A great place to adopt a cat, ran by kind people who genuinely care. These cats are much loved and in good hands you can trust here.

The staff and volunteers at Whisker City are true cat lovers, and are devoted to taking care of and finding homes for injured, abandoned, and abused cats. One day, I decided to visit hoping to foster. The staff put me in contact with the owner, and I asked what cat needed to be fostered the most. They answered "Febe." Miss Febe is a 10 year old lady who loves humans, but hates other cats. Even though she is a cuddle bug, she was too busy hating on other cats for potential adopters to be able see that side of her. Within 3 days of fostering, our hearts were won over. We had to adopt her. Febe is such a sweetheart, and we are so happy to be her furever home. I thank Whisker City for taking such good care of her, and helping to bring her into her lives!

Erin runs an tip top home for cat adoptions. It's more than just a business for her. When you go 'whisker city' style, you can be sure it is a win/win for you and the cat. Erin has both the cats and the new owners in mind and takes super care of them while they're waiting for a new home.

Erin truly has a heart for service when it comes to the feline community, if you have any doubts, concerns or questions all will be answered and put to ease with the security you need to make the right choice for a difficult transition.

Never been there, so take this with a grain of salt. I just want to share my experience. Something doesn't sit right with me about this place. I saw a cat that I liked and wanted to meet, so I submitted my form ahead of time to show my interest. Soon after, that particular cat's description was utterly changed and given less flattering pics, essentially making him sound like a huge chore (a general nuisance, known biter, very picky about who he wants to adopt him, absolutely must have a catio), when originally his description warned of scratching carpets and being "intimidating at first." Not mentioning the carpets thing again feels really off to me. Since I was okay with that, now that's not an issue to warn people about? Basically they were deterring me specifically. That's so weird. I understand that not every cat is a good fit and accept that decision, but the manner in which they handled my interest is tacky and suspicious. Oh, and I checked their website out and it has this particular cat as part of their permanent graphic design. Methinks this is actually THEIR cat. With the amount of "bad luck" that happens to them that requires money to fix, honestly it all feels shady to me. Again, never met the folks and will not be going so I don't know everything, but completely changing the cat's profile to basically tell me not to come is weird.

Never again. Waited and waited for that call for the cat I chose and nothing. You lost my business. I came in, chose a cat, was told I needed to wait due to an illness. Once the cat was well, they would call me. I waited and waited. I decided to make a call and reached the owner who said she would call me back the next day. Nothing. No call. Im sorry but this is not the way to handle a business. And certainly not one with living animals. I was so let down and so sad. I really wanted to adopt a cat before Christmas and also help out a non profit. From the time I went into the building till today, I have been treated so poorly. I am not going to say never go here or this is a terrible place. I am saying for me, it was very bad and disappointing. This is why I should have gone to PAWS.

Warning: poor customer service. slow responses!!! The person in charge of the place was rude and condescending. Worst experience ever!!!!! took FOREVER to get a response too and by that time the cat I wanted was GONE!!!! My heart was broke!!! Go elsewhere this place ain’t worth the hassle Edit: I know this is volunteer run but other volunteer shelters are more organized/professional/quicker

Whisker City is a nonprofit Rescue/Adoption/Sanctuary for stray or unwanted cats. I can't believe how much love is given and expense that is afforded these beautiful creatures as they are cared for with food, shelter and medical. Even those that are in the worst shape and look like they are ready to cross the Rainbow Bridge are given a chance. Many make it but sadly not all. Without donations and volunteers there would be no Whisker City. They are small and the building needs some help as donations go to the care, medical needs and spay/neuter first. Awesome place to get a kitten/cat a furever home.

All the workers and staff were very nice and seem to care a lot about all the cats in their care. I strongly recommend this place if you're looking for a loved, well cared for cat.

Love getting to pet all the kitties! My husband and I stumbled across Whisker City one day and came back with our family for their christmas party after that. Staff is friendly and they love all the cats just as much as all the visitors.

Never turn away, never kill! They are beyond capacity right now and even the workers have maxed their credit cards feeding and housing 47 cats. Dedicated cat people help them if you are able. We adopted two elderly cats. They have many beautiful cats.

Wonderful place to adopt a cat. Because the cats are roaming freely you can see their personalities before they get home.

Whisker City is a small rescue with a big heart. Based in a cottage set in a quiet neighborhood, the place is designed to provide a clean, interactive environment for the cats. There's even a lovely, shady screened-in porch so the feline residents can enjoy fresh outdoor air. I was greeted by a very welcoming volunteer, who showed me around and introduced me to the cats. She knew each cat by name and told me about their various personalities...every one of them, from the tiniest kittens to the creakiest seniors. It's well worth taking the time to make the trip; even if you don't adopt one of their cats, you'll learn how a cat shelter should be.

I got a great cat, not because of whiskers. Because of the cat. She needed immediately to be taken to the vet, only a cash receipt, no history of vaccines etc. When I donated not only was I unappreciated, they were hostile. I think it's a money laundering business. They do not care about cats, they give the illusion. DO NOT GET A CAT THERE! unless you are prepared to deal with bottom feeders.

A great local resource for adopting cats and kittens operated by staff and volunteers who's passion is apparent.

Takes people's hard earned money and spends it to make improvements on her house. The cats are not taken care of they are all over on other people's property uses it for their toilets. Animal control and ASPCA have been in contact with her about not vaccinating and neglect.Horrible person.l agree with Jeanne Pertile 100% because it is true. I have a lot of pictures and documentation of what Whisker City and April are all about and so does animal control.
