Caring and compassionate to a dog that was not easy

My lab needed a little TLC and they got him in and were able to help us get him all squared away. They also called back quickly and with kindness.

I had my first visit tonight and I was so impressed with the care! Angel is an amazing assistant and made sure my cat Beau was as relaxed as possible during his exam. I appreciate how attentive and sweet Angel was to Beau. Dr. Benedetto was very friendly and thorough. I am excited to establish care for the rest of my pets!

We have had a number of pets get their care at Southcare over many years. We have been happy with everything from the way they deal with our pets to how they communicate with us. They have shared our happiness as well as our sorrows with true love and empathy. Thank you Southcare for the Great Care! This vet office is absolutely top notch. They go above and beyond to make sure your fur babies are taken in and received the best care possible. I recently brought my 4 year old black lab Daisy to them for facial swelling and they couldn't see her right away. They recommended that I take her to the PetEmergency clinic to be seen as soon as possible rather than waiting for opening at their office. She was seen and treated there. The next day I received a call from Southcare Animal Clinic checking up on Daisy from the PetEmergency visit. This clinic gains a great deal of respect as they want to ensure she is safe and doing well. I recommend this vet clinic 10/10!

The veterinarian was professional and friendly and answered my questions in a manner that made me feel like she actually listened to them. She was a new veterinarian to me and I was very pleased with the quality of service I received. My appointment was on time.and they had to take my cat out to do more tests. They returned in a short time. The vet tech was also indicative of the sort of quality care I receive at SouthCare. I guess that's why I have gone there for years.

Dr. Wada is fantastic! She talks to me like an adult, listens to my concerns and explains her plan to treat my pet. I couldn't be happier with her work.

We have been using this amazing clinic since we arrived in Spokane in 2018. Thank you so much for your help with our 13 year old Shar-Pei/Lab mix! Ernie was my daughter Jessica's puppy and she died on Christmas Eve of 2013. Ernie still waits for her to come home over 8 long years later. Last week, Ernie was in agonizing pain from an unknown condition in his rear leg. I was so upset all day long trying to figure out how I could help him. I called at 6pm and the staff were so kind, and got us in for an appointment almost immediately. Ernie never liked going to the vet, and can be aggressive and even scary as is his breed heritage. (Chinese Royal Guard dogs) They treat Ernie with such gentleness and respect. I am now 62, and not easy to deal with either. I am very pushy and opinionated as well. I was very upset at seeing his pain, (actually in tears) and yet the staff treated me with patience, understanding and kindness as well. They kept Ernie for a few hours to do some tests and consult with other doctors, then prescribed very effective medication and 4 days later, Ernie is feeling and doing MUCH BETTER!.... MUCH BETTER! I was afraid that they would want us to put him to sleep, yet those words never came out of their kind mouths. That time will come eventually, but thanks to this amazing staff of animal lovers, we still have Ernie with us. I am so thankful to have this level of care for our beloved dog. Great people and great care for my pet.

I have a difficult dog. He is very particular about who can touch him. Jenny is absolutely wonderful with him and he loves her. He is always happy to see her for his laser treatments! She is definately a gem!

Not bad. A little pricey but worth for your fur baby.

I have been going to Southcare for 30 years. They are the best vets in town. They always treat me with respect and they are so kind to my pets! They have been with me through the lives of several pets and they are so accommodating and caring no matter what they are doing, I trust this office with my fur babies lives because my pets are my family and they deserve the best.

I do not possess the vocabulary to honestly say how appreciative I am for this facility's actions and care for my two best friends today. I couldn't recommend a better facility to take any animal that you love.

Just recently moved to the South hill and had to find a new Vet. So happy that this place was recommended to us! So far they have been amazing with our fur babies and really reasonable with prices. Highly recommend them!

Great bunch of staff going the xtra mile to help you and your pet out

This was the best experience I've ever had at a vet, because my cat seemed more happy and relaxed at the end of the visit than he had when we got up that morning. Previous cats and vets didn't mix this well. He was so pleased with exploring and getting to know the staff. They had his number and we both loved it.

We have three dogs and one of them needed care quickly one day. Of course, it was on the weekend and many offices are closed. I happened to find that SouthCare Animal Medical Center was open on Saturday so I called. The receptionist was very kind and said we can see you this morning the very day I called. I was so relieved. When I arrived I was so impressed with how efficient and caring they were. My stress level and worry went from a 10 down to a 1 because of the way SouthCare handled everything. We take all three of our dogs here now. I love their hours, professionalism and most of all how they handle each one of our furry best friends with the utmost compassion. All of their vets and staff exemplify quality and compassion. Thank you!

Friendly staff, always care about what's best for our furkids.

Called last night to have my dog euthanized and the receptionist was rude and turned us away and they didn't close for another 2 hours. No compassion. Who ever answered the phone needs to be fired.

My dog Bella was sick and going down fast. It was the day after Thanksgiving and we weren't established with a vet in the area. SouthCare Animal Medical Center was able to get her in. The kindness and care the whole staff showed was exceptional. Bella could not be saved, however, we now take our cat there. They are knowledgable, professional and kind. Thanks SouthCare for being there when we really needed you.

Fantastic pet care providers. Staff is super friendly and welcoming and the veterinarian Dr. Benedetto always provides a thorough explanation of health concerns. They are very cat friendly and even have separate entrances for cats and dogs to avoid extra stress. I highly recommend this medical center.

Dr Benedetto is amazing and so caring. I trust her 100% with my hard to handle Rottie. She is just the best!

My little Abby is nearing the end of her time with me. I did not want to sit in the parking lot while my veterinarian clinic evaluated Abby in the clinic and then gave me the news later. I called South Care and they got me in that same day and allowed me to accompany Abby into the clinic. I am so grateful for the the wonderful caring Dr. Benedetto. South Care is now my clinic for my dog and cat.

Moved here from across the country. My dog has a torn CCL. The first time I was seen they did xrays but could not confirm if it was a torn CCL so they told me to try the meds and call back on monday. Well it got worse, I called back on monday and they stated I had to do an appointment. So I did an appointment for that day, with a new vet because the vet I saw didn't work that day. As soon as I saw the new male vet he just basically flat out said its a ccl tare and he would be in contact to help find a surgeon. A week later with no contact a different vet called me after I asked for someone to call me and she stated I need to call around myself...which was the opposite of what I was told and I lost a week due to this. My pup was on two medicines and i called to refill it and they said she needed to come in for bloodwork in order for that to be filled....nobody could have told me this at my last appointment?? The lack of communication, direction and care for my dog has made me send my records to hunters veterinary clinic. From the first visit its a breath of fresh air knowing we made the right decision to switch.
