particular our cat Orion! Orion was diagnosed with cancer last year and has been receiving his chemo treatment (pills administration) from the compassionate caring staff from union avenue veterinary as my son and I would rather have the trained staff there administer the treatment for us as we would prefer not to break the circle of trust with Orion! First time going here. Very friendly and fast. Usually dog is super clingy after vet visit because it scares him so bad. This time he came out tail wagging and was instantly like his normal self! My new all time vet

Great caring staff. Fair prices. My Gus Hoover leaves happy and healthy. They allow the pet parent to accompany the patient now. This was my dog's third visit and my first time to accompany him.

They really have a well organized system for taking care of animals here. We’ve taken our dogs here to be cared for , to get their shots and do all the routine medical maintenance for a decade now. Caring doctors and staff who really love animals. Currently to encourage social distancing in their small office you will be asked to wait in your car while you’re waiting to be seen and while you’re waiting for your animal to be seen.

Dr. Chan was friendly and helpful in my search for separation anxiety solutions for both my adopted doggers.

i was calling around tacoma for days trying to get my sick kitten into the vet. union ave is the only one that worked with me and stayed in contact to get me an appointment as soon as possible. they were incredibly polite during the appointment and treated my little cat with so much care. and they are far more affordable than most vets i’ve seen. will be switching over to this vet with all 3 of my animals.

Even though it was a sad day for my dad's dog was put down. The service received was honesty the greatest. The staff took there time with my dad and gave him all his options and with such kindness it made the saddest moment manageable. Thank you for being so great with owners in there time of need.

We have taken our pets here for as long as we have been in WA. Affordable. Helpful staff. Not too difficult to get an appt that works with my schedule. Parking can be a challenge at times.

Friendly staff. The vet will answer all your questions and i never felt rushed. They reply quickly if you email them about concerns. what's not to like about this place? My puppy corgi always had a good experience (IG: handsomepantsthecorgi) Easily 5 stars.

Got my dog in right away, good pricing, lots of parking room. Just neutered my boy and used dissolving stitches, when I picked him up he was fine and this is the best animal neuter I've ever experienced. Really nice and caring staff.

I've been taking my pets to Jones Animal Hospital for the better part of 10 years. I started taking my ferrets there, as Jones was the only doctor in the Tacoma area who seemed comfortable with ferrets. Eventually I switched my dogs to Jones and recently my new kitten. The staff at Jones Animal hospital are courteous and professional. They clearly care for their animal patients. I've never felt like they've tried to push unwarranted tests or procedures on me. After several years now, I refer all my friends and family to Jones Animal Hospital. I will be taking my pets here for the rest of their lives. EDIT: I've been seeing a lot of edited and new reviews commenting on the new owners and their business practices. I will admit that I've never seen them busier than during my last few visits. I'm not sure if they are overbooking or not. That being said, I've taken my pets in twice since Dr. Jones retired and I have not noticed a change in the quality (or price) of the care my pets have received. While some of the stories on Google and Yelp about dealing with the new owners are worrisome, that has not been my experience. In fact, I recently took my cat in for an urgent issue and I found the experience to be fine. They saw us quickly and on time. The care they recommended seemed great and the tests they recommended were in-line with the issue my cat was experiencing. Finally, the price seemed reasonable for an emergency visit. I was a long-time client of Jones Animal Hospital and I'll certainly be keeping an eye on the new owners. But, for now, I am happy with the service and care my pets have received and will continue to take them to Union Ave Vet Hospital.

My appointment will be on the 3rd for the first time so I don't know how they are. But they were nice over the phone.

Great vet, was able to get our pet in within a week or two rather than several months of waiting. Taking new patients. Very friendly, great at discussing your concerns and taking care of your pets!

Found our New Vet! I am so pleased with my choice! Its nice to find a place that genuinely Cares about the animals and they don't make it financially impossible to provide care! Im SO grateful, and relieved. Thank you to those at Union Ave Vet! Titus is doing Great!!

The doctors are good but their billing person, Rayna, was rude and condescending. The person who took the payment ran my card and said it didn't go through and so my mother paid with her card. I then see that my card was charged the $1044 vet bill I called to straighten it out but Rayna did not want to help figure it out and became increasingly rude. I will be finding another vet to use because they are knew and maybe they need to work on training staff to be more helpful and less condescending since I did spend over a thousand dollars there.
