Ravenna Animal Hospital Seattle, Washington

All of the staff at Ravenna Animal Hospital have been helpful and welcoming. They share a love of animals that is apparent in their kind and competent handling of our dog. I would recommend this practice to anyone seeking veterinary services for their pets.

I am editing the review for Ravenna. My cat started showing signs of having a UTI. When I made an appointment they had to take her urine. When they did a culture, everything came out fine regarding tests. They told me what she likely has is FLUTD. They gave cerenia for inflammation, and a pain medication. After about a month I ran out of the cerenia and requested more. During the prior appointment we discussed long-term care for her condition. When I requested the medication, they said I needed to bring Cleo back in to talk about long-term care. They will go out of their way to make you come in even when you really do not need to. I told them that we already discussed long-term care. They then decided they would refill her meds, and told me the next time I need a refill it will be absolutely required that I come in, or they won't refill her medication. The other thing is about the medication cost. The box of cerenia has 4 tablets, and my cat only needs half of 1 every 24 hours. They charged $45 for the box. Which I then got the refill from Chewy for $18. As much as you can, do not get your prescriptions here. They will rob you and squeeze you dry. Ravenna animal hospital is nothing but a greedy business with bad intentions. They do not care about your animal, only your money.

I'm a Frenchie mom (twice) and a retired physician. Dr. Donovan is a Frenchie dad who came highly recommended by a patient of mine. At every visit over the 7 years we've been seeing Dr. Donovan, I learn more about the breed--which he clearly loves. And my guys love the visits.

I came in with my pup, Lucy, for a quick check on a drippy eye. Everyone was super nice and very quick to get us into a room. Lucy is a very very timid pup, especially with men. When Dr. Thompson came in, he immediately sat down on the floor and Lucy went right over to him and let him pet her. That's huge! The exam was quick and easy, we got a treat on our way out, and the staff at the front desk were lovely as well. All in all, a really really nice experience. Thank you!

I love the staff here, everyone takes really great care of my cats when we come to visit and they are always sure to answer all of my questions.

I took my anxious/reactive rescue dog here with a suspected UTI, and the staff has been so kind, patient, and communicative with Kaya’s behavioral challenges. Especially the assistant Kelly was really great and helped me feel a lot calmer about leaving Kaya with them - highly recommend ????

They are professional and very thorough in their exanimations. During the July 4th holiday weekend, my Frenchie had hives and they were very responsive and scheduled us in right away. Due to our appointment being a few days out, they even requested me to send pictures in prior to see if we needed to come in sooner. They genuinely care and I would highly recommend to anyone!

To Whom It May Concern I have been a "patient" at the Ravenna Animal Hospital for the last 50 years, taking in my dog, and then my cats. I have always found the staff and the doctors very caring, responsive, and patient in explaining the various pet maladies to me. Also, when communicating with people at the desk, I have had very kind and patient people to talk with. Thank you very much for all the services you provide for me and for the various pet owners in this area, not to forget the animals you care for. Segolene, my cat, means a lot to me. I feel confident bringing her to Ravenna Animal Hospital for her medical needs.

This is a hospital in a network of hospitals that honestly have very lackluster operations. When you need service the most you are constantly being slingshotted to different voicemails. Today my puppy threw up worms, I called this hospital and redirected my emergency to the green lake hospitals voicemail because the entire office was in a meeting. The Vets I’ve worked with have all been exceptional but if the reliability and the human aspect isn’t there what’s the point? I’d highly discourage anyone from using this or the network of animal hospitals and look for something else.

I trust Ravenna Animal Hospital above all vets in Seattle for the care of my animals! I have used several other vets in my area for general, uncomplicated care of our dog and cats, but I always come back to Ravenna. The vets are very knowledgeable, and treat your animal gently. I always feel like they view my pet as their important patient.

This review was written with a seriously honest and absolutely genuine disposition . Ravenna Animal Hospital and their sister Clinics are truly and exceedingly devoted to your needs and whims as a Pet Owner and to your Pet’s happiness and well being. The yellow brick road hasn’t been easy for us in regards to Mossi’s health. [I am a devoted, neurotic, and crazy-in-love with our little girl MBF !] It hasn’t helped that she has struggled with allergies most of her life, health incidents, more than 2 surgeries despite her being a rambunctious, happy, hyperactive and an-all-around cool dog. Without their support for what’s now been 4 years, Mossi’s health management would have been... I can’t even imagine. The best! If and when I leave SEATTLE, the next vet we call Mossi’s home doctor will have bigs shoes to fill! It is 2020, covid times, and Mossi continues to visit Dr. Neal at RAH. We couldn't be happier with their support and quality of care!!!

My first experiences here have been during the COVID crisis, so it's unique to say the least. I've felt incredibly safe at both visits, and my dog is happy and healthy. What more could you ask? I say good value, because I just assume I'm going to pay hundreds of dollars any time I visit a vet, and when I've gotten bills from them, I've thought, "that's downright reasonable!" Everyone I've spoken to is super helpful and kind. I don't have one bad thing to say about this spot.

I love Ravenna Animal Hospital. Dr. Julia Neal has been our primary doctor and a great partner in our cat's health. She and her team have always taken the time to hear all my concerns and take a wholistic approach to problems. I have never once felt rushed at this practice no matter which doctor I'm seeing. You can tell how much the team cares about the animals. Dr. Ballas was the doctor to diagnose my kitty Render with Lymphoma and while it was traumatic I appreciated the care and professionalism from the team. I never felt lost. This is a great team to have behind you and your furry family.

We have been bringing our adult and senior cats over several years. Our vet is Dr. Neal. She is great! Gentle with our pets and very thorough in gathering information for a diagnosis. She also responds quickly. We saw a substitute vet there once when Dr. Neal was on vacation. He was very competent as well. Referrals to specialists when needed has also been successful. The vet assistants are gentle, patient and caring. The front desk people are efficient and responsive. The animal hospital’s Covid protocols insure safety for all.

My three dogs are well looked after by the doctors at Ravenna Animal Hospital. The support staff are excellent and Sue is always friendly and helpful. Thomas does a great job getting insurance claims filed.

Even though we were brand new clients, the excellent staff at Ravenna Animal Hospital was not only quick to set up an appointment, but gentle and kind throughout. We had to say goodbye to my family's sweet kitty Jack, but Dr. Neal, Michael and Siddra were all wonderful, kind and so professional with us. These times are trying, but you can be sure that your beloved pet will be in good hands here.

I love RAH!! All of the staff at Ravenna Animal Hospital are amazingly friendly and helpful, their pricing is reasonable and care is superb. Dr. Neal is the most amazing, patient and kind vet I've ever had--my cats love going to the vet once they realize where they are!

Everyone my wife and I have interacted with at Ravenna Animal Hospital (and all practices that are owned by Seattle Veterinary Associates) have been great. When we've needed both simple and complex things looked at for our two older dogs, they've been able to schedule appointments with us very easily and communicated all of their results/findings to us very quickly.

As always even in these difficult times, the treatment of my dogs and I was superb. I have been coming to Ravenna since it opened and to Dr. Donavan for ten years more than that with other dogs. In my experience of having dogs for most of my 83 years, I have never found a more experienced, caring or knowledgeable veterinarian.. He has assembled a great staff as well. Speight Jenkins

dr. neal loves paddo as much as we do. he is geriatric now and she is very understanding of his station in life.
