Although our cat was unable to get the extensive care needed, she was treated and made comfortable while the staff located the nearest available location. All of the staff were incredibly kind, and thoughtful through this painful experience.

When you really need your vet & they aren't there for you, it wakes you up real quick, my little yorkie was hardly breathing I called my vet. Shelton Veterinary Hospital & was told to go else where & because i was so upset said somethings i should not have said and not that i would ever go back there, I got a certified letter today telling me not to come back. I have been with Shelton Vet for about 25 yrs, stuck with them when they got busted for un ethical practice's. if your willing to wait a few weeks or months for your flea treatment your good to go, but if you want a Vet that is going to take care of your pet when it really matters, PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE LIKE SHELTON VET TOLD ME TO DO.

When it came to the end for my Baby Girl Cierra Dr Olson was very compassionate and caring for what was about to happen. I have been taking my pets there for 20years and will continue!! The staff of Young ladies were also wounderful during this time. I cannot think of taking my pets anywhere else..

We bring our dogs to Shelton Veterinary Hospital from Port Orchard because of the philosophy of the practice. It is worth the drive to know that our girls are getting the best care possible at an affordable cost. We love both veterinarians and the support staff is friendly and patient.

Definitely the best veterinarian office we have used. They have met every need we have had for our pets and their prices don't break the bank.

Nearly 30 years of treating our families pets as part of their family. Usually you’re not at a veterinarian clinic in the same capacity as a fun park to play fetch. My mother and I quit counting when we realized we’ve sadly said goodbye to 10 family pets where Shelton Veterinarian hospital helped our fur babies cross over the rainbow ???? bridge. Gary Olsen, the man that has owned and has ran this organization for all years i can remember is an absolute saint????. I won’t embarrass him for the kindness he’s personally shown me but he’s personally restored a bit of faith in humanity in me. He’s made an impact on me and how I treat others. Always our first call and always more value then anything they charge us. 10 ⭐️ stars(Carlos *pictured says thank you????????

New the the area, another dog bit my dog, called and told them what had occurred, and what was going to be needed. Dog has ripped flesh and is bleeding. They weren't available to help, literally said they were too busy with normal appointments and can't take new patients. That i can go to olympia and try to find a vet there. Lacking compassion. Not a good look for a veterans office. Times are changing, enjoy loosing what would have been a steady patron, and the bad review and word of mouth. Bad way to run a business for a hospital. Can't treat actual emergencies, because they are too busy with regular appointments. Edit: September 2 2021, almost a year later. And this "hospital" which is actually a clinic, is still unable and unwilling to see and take new patients or enroll anyone. Citing covid and staffing issues. No change from this establishment in over a year. If you call, you'll be told to drive to olympia and try emergency clinics. (After having talked to others via social media and in person, this is the normal for this establishment even with established clients.)

It was time for Sophie to go to "all dogs go to heaven". The staff and the veteranarian were fantastic and attentive. My husband and i were relieved that the room we were in was nicely set up and our Sophie was lying on a blanket and not some cold surface. Thank you all for making this difficult time more comfortable for all of us. We sure appreciated it.

I been trying to call all morning on 6/21/21 no answer. They keep sending me calls to voice-mail. New in town looking for a vet for my animals but this vet doesn't know how to answer

We foster kitties for Kitten Rescue of Mason County, and when panluek (distemper) ran rampant through our fosters, Shelton vet cleared out time for us to bring them in to find out why, despite our best efforts, these babies were dying. The day before I had taken the worst one into Olympia Pet Emergency where it had reportedly tested negative for panleuk. Because of their care and time, we discovered they actually DID. Shelton Vet did everything they could to try saving as many as possible, but going against a 90% mortality rate virus is grueling, but together we saved one! Thank you Shelton Vet! She's going strong and will soon be available for adoption!

Very nice experience. My cats were there for exam and shots. All the staff were friendly even though they were clearly booked solid. Phones and in person customers kept them very busy. Just know you go in to check in then they give you a pager to wait outside. Be patient with these guys, they are trying to keep up.

Our dog, Teddy Bear, swallowed part of a chew whole and developed either an abdominal or intestinal obstruction where he is in extreme distress. We tried to get him in to an Emergency Vet last night but they couldn't get him in. So this morning my wife took him to Shelton Animal Hospital , our normal Vet, and had him there when they opened at 7:30 am. They wouldn't even examine him let alone attempt to help Teddy. My wife was in tears when she left and could not understand why they wouldn't see him. I'm so angry at the lack of compassion shown in this situation I could spit nails. Our old Vet would have done anything they could have to save Teddy.
