Took my dog there just now because I thought there might be a stick stuck in his teeth, called prior to see what they can do and they gave no advice, told me to bring him in so he can have a look. Once arrived I was asked to weigh my own dog and wait in the waiting room. The vet then said they have to sedate him by injection to even look at him. There was no questions asked about his behaviour or symptoms. I didn’t want to sedate him as i had the same thing happen with my other dog and there was no sedation required by the other vet. If they told me they required to sedate him at this clinic over the phone I would never of taken him in. I said I would see if i can get his mouth open today and bring him back tomorrow for sedation if he was still having issues. Overall i was in the clinic for 10 minutes about 7 of them were waiting, 1 minute was an interaction with the Vet (who didn’t even touch or look at the dog) and 2 minutes was the vet raising their voice at me when i questioned the $40 bill for doing nothing. I saw some bad reviews saying they are all about transactions and not about animals before taking my dog there last time to get teeth removed and fixed. I now see why these reviews are there as they didn’t seem concerned whatsoever of my dog and were all about making a quick buck.

We had a life threatening emergency with our cat Oscar. After trying another vet we came to Dr. Bill to see if he could help us. He fit us into their busy day and took him in. We would not have him with us today if it were not for his care. He was kind and compassionate, he knew how upset we were and he made sure to take time from his busy day to call us and update us on how Oscar was doing. The staff was also so kind and helpful. He is not one to sit and hold your hand all day. He is very busy helping many families, I think some people who posted a few of the other reviews forget that. His job is to help your pet. Not to be a counselor. He helped us, was understanding and kind, and now we have our fur baby home and healthy again. I could not ask for more and will be seeing him for our next checkups. Thank you!!

Brought my dog to this vet about concerns of a bump near his eye lid area, as this clinic was located close to my workplace. As soon as I walked in, I should have trusted my gut reaction and left. Huge waste of time and money. The clinic has 2 cats, which were the most overweight cats I have ever seen. I felt horrid for them, as their weights were visibly soo unhealthy. Still, I regrettably stayed for my appointment. When the vet came to our room, I showed him the small bump on my dog. Right away, he told me my options for paying for surgery. Surgery? I was shocked. He hadn't told me anything yet and right away dove into discussing surgical procedure and the price point (well over $1,000.00). I completely understand that it's impossible to just "know" how serious a small bump can be; however, I expected that they would provide me with some educated "insight" before just talking to me about money. I am well aware that things can be surgically removed. I did not need to come in to pay the exam fee for him not to examine my dog and just to tell me the price of surgery. I literally could have gotten this basic information over the phone from any other vet and not have to come waste my time and money. The vet saw the shock on my face and was obviously waiting for me to say yes or no to the surgery right then and there, so I had to awkwardly ask him if I could think about it.... The vet was visibly annoyed once I asked if I could think about it. They seriously were expecting me right then and there just to walk in to a new clinic, hear absolutely no insight from the vet, and agree to have them surgically operate on my dogs eyelid just like that? Please, if you love your animals, go to a different vet that cares about more than just making money.

They are gas and quick. One of the best in Surrey Langley area.

Brought our 18 year old cat in when she wasn’t eating well. They did bloodwork, a urin test and a fluid drip. 1000$ later we picked her up again in the evening. They recommended to put her on a Veterinarian exclusive diet, do another round of blood work in a few days, X.Ray because “they heard something when they examined her” and some other test. This would’ve been another couple of thousand dollars. When we didn’t want to continue right away, the doc just walked out. We wanted to take the test results from blood and urin with us, but the urin test results they couldn’t find to this day. I feel they’re more interested in making money than helping my cat.

I can't thank Avon Animal Hospital enough for the care they provided my cat, my dog and the kindness they showed me as a pet owner. Recently my cat was very sick and we didn't know if he would make it. Avon saved his life, we are so grateful and so happy with the top notch care he received. The team is thorough, responsive, compassionate and go above and beyond for the pets and their owners. Highly recommend. -Melissa and Theo Schreder

The vet was so friendly and pleasant, he didn't try to just charge me and sell me everything he could. I could tell he really cared. All the staff was very nice.

Dr Bill and Kayla were great with my 12 old puppy, Aspen! They did all her vaccinations, so quick and efficiently that my puppy didn’t even notice. In addition to that, they were personable and kind, while giving me advice on my puppy and instructions to follow as she grows! Great first experience!

I took Kenji our youngest member of the family for his first shots. Saurabh was very thorough with his initial check up, explained to me what shots are given and what it is for. Answered my questions about side effects. The office was very nice, open and they did not just had me give Kenji and wait outside. They had me come in to comfort and be with my little guy. I am so impressed and I am so glad I based my decision on everyone's great review. Thank you Dr. Mrar! looking forward having you as our family Veterinarian.

I have been coming to Avon animal hospital since o got my dog over 11 years now . They have always been professional and informative. If there were any questions or problems I may have they have quick to responsive and overall make sure I am happy.

Dr Bill and his staff have been taking care of my dog for 14 years. The staff has always treated me with respect. I have not had any issues with the treatments Dr. Bill offers to my baby's care. Since Covid started the staff and office are doing their part to keep the customers safely apart including the use of masks for everyone. Thank you for the caring and service over the years.

I'm very confident and comfortable bringing my dog Lemmy here, friendly, helpful and professional. Was worried about bringing him in during this lockdown don't have to worry with this vet family. Thank-you

This vet is super reliable and professional. Avon animal hospital has it all. Kind, and respect. The cost of seeing the vet here is well priced. Before you go to any other vet ask for a quote and compare. Avon has staff that would be able to work out the numbers with you. The doctor there is super friendly.

We called last night with a very sick kitty. They made room for us today and walked us through our options. Once we chose the best course of acton, they supported us with a lot of understanding and care.

Friendly vet. 1 vet assistant is very knowledgeable. Another vet assistant definitely needs more training.

Extremely dissatisfied with the professionalism of the staffs there. The vet doctor was impatient, condescending and rude during my cat's visit. The nurse has no idea what she is doing because she gave me a list of vaccines for dogs. Does she not know the difference between a cat and a dog? How is someone like this qualify to work at a vet clinic? Worst thing is, they kept on selling me pet insurance. I bring in my cat for a checkup, please don't treat me like an ATM. I don't recommend anyone to bring their cats to this clinic. Period.

I have been dealing with Avon for probably a decade now. Dr. Bill and his team have cared for our family through thick and thin. I always know I am going to get a honest answer from the doctor and know that he is on the same page with my pets care as we are. Dr. Bill and his team have helped me through the simple of vaccinations through surgeries and also the death of pets. He never turns his back on sick animals and always gives us the best advice possible. We have had many other vets in the past as we are animal rescuers but would only trust ours now to the Avon team. Thank you for helping us through the best and worst of times.
