The staff there were so great the doctor was really good and my kitty feels better.

I seriously cannot believe this man is still in business. Now that I see he is I will again report him to the dept for vetrinary health and to the Tacoma Health Dept. As this place is unsanitary and unhealthy for all living things. Guilty of gross unprofessionalism, and after what happened to my credit card right after using it there. I believe he should be audited and investigated for malpractice.

We took our 11 year old lab mix to Affordable Vet Clinic to check into an issue he was having with his sinuses that was causing swelling around an eye. The vet took a cursory look at him and advised we needed to pull a tooth for an estimated $500. We disagreed the issue was the tooth but did not get further offers of solutions. We left with antibiotics and allergy meds. The vet never offered X-rays, anti inflammatories, or eye drops. When the antibiotics did not work we went to another vet and found out our pup has a aggressive brain tumor. I would not recommend this vet for anything serious. I honestly would not recommend this vet at all.

I came here during the Pandemic. Because no other vet was accepting new customers. My first day was okay.. I called to ask if I could purchase meds without a appointment. The second time I came here was for a refill on ear infection meds that I was seen for on the first day. Possibly get flea Meds and was refused to just buy them and was told that I had to make a appointment. Then I waited 1hr after my appointment time was scheduled to start. In hopes to just get meds that worked for my 3 year old dog. The Vet doctor came into the room and gave my dog shots that I didn't ask for. In the process of hurting him with the needle slipping out of his hand. Before that happening, The doctor gave me a estimate and then raised the prices while I was standing at the front desk ready to pay. While the lady at the desk was just stressed out. In my opinion was for no reason. I was just ready to leave because I was getting stressed out. I understand this place is probably family owned or something but seeing how old this doctor is. I feel like he should retire. Or pay his employee more.

So friendly, understanding, always willing to help

The vet came in to give my dog shots and told us we are feeding our dog too much that she is fat for her age and so we ask how much she should weigh he says no more than 24 lbs but she only weighs 18 so tell me how he can even tell how much she weighs when she has her sweater on anyways. Then asks us if she has ever been seen there before when she has by the previous owners for her first shots. Shouldn’t he already know this if he looked at her chart before he came in the room to us. I would never return my dog there again!

The Vet and nurse were super compassionate and kind to our cat, the rooms were very clean and they were experienced with dealing with anxious upset animals.

I would rate this business a 0 if I could as I was never even seen. On Friday 11/12/21 I had a 3:30 appointment. I parked right in front of the door and followed the instructions. I called and let them know I was there. Who ever answered the phone said they would be calling me in. My cat was stressed and had peed in his carrier. I waited and waited. Watched people come and go in after I came. I finally tried to call again and no one answered the phone it just rang. I stuck my head in the door and said "you didn't forget about me did you?" A young lady said no they just are really busy. I thought they were just behind and I was going to be last. At 5 pm I saw a girl looking out the window. I asked her had she forgotten me I had a 3:30 appointment. she looked at me with a puzzled face and said what was your pets name. Said she was sorry and there was nothing she could do. I asked her "what are you saying you're not going to see my pet?" The vet wasn't even there and had left at 4pm. My poor cat had spent over 2 hours in his carrier and it was past his eating time. He had meowed the whole time. She made a lot of excuses and really didn't sound sorry. She was new, it was her first day etc. There were other workers there and they should have been tracking their appointments. What a horrible experience.

Always very good treatment and reasonable.

There is no way this vet is licensed. We brought my boyfriend’s dog in for a scheduled (and unfortunately, very needed) euthanasia appointment. Nothing about this place seemed sanitary. The way the vet handled the dog (which was clearly in pain) was disturbing; he was rough and pulled and poked at him. When he couldn’t find a vein (because of some fluid buildup beneath the skin) he tried multiple times on two legs and DID NOT BANDAGE any of these wounds that were bleeding. Sent us away without service and didn’t even bandage his legs. Was incredibly traumatic for dog and owner. Do not risk your dog’s safety, life, or comfort here.

Nurses were super sweet, but the vet feels questionable. Saw our dog for 2 seconds while she was nervous due to another dog's presence and decided that she need to be sedated instead of just putting a muzzle on her. She's not people aggressive. Just concerned that that was the conclusion he jumped to first without even meeting her. Then he wanted us to go to a different vet after sedating her, when we left to get this done, the vet called back to say there was a mixup and they didn't want to see her today but schedule a new appointment. Will not be returning here, but staff other than main vet were nice and they did waive the appointment fee for the small 10 minutes we were there.

Took my 12 year old Boston here because she had an enlarged lymph node. I was assuming the worst but the staff helped cool me down and took a look at her. At the end if the day it was just infected, they gave me anti biotic, gave her an antibiotic shot, and then gave me a walk through on treatment including a warm compress. Pretty standard care, but when the doctor and the staff talked to me about the process they gave some instructions that would help me comfort her, thingsnthay might lead to it, and just general friendly advice about my dog. I found it really comforting and felt like talking to my family doctor from when I was younger, someone genuinely interested in mine and my dogs comfort. Will definitely be back.

I have mixed feelings about my pet's care this past week. The staff were all super nice and helpful, but I don't feel like I got as much out of my vet visit as I would have liked. I am an over prepared pet parent who comes to vet visits with a written bio and info sheet for my pets (I used to work in the vet world and know that a lot gets lost in translation or clients forget everything they want to discuss when they actually get in the room, so I try to prepare), but even after getting in the "room", which feels kind of like the size of a changing room, nothing was really discussed besides the main complaint. I tried to go further into detail with the DVM, but felt ignored. Overall, I think this place is great for if you have a quick issue and just need a one time visit between going to your regular, but I'm not sure about using them as a primary vet.... Great for getting into quickly though. The DVM definitely took my anxiety with worst case scenarios regarding my pets away, which I'm grateful for while I look for a more permanent vet office to go.

The doctor here is very experienced and did a wonderful job spaying and neutering my kittens. The staff was very patient and helpful.

I had to put my beloved Butterball (guinea pig) down in a hurry, as she was ancient and suffering from an incurable condition. I was so grateful that they could squeeze me in when nobody else could, on a holiday, and they did so thoughtfully and professional. I am truly grateful for their services and will recommend this to anyone I know.

Great place. Very affordable if your needing your animals care fast. Fast service also. Doctors explained everything we needed to know up front and asked about anything else we were unsure about.

Dr Walia did me a solid and showed me some sympathy since I am dealing with Pierce county animal control and their strong arm tactics(Spend as much as a vet says or they take your animal and charge you with a crime). Dr. Walia lessened that state mandated financial threat by helping me find the solutions while providing excellent prices(My cats leg was injured by a wild animal attack). He is one of the very few vets I found, that is not robbing everyone blind with "Covid" charges, extra fees, etc etc. A strait to the point business. Its not fancy but most people appreciate reasonable. He did not charge me that "emergency fee" every other place is charging. His rate was spectacular! 50% or more in some instances less than most of the places.

Over all good experience. Wish the dr was more affectionate.

Do not take your animals here you take the risk of them being a victim of unprofessionalism in the medical practice, someone close to me took his dog here and they over-sedated his tiny little chihuahua and she passed away, if anyone is still reading and need like my personal experience or the closest thing to it so my mother took our dog here and they pretty much gave her more sedative then needed and kept her for 3hrs after. (also I would like to add even the medicine that they suggested didn't work and we ended up finding other stuff that helps)

This place is amazing. The Dr and his office staff walked me through my fears as a cat parent The were do very kind. They are my new vet from now on thank you affordable animal hospital

I went in for a vaccine/shot. The area was a little weird, but the service isn't bad. Receptionists are really nice. The veterinarian wasn't rude in my opinion. The procedure was done really quickly and he asked if I had any concerns or questions. My only complaint would be the fact that records aren't printed unless asked for, which is really weird to me.

A typical clinic setting. I was glad for the affordable price but the doctor was in and out very fast without any time to ask him how my dog's health was or any other questions. The nurses were nice though. The doctor clipped my dog's toenail short enough to make it bleed, but I understand accidents happen.

Please, for the love of your family pet… do not bring your pets here… Rest In Peace to our baby dog…
