Metro Dog Seattle, Washington

Metro Dog is a great place to drop off your hound for a few days. I've been there 3 times and the past 2 my pup has gone bonkers when we pull into the parking lot. He clearly loves it and the rates are good, especially for an in city boarder. And yes, they will give your dog a bath right before you pick her/him up if you so request. Just nice people and it seems like an efficient and caring operation. Happy to give a review.

Took my first aid class here! Very indepth, and all the instructors are SUPER nice and knowledgeable. Loved every bit of it.

I take my dog here for day care and he loves it as soon as we get there. I have a nervous/anxious dog but whenever we arrive to Metro Dog, he's so excited to go inside with the staff. I love that they have couches and chairs so that he can relax when he's tired out from playing. He always comes home tired and happy. The staff are also so friendly and responsive over email and phone.

I’m surprised this place is still open. I picked my girl up after a two-night stay and she had been thoroughly abused. It took days of rebonding with gentle massages and long walks to bring her out of it. She still cowers when we bring out the broom, shovel or rake, well over a year later. Im finally now calm enough to post a review. These guys should not be in any kind of dog business!

Best place EVER! My dog and I look forward to her Metro Dog days cause she gets to play with her friends and I get to visiting with the moist amazing dog caregivers ever!! Our family is so blessed

I bring my little terrier here for daycare and boarding. While it might not be the fanciest daycare around, the staff is quite nice and seem passionate about dogs.

DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG(S) HERE!!! I wish I was able to give it 0 stars. I've used Metro Dog quite a bit in the past and have never really had a problem, the people seemed nice. Other than the smell which was disgusting and unsanitary, everything seemed ok. Well that's where I'm wrong. I had brought my dog to daycare and was in the fenced area where you let your dog go when I saw Heather grab a dogs skin and yank the poor little thing to the ground. The dog looked so scared. Then she was opening the gate, (not aware that I was there with my dog) and kicked another dog right in the stomach, the dog yelped and ran away. I was so shocked to see the manager Heather act this way towards dogs. I turned around and left, there is no way I will ever bring my babies here again. The owners need to fire this lady and she should go to prison for animal cruelty. Ill make sure to let everyone that I know that also uses MetroDog for boarding or daycare to stop right away unless they want an injured dog and a giant vet bill. I had called to talk to the owners about this, but I didn't get an answer. No wonder they don't have cameras in their facility, they don't want people know they beat the dogs. Its a shame, hopefully they get people who actually care about the animals to work there.

Our boy has been going to MetroDog for a year and a half. He is so excited when we turn onto 16th Ave and he knows where we are headed! He is always so eager to get inside to see his buddies. What makes it even easier for us to leave him there is how warmly he is greeted by the staff. They’re obviously real dog lovers. Every time he shows up, he gets welcomed in with rubs and scratches in his favorite spots. He has a few favorites on staff and he licks their faces like they’re long-lost family every time he sees them. The team there has been understanding of him as a picky eater, and they’ve devised some tricks to get him to eat his lunch (some days). We are happy to have a safe and fun place our dog can spend his days when we aren’t able to be home with him. Thanks, MetroDog!

Great urban dog boarding spot off of Elliott Avenue! My dog always loves her time there and I am always amazed at how tired she is when she leaves!

I love the people, and care they give to my dog, at Metro Dog. We've been going to Metro Dog about a year now. Since we travel a good bit we always feel so comfortable knowing that Metro Dog is watching out for our fur baby. Recently when we were gone over Thanksgiving and our dog scratched his eye playing around. He's still a young dog. Metro Dog was there to save the day. On a holiday night they took him to our vet and since our vet could not keep him overnight for observation, Metro Dog took him to the 24 hr emergency vet. They kept me right up to date on his diagnosis and recommended treatment. His eye was ok but it could have gotten much worse if he had not been diagnosed and treated right away. Some pills and ointment fixed him right up. I was so relieved and thankful Metro Dog, spent a good part of Thanksgiving eve and morning making sure my little one was well cared for. Like you I love my fur kids and I will never worry about the time I spend away from them knowing that the awesome care giverd at Metro are taking care of my dog. Whole heartedly recommend them. ❤

I love this day care the most because 1) it has an outdoor area 2) my dog never comes home smelling funky 3) they are super flexible and have a mom and pop place kind of vibe

I haven't had my dog here but coworkers have. Always booked due to location and that's about the best feedback I've gotten. They do seem to be great working with the dogs which can be spied upon out front.

My dog is a rescue and I was nervous at first about trying out day care because I wasn't sure if he'd get along with other dogs. The staff were so calming and caring, and assured me they'd do everything to make his trial day go smoothly. Fast forward a few months and now my dog LOVES going to day care. Once we turn the corner down the street in the car he realizes where we're heading and starts freaking out in the car. Once there, he doesn't even notice me leave and instantly starts running around with his dog friends. I think he likes it there more than he does at home! Thank you, Metro Dog, for taking such great care of my pup!

We have been using Metro Dog as our go to daycare for our GSD, for over a year and half now. He’s excited even before I pull up to the place, comes home exhausted but happy. The staff (especially Heather and Leticia) know him well and are always engaging amd welcoming. I really enjoy getting a verbal report/summary of his shenanigans throughout the day.

Love this place. Great employees! Wonderful environment. Very flexible on pick up and drop times and days. Have limited overnight boarding as well. My dog is always happy to be there and sad to leave.

So I have not been to Metro Dog exactly but I did sit in on the Metro Dog staff's "Walks & Wags Pet First Aid" class and it was excellent. It was held out at Fleet Reserve Association Branch 310 in Silverdale, WA, was a ten hour course and really was completely worth it. It's a lot of information but I really thought that everyone did a really good job of keeping us attention deficit folks on track. I would definitely recommend to all who can make the trip!

They are always so wonderful to me and my dog. My pup is always happy to go here. Sincere genuine people that care for dogs. No frills just fair nice people.
