We trust Dr. Hazard and team with our two dogs. They always take good care and make them feel comfortable. The updates and reminders are helpful as well. All around good people and would recommend.

This is a large multi vet clinic that is all about the money. While they are friendly, they push unnecessary labs and tests for diagnosis that they already know. You're really paying for the expensive client database and large staff than quality care.

TLDR: Profits over people/pets. Poor customer service. Ambivalent staff. Had a dog that was diagnosed at Northgate Vet Clinic with pyometra. It was around Christmas last year. Was told they couldn't help, and no one in the area could help, and that my dog would need to be euthanized. We found another clinic within 5 minutes of searching that could help. Tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, maybe it was the holidays and they were busy and made an over-site. When my dog was diagnosed with cancer this summer, I had a couple questions for them. They wouldn't answer questions without another appointment. They charged me $75 for 3 minutes worth of their time to answer my 3-4 questions. That translates to a $1500 an hour rate. Had a yes or no question about a puppy I was considering today, and seeing as I had spent good money over there already, and if I had a new puppy they would get 10-12 years worth of business, I figured someone had 30 seconds of their day to answer a question with an e-mail or just while they had me on the phone. They wanted more money to answer my question. They care about making money, not helping me. Which is fine, they are a business. I just won't be working with them anymore, and I suggest you don't.

The staff as a whole is wonderful. We see Dr. Phillips whenever possible. We have a dog that is terrified of going in and eveyone is so patient and understanding that our usually chill dog was freaked out and out of sorts. (The quiet room …

This was honestly the best vet experience I’ve ever had. They provided so many updates during my cat’s dental procedure, it really helped calm my worries!

I worked at NGVC between 2017 and 2020. This clinic is hands down my home but unfortunately moved over to spokane end of 2020. I have been in veterinary medicine for almost 11 years. I obtained my license during my employment there and was trained by Dr. Phillips, the medical director, in highly advanced skills. NGVC paved the pathway for my career by the passion Dr. Phillips has for client and staff education. The staff at NGVC are tight knit and have a family like love for one another. I saw less employee turnover at this clinic than any others I've worked at. Because they value and empower their support staff to love our clients like family and treat their pets with the highest quality of care with specific and direct communication throughout the whole process. If you live near Seattle, you should be taking your pets to see Dr. Phillips and hopefully you get the pleasure of meeting his stellar licensed technician Aaron. I Can't recommend this clinic any higher.

Great group of compassionate staff.Friendlyand professional. Throughout extremely hard times with covid, my 13 year rescue is diagnosed with a heart murmur. After spending 3 nights in Seattle Emergency I had to find a vet with availability to continue testing to know dosage for her new medication. Me and Maxine couldn't have gotten any luckier. Dr Hazard and the vet technicians are wonderful.Maxine is almost back to herself and still grumpy but we definitely found our new vet even with a 12 plus mile drive.

I had a wonderful experience bringing my new kitten here. The staff were very friendly and the vet was so amazing.... she didn't rush and took the time to make my pet feel safe. I really appreciated the steps they have taken during COVID to ensure the safety of the humans as well :)

We had a great experience here as fist time visitors. They are still doing appointments so that the dogs go in without you, but at least I felt like the vet was very attentive during our call to discuss my pet. We will be back!

Just had my first appointment there and they were awesome! I had seen a different vet near by and was planning to just get his teeth cleaned at Northgate vet, but I think they’re going to be my regular vet from now on for sure. Such nice people and so great with my pup!

I'm pretty sure they are the only reason why my cat Blueto is living as long as he is. I appreciate the staff and Dr Hazard for all of the steps they've taken throughout my cat's treatments. I don't have any photos inside because of the pandemic but inside is also very clean and warm feeling, with all of the wooden floors.

Front desk women is rude and impatient with clients. And different people tells differently, I called twice and they gave me two prices. Not recommended.

We had two bad experiences with this clinic last year. Our dog was having a major skin break out/rash and Dr. Hazard diagnosed him with greasy coat disease and then said to switch his food and also gave a fish oil supplement. Neither of these solutions helped him because it turns out, through our own research and with the help of the awesome people at Mud Bay, we discovered his skin issue was an allergy to fish!! Not only did the vet misdiagnose what was going on but told us to give our dog something that made it worse. They also missed a parasite in our puppy's stool. We were told she was clear but then after she had two incidents of acting drunk, throwing up and being totally out of it, I called the vet and it turns out she did have a parasite. I was furious. Dr. Hazard then told me that it was ok because it is a parasite that they clear on their own. Fast forward a couple of more weeks and another incident of her getting sick and acting super dizzy, and she started to poop out full-size worms. So disappointing.

I took my cats in and it turned into several hours. We saw a different vet than normal which is probably why we had a poor experience this time. The vet tech complained to me about taking their lunch and told me I have to wait. As I told her I had to call my other half to talk about what we could afford to cover. I was understanding because I fully get that people are human and have to eat and take breaks...but she said they stagger their lunches and was over explaining it. I don’t care how your lunches work. You have my cats who get stressed out at the vet. Also Why couldn’t some else of taken care of them while you go on lunch? It felt really inconsiderate and unprofessional. So my cats were Kept tin a stressful environment so long my cat pooped in her kennel. After waiting an hour. She called me after her lunch and said it would be 20 more minutes to finish up. Almost half hour later no call. At this point I'm frustrated and it’s been several hours since my initial appointment time. I called to check to see if my cats were finished and turns out they were. Who knows how long they were actually sitting there for. Still I did not say anything or complain and just wanted to get my cats pay and leave. They came out with my cats and I gave them my payment. She Took my card, she said we’ll be right out. She went inside. I waited . And Waited. No one. No one coming out. At this point I'm just mad. I get out of my car to go see what’s taking so long. And the tech is walking out...WITHOUT my card to help someone else. I asked her “hey where’s my card i’ve been waiting.” She looked at me like i was nuts and said “oh she never brought it to you?”....I'm frustrated because SHE was the one who took my card!! I Immediately got my card back after that. What the heck were they doing? My appointment was at 11am and I did not leave until after 2pm. I normally have a wonderful experience but the different vet and techs were inconsiderate and had poor communication. I am not sure what changes took place there but that was an overall horrible and frustrating experience.

I emailed to cancel an appointment for my cat, who was essentially in hospice, because the time had come to euthanize him. Never heard back from them again. Granted, I was only a customer for about a month, but the lack of empathy at such a difficult time reflects very poorly on the admin staff. Thank you Dr. Phillips for taking on Sam under unusual circumstances. I really appreciate your attention and flexibility during my boy's last days.

Got us in on a cancellation and helped our dog with an ear infection. Great service!

Professional vet who seems very knowledgeable, but they charge 2-3 times what others charge for medications and conveniently forget to tell you the price until after they charge your card. Also failed to tell me that a medication for my cat was maple-flavored until after I was charged for it. It still sits unused because the odd flavor choice is unappealing. They really seem to be using social distancing to their advantage to part people from their money.

Wow FANTASTIC SERVICE! We were with our previous Vet for 20 years. We needed emergency services and our vet was too busy so we tried northgate. I was pleasantly surprised on the quality and love! They checked in over 3 times over phone. Needless to say we switched over. After 20 years we feel more like family here than the other place. Thank you Northgate Veternary Clinic for loving our animals as much as we do! ❤????????

Love the employees and vets. Always can get a quick appointment. Obvious everyone there loves dogs and cats. A little expensive, but we want the best for our pups.

If you’re getting a new pet, and especially if it’s your first pet, definitely don’t choose Northgate Vet. My first appointment was alright, Dr. Hazard seems kind and caring over the phone and answered my questions. However the administrative side of things is a disaster. The second time I came it turns out they had not saved a copy of my dogs medical records. Seems like a pretty basic thing to do. They took my dog inside anyways and I frantically got my roommate to text me a picture of his records so that I could make sure they didn’t give him the wrong vaccines. Super unprofessional. Since then I have had a few health concerns with my pup and every time I call they are no help. I know they are busy due to COVID and I totally understand that but you could at least take a few moments to answer some questions. Last time I was in they told me my dog had an ear infection (which they only found out because I asked them to check his ears) but gave me no insight as to why he may have gotten one, how I can prevent this from being a chronic thing, what the treatment is, etc. Turns out the meds they gave him may have made him sick, but I haven’t been able to talk to them about that since they shut me down on the phone every time. I’m at the point where if I’m concerned about my dog and I’m reading articles online telling me to consult my vet, I feel like there’s no point in even trying. I know they’re gonna say “uh, idk, take him to the ER.” If I’m paying this place this much money, I’d like to find someone who will answer a few simple questions.

Good care but very over priced. My cats have been patient there for years and then i got a kitten that need to be fixed and they gave me a price for it that seemed normal to me because that vet was all i knew. But this time I decided to call around to other vets. They tried to charge me almost double what other vets would charge me for the same quality of care.
