The Drs are good with the animals they get 4 stars. Staff is not so good with humans they get 2.5 stars.

RAPS literally saves lives. When Coco was found in distress by Nanaimo Animal Control on Vancouver Island, she needed significant surgery to repair her jaws, which could not be done on the island. RAPS stepped up and provided her surgery pro bono. Coco's case required coordination between several agencies who teamed up to rescue her, and RAPS could not have been more caring, generous, and willing to help. Please support this amazing agency.

We intro ourselves and then were able to visit the animal a month ago...something told us to take a picture of all 15plus pets that were on the list where our fav pet was located on and a month later they still did not give us the decision if our pet will be adopted to us and the 13 animals on the list we photographed are still there today...problem is we donate too much money to them and they are in no rush to unleash the animals from the cage and the most agonizing of this experience is to hear all the cries of the animals that are still trapped in those cages...time to go to SPCA where we got our pet 2 days after the visit and when we went back to give a gift to the folks working there ..almost all the pets were already adopted

I do not recommend RAPS for people looking to adopt a pet. The process is, in a word, ridiculous. In 2020 you should not have to wait 7 days to hear back on whether you have been 'selected' by the judges at RAPS. If you are thinking of donating money to this cause, look elsewhere. In my opinion the only "Protecting" going on at RAPS is protecting perfect candidates from adopting the animals they select.

Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. We found ACE the first second into the room. The process of adoption was very smooth. ACE is now getting along well with our another cat QQ. Thank you again for us to meet ACE!

Loving and amazing care at this NO-KILL Shelter for pets awaiting their forever home. The staff really knows the personalities of all the adoptable animals to ensure they are placed in the best fitting home.

I looked online to see if raps was open. It said it was open so I went there, when I got there the gate was closed. The sign on the gate said "closed to the public". I think they should update their website to "temporarily closed" to prevent confusion in the future. We went there today to see what's up to adopt. nice place with friendly staff.

Really nice facility. Lovely staff and the animals all seem incredibly well cared for.

Wonderful shelter. Very clean. You can interact with the cats. If we had room in our house we would have taken this guy home with us. You can even sit outside with the cats.

Yheu care about all animals

Lost my dog at a nearby park, someone found my dog then took him to this animal shelter. I called all the shelters around to locate my dog including this one, they replied they have not found any dogs matches mine. 2 weeks later I found out from my close friend who visited the shelter that my dog was there. Went there immediately, and was going to pick him up but they refused to return him to us because someone already in process of adopting him. My son was so broken hearted and my dog was howling in sadness when we walked out. This place is runs by crooks and thugs who might steal your pets then put them up without your consent and knowledge to make money thru adoptions. Should be shut down.

We adopted a bunny from here, the staff were amazing, friendly, patient and super helpful. I wish they would get some funding for a renovation.

Gave them a donation cat beds dog house litter boxes to help all the animals there they were very thankful which made my day.
