Great Veterinary Hospital that has pleasant staff and a clean environment. We have been taking our dog here for just over 8 years and they have always had fair pricing and honest advice. Typically if I call in and dont get an immediate answer then i get help within the day. The Veterinarian's are very knowledgeable and always make my dog feel very comfortable, she has suffered from a bit of anxiety issues as she's aged. I recommend family and friends to Soundview Veterinary Hospital whenever someone is looking.

I haven't been able to get here as I am unable to drive now. But I would like to say that these are some of the best and caring Veterinarians and staff in the city. The front desk is knowledgeable and attentive exam rooms are exceptionally clean; and cleaned in between patients the wall murals are soothing if not for the pet, definitely the pet parents.

If I ever have an emergency they accommodate and get me in right away or within a few business days. I have been going here for 4 years and I've taken a lot of different animals to them. They were great with my bearded dragons, my ball pythons, cat and hamster. Its the best priced vet I have ever been too, especially with exotics. I never leave spending an astronomical amount, especially compared to places like the VCA. Charged me 1000 to tell me my cat has asthma and they only charged me 130 with visit, xray and medication. The VCA wouldn't give me her records so I had to go through the process again. All around best vet experience and I love them.

We've been taking Fiona to Soundview since 2018. They are on top of all her health needs. She has had a mastectomy for breast cancer, teeth cleaning, and diagnosis and care for Cushings disease. They took her in as an emergency case recently for a stomach ailment. I trust these guys. The only thing I don't like is the frequent change of doctors. We get to the point when we have a rapport and history with a doctor, and they move on. Hoping the current doctor stays for a while.

10 out of 5 stars! How does one achieve this? By going far above and beyond any expectations. Ive been going here for years and have always been very satisfied with the staff and veterinarians. However the events over the past few weeks really had a lasting impact on me. Let me start by saying, at the time of writing this (late 2021), it’s going to be difficult to get in quickly. Unfortunately veterinarians are not immune to the impact COVID has had on businesses operations. I’ll admit I was insensitive to this upon my last visits here, which I now regret immensely. It’s hard when one of our furry family members is sick. However, I was always treated with dignity and patience by the staff despite my difficult demeanor. They worked hard to get me in and I’m so grateful. Over the course of one day long visit and few days of attempted recovery, it became apparent that it was time to say goodbye to my long time companion of nineteen years. This is where those 10 stars were truly earned. Dr Sullivan was an ABSOLUTE Godsend. The amount of information she provided me for the plethora of ailments effecting my dear friend was astonishing. She talked on the phone with me in great length about what was happening, why it was happening and every possible solution we could try. And after we spoke, she sent me a long detailed email as well with everything I needed to know. Seriously, I’ve never had this level of knowledge provided from a doctor of man or beast. She was also present for the euthanasia. It was done in the best possible way and went so smoothly. It was done with the respect and compassion my best companion deserved. There is NO doubt that Dr Sullivan and the staff of Soundview really care for these animals. My cat felt comfortable with her, and that I’d never seen. Never. I really can not express enough how fortunate I feel to have had these people there for this difficult moment. I wouldn’t take my pets anywhere else. Thank you Dr Sullivan and staff of Soundview. Your efforts shone like a brilliant beacon in an event of immense darkness for me.

Soundview is the best vet I have ever found. They are fair on pricing and have the best, kindest staff. You can tell when your pet is unhappy or uncomfortable in a vet's office and my cat, Nala, is right at home every time we visit. The most recent visit I was allowed in the room with her again, and she was exploring the room, rubbing on the staffs legs. She felt right at home. Thank you to all who work at Soundview vet for making it a great experience when we come in!

I've visited this vet once before a few years ago, and I don't remember the experience being anything that really stood out to me in am extremely positive light. It's possible that it was owned by a different company then. That being said, this time around was excellent and worth the 3 week wait (getting a vet appt anywhere during COVID is more difficult than you'd think). The Veterinary Assistant (I believe that's her title and I apologize for forgetting her name) was polite, friendly, and took the time to take really good notes about both of my dogs, who are senior in age. I got the feeling that she really enjoyed working with the patients (pets) who come in for care. Dr. Johnson was incredible. To say that this lady is on top of her game is an understatement. She was thorough in her examination of both dogs, and noted some things that I missed, as well as those I suspected based on my own interactions with my pets and the research I had done on the internet (which can be a slippery slope, so its nice to have a trustworthy vet). She let me know what kind of testing she thought would be good, and what long term options would be for ensuring the comfort and care of both dogs. She was knowledgeable, informative, practical, and - best of all - compassionate. Both of these ladies are the reason for such a glowing review of this place and this business is lucky to have them. A+ experience.

Soundview diagnosed my cat with something slowly fatal, then shamed me for deciding not to torture her with additional expensive testing and treatment which would only give her an extra year max, so we sought care elsewhere.... where I found out that Soundview misdiagnosed her and she had something totally treatable that they missed the major signs of. I've heard similar horror stories since, some resulting in fatalities.

Started taking our dogs and cats here a few years ago. One of my dogs was diagnosed with a thyroid issue and needed daily medication. It started out fine, but after a few months it became harder and harder to get in touch with someone for a refill and my dog eventually ran out of medication. I decided to take her to another vet and they ran a full senior panel. Turns out she didn't have a thyroid issue and never did judging by the files that were transferred from Soundview to her. I was medicating my dog unnecessarily. I was and still am extremely upset about this.

I had some reservations with past vets at Soundview, but then Dr. Johnson came into to the picture. She is awesome! Very accommodating and she seems to really care about the animals.

We moved to the area a few months ago and had a hard time finding a vet that was accepting new clients. One of our friends suggested we call Soundview Vet and I am so glad that we did! We have two Bernese Mountain dogs. One who needed to be seen for an evaluation to get neutered, and the other who just needed some vaccinations. I was a bit anxious not being able to go into the office with them because our older guy is a bit aloof around strangers. The check in process was extremely easy and seamless, and the vet techs who came to get the boys from the car were absolutely wonderful and so in tune with our older guys needs. The Vet who called after she finished her exam with the boys was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything to me. I have never been so impressed by a vets office! Thank you Soundview Vet for providing top notch veterinary services!

See all the good reviews.. But I apparently don't hit the good Days.. The actual Vets are always very courteous.. But their receptionists are always very curt and dont give constructive options.. Especially if your dog needs quick attention.. I've taken my Dog There since she was born.. Not no more. Called Vet clinic in Proctor District.. Immediately helped me and gave me useful Information.. I should have used them earlier.. They were great with my last Dog.. If you need quick attention don't use Soundview.. And My Dogs Life Matters!!!....... Update.. Soundview was very gratuitous and reached out to me and my problem concerning Payton.. We have since resolved our issues.. Thank You..

This place is wonderful! They take amazing care of the pets and have the best policies in place of any business right now. They really care about our health, the health of our pets, and the health of their employees. Thank you for keeping everyone safe and healthy! Edit: we’ve since decided to switch vets as the care we used to receive is no longer standard. Multiple miscommunications and mismanagement in the office. Cant get an appointment for anything closer than a month out when my pet needs to be tested for a time sensitive issue. Not an emergency but not a standard checkup and they won’t get us in earlier than 4 weeks out. Quality of service has really dropped since this last summer.

We started bringing our dog here when we lived in Tacoma. We no longer live in Tacoma, but we still brought our pet to Soundview and plan to continue bringing future pets here. All staff are so kind, helpful, and professional. I would definitely recommend this vet to anyone looking.

Management is now terrible and heartless. Just a couple months ago i had a payment plan where i can take my animal in then pay on the first, so I thought i would be able to do that when my black lab is having an emergency. Nope. They turned her away and got snippy. Even though i have good credit with them, have payed on time and even before i said i would, new management suddenly decides they arent going to make anymore payment plans. If your looking for a low-cost vet or anything of the sort, i do not recommend this place. Now my black lab has to wait until the first to get help, and she cant even walk. Terrible management, not flexible in any way, if you go here make sure you have the money on hand or else its a no go.

My local small town Vet retired and closed the door. I tried another clinic across town and after one visit with my dog I knew I had to look further. I found Soundview and have always been happy with the service for my dogs. They are well organized and timely with appointments. I believe them to be quite responsive to any concerns brought up. I am going to continue to trust them with my loved ones.

We used to take our pets here (2 cats and a dog) and were pleased with the care they provided to our animals. Then, about 3 years ago we had to bring our family dog in to be euthanized. The vet completely botched it! She only got half the dose injected and our lovely old boy was yelping in pain as it slowly was killing him. She appeared to panic and did not know what to do next. Now, at this point, I was less than polite to her as I was watching my best friend writhe in agony and look to me for help. She finally took him into another room and finished the job. My wife and I left for home and sobbed the entire time. To this day, it was one of the worst experiences of my life. Oh, they tried to make amends by retracting our bill of $375 for the "procedure". I'm sure they are nice people and to be fair, the other. times we've taken animals there prior to this, they did a great job. However, this one event has completely affected me and my opinion of this establishment.

We recently (this weekend) had to put our 14 year old golden retriever down. She had quickly deteriorated over a weekend and we brought her in on a Sunday to have her examined. They were kind, professional and even during this time came out to discuss her prognosis. We knew it wasn't going to be good but they were frank, detailed and discussed not only her but us as well. I can only say that if every vet was as thorough, professional and amazing as these people every pet would have amazing care. What they did for us we can never thank them enough.

I truly cannot speak highly enough of Soundview and all of their staff. The front desk is always friendly and helpful. The clinic is always clean and well kept. The entire vet team and Drs are incredible. They are patient, kind, educated, and have a great deal of compassion. We've been here many times and I will not go anywhere else unless I absolutely have to. The caring nature of the staff when we said goodbye to our 16 year old kitty was above and beyond what I expected. They were so patient and loving with us and our fur baby. They made her last moments comfortable and filled with love. Saying goodbye is never easy, so I really appreciate the effort they put in to making everything as smooth as possible. I would definitely recommend Soundview to any pet owner.

We moved to this area from Seattle last year where we had been going to the same bet for 20 years. It was hard to leave them because their service was so wonderful and their attitudes were always kind and friendly. We stumbled on Soundview when our animals needed to have their shots renewed for their licenses and this place was right around the corner. What a find!! They are every bit as kind, friendly, and compassionate as the vet we left behind and are always ready to help with whatever ails our menagerie. They are very accommodating when making appointments and are prompt to reply to emails. I would recommend this service to anyone who is looking for compassionate care for their pets.

I can not share enough good things about this clinic. Their staff has gone above and beyond for my needs. My 16 year old cat was progressively getting thinner, and they took his condition very seriously. I called one Monday morning because he had stopped eating and they got him in right away. They worked with my early morning schedule when he had to be hospitalized for a couple days. We saw Dr. Valenti through all of this, even though she was filling in for another doc. She discussed every detail with me, and only did the tests and treatments I was comfortable with. She provided all the support I needed, and when I eventually came to the decision to euthanize, she was very comforting throughout the process-allowing me to be with my kitty during, even with the current restrictions. The staff and techs here are caring, supportive, and comforting and I will continue to take my other kitty here in the future. I’ll miss my Mickey, but I will remember the compassionate care that you all gave him. Thank you ❤️

Yesterday the Vet at Soundview answered my concerns about my cat and was able to resolve issues and worked with me so I could afford the treatment she needed. I am very grateful to all the staff for their care and attention. Have taken her to Soundview in the past and they have always been fair and kind.
