Awesome little place they go through cats quick due to size so they reccomend going early. But very friendly staff, cute clean space for the cats temporary home. We got a lot of questions anwser and they took the time to walk us through everything.

I visited PAWS over a two-year period in my search for just the right kitty, and PAWS was just wonderful. They fielded my questions, kept me up to date on the cats they had. I watched as they cared for the most difficult to adopt cat... a beautiful 18 year-old Angora an elderly woman has to give up as she went into a home... a cat named Tarzan who didn't know his own strength. They were loving and kind, got to know that I didn't know what I wanted, that I was just looking for the Right cat. They would point out unusual personalities that they thought would be a good fit. Eventually we found the One.

PAWS Cat City and their other location in Lynnwood are just awesome. My husband and I were looking for a companion for our 4-year-old cat, and we made multiple visits until we found the right one. Norm was at the Lynnwood location for a few weeks getting treated for ear mites, so he was not adoptable, but he would also reach his paw out of his kennel each time I passed by him. When he was finally available to meet with, he walked right up and plopped down in my lap. He and his big sister, Koops, now terrorize the house together and seem to be very happy. The staff is knowledgeable and cares about the animals they help. Consider donating if you can, and definitely check this place out if you are planning to adopt.

Such great people that work here; the laddies that helped my fiancé and I were polite informative and seemed genuinely passionate about their jobs caring for these foster/shelter animals trying to find loving homes. My fiancé and I ended up adopting an adult cat here named "Sundae" which we re-named "Sunny". She's sweet, loving, EXTREMELY social and playful. I'm so happy that we were the ones to bring her home to her new loving family. Saving an animal is one of the most delightful feelis ever and we are so looking forward to seeing her grow up with her older sister cat Zora. Thank you PAWS Cat City for the great service, for bringing us together and all that you do!

I’m sure they do great work. My complaint is that posted hours are not the actual hours. They had a kitten I absolutely fell in love with, called ahead at 9am from Olympia to make sure he was available. Was waiting in my car for 10 minutes when I look up and see people go inside. This was at 10:50, they were supposed to be open at 11. I go inside and the people ahead of me want the same cat. Tough luck for me, drove all that way only for disappointment. I’m just saying if there’s a cat you really want get there early and check the door, don’t wait like I did. I am really trying not to be bitter and I understand that Siamese kittens are very popular, but that should be all the more reason for qualifications and experience to be taken into consideration. I am 38, married, have lived in the same home for 10 years, work from home and have fostered 25+ cats and kittens through Tacoma Humane Society. None of that mattered as much as getting there first. The couple that beat me to it were barely in their 20s. How much time are they really going to spend with this cat, especially when it's no longer a cute little kitten? What happens when they inevitably break up? Not to be ageist but I remember being in my 20s and it was hardly a stable life for a pet. If this shelter really cared about finding the best home for its cats my application would at least have been considered.

The volunteers and staff made our visit wonderful and we left with two beautiful kittens! Volunteer Lynsey helped us through most of the process and was patient with our questions and very warm and kind during our stay. PAWS is a fantastic operation, and I highly suggest you support them.

Didn't realize it was Cat City and took my dog! I was buying a license! One of the staff, before duty, watched my dog outside. They sold me a dog license!

Great shelter. They have windows to see the kitties playing and say hi. I walk by sometimes but have not been inside. Their website has a lot of great info and is pretty user friendly. Check out website before coming, especially because of COVID.

I love my Minerva! Great staff and easy adoption process. I was a bit hesitant but the staff member was encouraging and now I’m 5 months into one of the best decisions I’ve ever made :)

I adopted Socks (formerly Dinah) from Cat City on March 9th, 2019 and I don’t regret it at all!! It was an easy and wonderful adoption experience and I’m so glad I got to support local. She has become my official Emotional Support Animal and I’m absolutely in love. Thanks PAWS! (follow @the.curious.socks on Instagram for updates since adoption!)

I adopted Noah from PAWS about five years ago, and went back for Violet a year ago. Both times I was impressed with the staff and the facility. I love adopting from people who know their cats! They were very kind, explained all the paperwork to me, and helped me with my Seattle city pet license. If I ever get the opportunity to adopt from PAWS again, I will!

I am Currently 26 weeks pregnant and was in the process of moving. I was unable to take my cat with me because the place I was moving to wouldn’t allow it. Unaware of the new changes at my local humane society I was unable to surrender my cat by walk-in and interviews were set 2-weeks out due to COVID. I called PAWS and talked to a woman yesterday she was rude, nasty, wasn’t helpful, and she hung up on me. Horrible experience and customer service.
