Disreputable business. Financial misdeeds. Search the web for salary paid to Ginger...

We fostered and adopted through Gingers! Now I volunteer when I can. So caring, loving and passionate about dog rescue. I love my Pockets and will never go anywhere else to adopt.

I recently adopted the sweetest little Pom from Ginger's Pet Rescue. He is absolutely beautiful and absolutely charming. The volunteers I spoke and visited with were wonderful and obviously took great care of my little man before I adopted him. While the prices may seem high, the lengths to which this agency goes to rescue these precious dogs makes the cost perfectly understandable. I highly recommend Ginger's Pet Rescue. I have absolutely no complaints and can only thank GPR for accepting my application for my little adorable Brady.

I would not recommend this place. I've adopted a dog from Ginger's Pet Rescue and I had a very bad experience. They act friendly when you want to adopt, but when you want to return the dog within the 7 days period, they would give you a cold shoulder and ignore you. The reason for wanting to return the dog to them was because he has a lot of health and behavioral problems and Sian didn't even inform me about those problems. So yeah, I've paid $1500s for an ill dog with behavioral issues and another $1000s for medical expenses. Let's talk about those description that they have on their site for the dogs available for adoption. It seems like they copy and paste and change a few wording to get people's sympathy to adopt. We don't know how true those descriptions are. So if you're planning to adopt from them, just keep in mind you might end up in a situation like mine.

I'm so thankful for Sian and this organization that brought Nova and I together. The volunteers were amazing and dropped him off to me as I don't have a car. They followed up to make sure he's adjusting well to Seattle city life. You are able to write off quite a bit of the cost as they are a non profit so please consider. Regardless of what others have said about the legitimacy of the organization, Nova and I are grateful.

Got a wonderful dog from here, great communication! Prices can be steep but it's not a scam, and they want nothing more than to find their dogs loving families. Had a wonderful experience :)

We adopted our dog here a couple weeks ago and the process was smooth. She came from Korea, saved from the dog meat trade there. She fits perfectly into our lives and is already an amazing dog. Thank you, Sian!

I've been wanting to foster a dog and heard great things about Ginger's Pet Rescue through a friend. I sent an application in March 2021, April 2021, and August 2021. The contact name "Sian" is listed on the website. After 2+ weeks after emailing my application I would email Sian to ask for an update about my application. The response would be, "We did not receive your application ? Thank you for wanting to support our rescue please resend your application we will keep it on file until needed Kind regards please send your phone number Sian " I am very disappointed because Sian keeps sending me the above message each time I reach out. Also, their website asks for volunteers to foster. Hopefully this review will bring their attention!

We adopted a sweet dog from Korea, but they waited 1.5 months to send her to us and pickup from the home by the airport was chaotic with several other adoptions occurring simultaneously. We just learned she has heart worms. We only gave a few doses of the prevention meds they gave us, so perhaps it is our fault. But prevention meds are not 100% after infection. Regardless, make sure to give the prevention meds for 6 months. We also have a friend who also adopted from Ginger's in Korea and did give the meds and her dog now also has heartworms. Treatment will cost us $2500 and we are praying for a positive outcome.

Our sweet pup is still getting settled in but already we love him and our border collie loves him! The training and care provided by the foster and by Ginger’s is evident in the way Kuro behaves. He’s a smart, healthy, kind snuggle bug. I’m very impressed with this rescue and if we have an opportunity in the future we will adopt again! Edited to add more pics of our sweet Kuro.

I got my sweet dogo a few months ago, from Ginger’s Pet Rescue. The application process was easy, the foster mum was very kind and answered every question I had before, during and after the adoption. My dog is healthy, happy and the best companion ever. If you are looking to provide a pet with a forever home, trust Ginger’s Pet.

We had a wonderful experience from start to finish with Ginger's Pet Rescue. Sian helped coordinate the adoption of our pup Liam from South Korea, and she was open and honest about what they did and did not know about his background and medical history. We took him to Urban Animal in Capitol Hill within a week of adopting him to make sure there wasn't anything that needed to be taken care of, and the vet commented that the Korean records we provided showed that they had done what they needed do, and he was fully up-to-date on vaccinations, etc. We ran a few tests to make sure he was 100% good to go for our own peace of mind, and he came back with a clean bill of health. Yay! We are incredibly thankful for this wonderful addition to our furry family! Thank you Sian and everyone at Ginger's Pet Rescue for everything that you do!!

I brought home a new pup 5 weeks ago and would absolutely recommend Ginger’s Pet Rescue! I sought them out after some friends had a great experience adopting a dog from Mexico. I am a first time dog owner and really appreciated them being mindful of helping me find a dog that would be the best fit. Adoption process moved fast, but was very smooth. I felt that they set really clear expectations for me and there were no surprises. Sammie got off a plane from Korea and came directly home with me. Those first few days are always an adjustment so it was nice to not have to worry about vaccines and spay because it had already been taken care of by the rescue. I am so happy with my choice to go with Ginger’s and have a wonderfully sweet and goofy dog!

I can’t thank Ginger’s Pet Rescue enough for helping my family find our beloved Bodie. The whole adoption process was very thorough and organized. The people who fostered him are caring and you can tell they love the dogs.

I have never applied to Ginger's for a pet. But I am aware of the complaints that have been made about how the "rescue" operates.

Wow. Judging by some of the reviews, people think they should just get a dog transported from another country, spayed and vaccinated for free. Who do they think is paying for these things? …

I just adopted a puppy through Ginger’s Pet Rescue. Both the foster mom and the person approving my adoption were truly amazing people who work hard to give these dogs new homes! My puppy is healthy, sweet, and super adorable and I feel supported in making sure she meshes well with my other pets. I would happily adopt another dog from them in the future, especially knowing the hard work they do to get these pups from really bad conditions to new loving homes.

I had a great experience with Ginger’s; I’ve had my wonderful South Korean rescue for a week. The adoption was smooth and quickly executed. They contacted me after I submitted my application and soon after I was bringing my favorite pup home. She is a lovely, very smart dog. I’m thrilled.

After a hard search of a legit pomeranian with papers and etc. I found the pomeranian I wanted. The people @ gGingers pet rescue were very honest, provided pictures and video. I went to go see him, (Abom) now his new name is "Curious George ". The foster parent of Abom, Christy is very helpful respectful, very informative also. I really appreciate what Ginger's pet rescue does. My lil'man is healthy, loyal, loving, and very playful. It is hard to find a new companion, a family Member without being scammed!

They have a lot of information about the animals they have for adoption. Adoption fees seem very high.

They had a Chihuahua mix listed, Penelope, through Petfinder. Her bio said she was on heart medication but "doing fine". I submitted an application for her & they told me "honestly not sure how long she was going to live"! I was surprised & perturbed that they would list a sick dog for adoption! I think they wanted me to look at other, more expensive, dogs that were supposedly rescued from Korea! This rescue is sketchy--do your research & Google them first before you think of paying thousand$ of dollar$ for a rescue!

We love our newest member of our family, Atticus. He is loving his new life as a Colorado mountain dog. Yesterday we spent the day sledding in the mountains. Thank you to Ginger's Pet Rescue for saving these beautiful animals. And a big shout-out to Sian and Nancy for making Atticus' transition so comfortable.
